Abstract

The research, which was conducted at MI Attaqwa 28 Bekasi City, aimed to describe the level of understanding of students' mathematical concepts on Cube and Block material. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with the sampling technique used is purpose sampling. The subjects in this study were 32 students. Based on the results of research and data analysis that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of class V students on cube and block material is classified as a concept understanding percentage of 76%, and the average error made by students reaches 24%, which is low as much as 20 Subjects get a score of 75 representing the category high ability to understand mathematical concepts High ability students are able to master all indicators. A total of 12 subjects scored <75 representing the category of low mathematical concept understanding ability, unable to master all indicators, students were unable to explain systematic concepts and were unable to determine the steps in mathematical concepts.    Latar Belakang. Pemahaman konsep matematika menjadi fundamental dalam membangun pemahaman matematika yang komprehensif. Tujuan Penelitianuntuk mendeskripsikan tingkat pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi Kubus dan Balok.Penelitian juga akan menjelaskan bagaimana tahapan yang dilakukan oleh siswa sampai membentuk pemahaman konsep matematis pada materi kubus. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purpose sampling. Subjek Penelitiandipilih dengan cara menyebarkan masalah matematika terlebih dahulu, lalu memilih subjek dengan kemampuan komunikasi yang baik. Dalam penelitian ini siswa yang memenuhi persayaratan sebanyak 32 orang. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkanbahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas V pada materi kubus dan balok tergolong dengan presentase paham konsep sebanyak76% , dan rata-rata kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa mencapai 24% tergolong rendah sebanyak 20 Subjek memperoleh nilai ≥ 75 mewakili kategori kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika tinggi Siswa berkemampuan tinggi mampu menguasai semua indikator dengan baik. Sebanyak 12 subjek memperoleh nilai < 75 mewakili kategori kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika rendah tidak mampu menguasai semua indikator, siswa belum mampu memaparkan konsep yang bersifat sistematis.

Abstract

Background. Self-efficacy and mathematics anxiety are like two linked currencies, when a student's level of self-efficacy is high, mathematics anxiety is low and vice versa, this condition is related when learning mathematics. Purpose This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and mathematics anxiety on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. This research method uses a survey method, the population is all elementary school students in class VI in Ciwandan District which consists of 4 clusters and a sample of 100 students is taken with a sampling technique using multistage random sampling and for research instruments in the form of questionnaires and tests. The research results show that the results of the first hypothesis show that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and students' mathematical reasoning abilities with a moderate degree of correlation and a positive relationship. The second hypothesis is that there is a relationship between mathematics anxiety and students' mathematical reasoning abilities, which has a moderate degree of correlation and a negative relationship. The third hypothesis is that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and mathematics anxiety on students' mathematical reasoning abilities with a strong relationship in a positive direction, while the coefficient of determination is 0.386, meaning that the contribution of mathematical reasoning abilities is 38.6%, which can be predicted based on self-efficacy and mathematics. anxiety, while the remaining 61.4% can be predicted from other factors.   Latar Belakang. Self-efficacy dan mathematics anxiety bagaikan dua mata uang yang saling berikatan, ketika tingkat self-efficacy siswa tinggi maka mathematics anxiety rendah begitupula sebaliknya, kodisi ini berhubungan ketika mempelajari matematika. Tujuan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self-efficacy dan mathematics anxiety terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei, populasinya, yaitu seluruh siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas VI di Kecamatan Ciwandan yang terdiri dari 4 gugus dan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 100 siswa dengan teknik sampling menggunakan multistage random sampling dan untuk istrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dan tes. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan hasil hipotesis pertama diperoleh bahwa terdapat hubungan antara self-efficacy terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dengan derajat hubungan korelasi sedang dan bentuk hubungan yang positif. Hipotesis kedua diperoleh bahwa terdapat terdapat hubungan antara mathematics anxiety terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa mempunyai derajat hubungan korelasi sedang dan bentuk hubungan yang negatif. Hipotesis ketiga diperoleh bahwa terdapat hubungan antara self-efficacy dan mathematics anxiety terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dengan derajat hubungan kuat dengan arah positif, sedangkan nilai koefisien determinasi diperoleh sebesar 0,386 artinya kontribusi kemampuan penalaran matematis 38,6% dapat diprediksi berdasarkan self-efficacy dan mathematics anxiety, sedangkan sisanya yaitu 61,4 % dapat diprediksi dari faktor yang lain.

Abstract

Background. Learning independence is one of the goals that must be achieved in students as a sign of the development of students being able to organize and direct themselves to be better. Learning independence is strongly influenced by several factors including having a love of learning, having self-confidence, accepting learning challenges, high curiosity and accepting responsibility. The purpose of this study is to analyze the amount of student independence during distance learning. The sample in this study was 105 class XI high school students. The research method used was a case study using observations in the form of a questionnaire and conducting interviews with 3 students. The research results show that the standard deviation of positive and negative statements is always smaller than the average, this indicates that each member of the sample has the same response. The current situation, namely the occurrence of the COVID-19 outbreak, initially made many students unprepared for distance learning. Over time, this distance learning was accepted by students. Even students see positive things during this distance learning such as minimizing travel time, learning time outside of online classes is more flexible. In addition, students have more ways and choices in solving math problems through online platforms. In conclusion, the current distance learning due to the COVID-19 outbreak has changed the students' perspective of the learning process, which initially had fear due to the gradual inability of students to overcome this fear.   Latar Belakang.Kemandirian belajar merupakan salah satu tujuan yang harus dicapai dalam diri siswa sebagai tanda perkembangan siswa mampu mengatur dan mengarahkan dirinya menjadi lebih baik. Kemandirian belajar sangat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa factor di antaranya memeiliki kecintaan terhadap belajar, mempunyai kepercayaan diri, menerima tantangan belajar, rasa ingin tahu yang tinggi dan menerima tanggung jawab. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk menganalisa besar kemandirian siswa selama pembelajaran jarak jauh. Sampel pada penelitian ini 105 siswa SMA Kelas XI. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan menggunakan obesrvasi berupa angket dan melakukan wawancara terhadap 3 siswa. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan standar deviasi pada respon pernyataan positif dan negative selalu lebih kecil dari reratanya, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa setiap anggota sampel mempunyai kesamaan respon. Keadaan saat ini yaitu terjadinya wabah COVID-19 pada awalnya membuat banyak siswa tidak siap dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Seiring berjalannya waktu pembelajaran jarak jauh ini diterima siswa. Bahkan siswa melihat hal-hal positif selama pembelajaran jarak jauh ini seperti meminimalisir waktu perjalanan, waktu belajar di luar kelas online lebih fleksibel. Selain itu siswa lebih banyak cara dan pilihan dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika lewat platform online. Kesimpulannya dengan adanya pembelajaran jarak jauh saat ini akibat terjadinya wabah COVID-19 mengubah cara pandang siswa terhadap proses belajar, yang semula ada ketakutan karena ketidakmampuan secara bertahap siswa dapat mengatasi ketakutan tersebut.

Abstract

Background. During the Covid-19 pandemic, it had a major impact on world activities, one of which was education. Learners and teachers must apply appropriate knowledge transfer methods. Application of Distance Learning (PJJ) which was implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in Indonesia. In learning the transfer of knowledge is very important to ensure the understanding of students in receiving learning. This study aims to determine students' understanding of the material opportunities in distance learning. Qualitative research based on this case study was conducted at the Economics Vocational School in Depok City, with three students with different ability categories, namely high, medium and low levels based on learning outcomes. The researcher conducted interviews by distributing questionnaires to the three students via the Google form. The results of this study reveal that distance learning (PJJ) in understanding opportunity material based on its history can be applied in the lives of less than all three students based on ability levels. Contribution. Being able to identify student understanding during distance learning contributes to knowledge that must be prepared by teachers in providing online learning in the future online.   Latar Belakang. Pada masa pandemik covid-19 ini berdampak besar pada kegiatan dunia, salah satunya adalah Pendidikan. Peserta didik dan guru harus menerapkan metode transfer ilmu yang sesuai. Penerapan Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) yang diterapkan di masa pandemik Covid-19 terutama di Indonesia. Dalam pembelajaran transfer ilmu sangat penting untuk memastikan pemahaman peserta didik dalam menerima pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman siswa pada materi peluang dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh. Penelitian kualitatif berdasarkan studi kasus ini di lakukan di SMK Ekonomika Kota Depok, dengan tiga peserta didik dengan kategori kemampuan yang berbeda yaitu tingkat tinggi, menengah, dan rendah berdasarkan hasil belajar. Peneliti melakukan wawancara dengan menyebarkan kuesioner pada ketiga peserta didik melalui google form. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) dalam pemahaman mengenai materi peluang berdasarkan sejarahnya dapat di aplikasikan dalam kehidupan kurang menyeluruh dari ketiga siswa berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan. Kontribusi. Dapat mengidentifikasi pemahaman siswa selama pembelajaran jarak jauh berkontribusi terhadap pengetahuan yang harus dipersiapkan oleh guru dalam memberikan pembelajaran secara online di masa yang akan daring.

Abstract

Bibliometric analysis is the mapping of research research trends by processing metadata from Google Scolar. The aim is to find out research trends in applied mathematics. The research was conducted on April 30, 2021 through searching the Google Scholar database with the keywords applied mathematics with the publication name journal and the maximum number of results is 500 journals as a sample. Metadata retrieval using the Publish or Perish (POP) application version 7.31. The PoP data were then analyzed descriptively based on the publication year, publisher name, researcher productivity, and journal ranking. To get an accurate map of research developments, PoP data is exported to Exel CSV and Result as RIS file formats. The CSV data was created in a pivot table and the RIS data was analyzed using the VOSViewer (VV) application. The results of the research show that the number of publications of research results in the years 2005-2021 has fluctuated and is mostly published in Elsevier. The most prolific foreign researcher in publishing research results is Biher Bist with 14 articles. The VV visualization shows that the map of the development of applied mathematics research is divided into 5 clusters. Cluster 1 consists of 27 topics, cluster 2 consists of 15 topics, cluster 3 consists of 10 topics, cluster 4 consists of 7 topics, and cluster 5 consists of 3 topics with the most research covering mathematics, paper, problem, solution, system, university, department, science.   Analisis bibliometrik merupakan pemetaan tren penelitian penelitian dengan mengolah metadata dari Google Scolar. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui tren penelitian matematika terapan. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal 30 April 2021 melalui pencarian database Google Scholar dengan kata kunci matematika terapan dengan nama publikasi jurnal dan jumlah hasil maksimal 500 jurnal sebagai sampel. Pengambilan metadata menggunakan aplikasi Publish or Perish (POP) versi 7.31. Data PoP kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif berdasarkan tahun penerbitan, nama penerbit, produktivitas peneliti, dan pemeringkatan jurnal. Untuk mendapatkan peta perkembangan penelitian yang akurat, data PoP diekspor ke Exel CSV dan Result sebagai format file RIS. Data CSV dibuat dalam tabel pivot dan data RIS dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi VOSViewer (VV). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jumlah publikasi hasil penelitian pada tahun 2005-2021 mengalami fluktuasi dan sebagian besar dimuat di Elsevier. Peneliti asing yang paling produktif mempublikasikan hasil penelitiannya adalah Biher Bist dengan 14 artikel. Visualisasi VV menunjukkan peta perkembangan penelitian matematika terapan terbagi menjadi 5 cluster. Cluster 1 terdiri dari 27 topik, cluster 2 terdiri dari 15 topik, cluster 3 terdiri dari 10 topik, cluster 4 terdiri dari 7 topik, dan cluster 5 terdiri dari 3 topik dengan penelitian terbanyak meliputi matematika, makalah, masalah, solusi, sistem, universitas, departemen, sains.

Abstract

Background. The block problem in this study is the main part of the creative thinking instrument designed as an open-ended task that stimulates students to think creatively which will be analyzed based on the category of creative thinking. The research aims to analyze students' creative thinking in solving block problems. Based on the results of the study, 3 aspects of creative thinking categories will be analyzed, namely fluency, flexibility, and originality. This research was conducted in Junior High School with subject criteria that could solve open-ended problems. The research method used qualitative by giving open-ended assignments accompanied by think-aloud and interview guidelines. Data analysis used descriptive analysis in accordance with qualitative research with triangulation of methods, and theories. The results showed that there were 3 subjects selected based on the completeness of the data from the think-aloud, interviews, and work results so that S1 was determined as the subject of the fluency category, S2 as the subject of the flexibility category, and S3 as the subject of the originality category. Based on the results of the study, the subject of fluency solved the problem in a short time then the answers produced varied, but with the same strategy, the subject of flexibility found various answers with various strategies, and the subject of originality produced answers that were different and unique from other subjects.   Latar belakang. Blok soal dalam penelitian ini merupakan bagian utama dari instrumen berpikir kreatif yang dirancang sebagai tugas terbuka yang merangsang siswa berpikir kreatif yang akan dianalisis berdasarkan kategori berpikir kreatif. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemikiran kreatif siswa dalam memecahkan masalah balok. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian akan dianalisis 3 aspek kategori berpikir kreatif yaitu kelancaran, fleksibilitas, dan orisinalitas. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama dengan kriteria mata pelajaran yang mampu menyelesaikan masalah open-ended. Metode penelitian yang digunakan kualitatif dengan memberikan tugas terbuka disertai pedoman berpikir keras dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif sesuai dengan penelitian kualitatif dengan triangulasi metode, dan teori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 3 subjek yang dipilih berdasarkan kelengkapan data hasil think-aloud, wawancara, dan kerja sehingga S1 ditetapkan sebagai subjek kategori kelancaran, S2 sebagai subjek kategori fleksibilitas, dan S3 sebagai mata kuliah kategori orisinalitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, subjek kelancaran menyelesaikan soal dalam waktu singkat kemudian jawaban yang dihasilkan bervariasi, namun dengan strategi yang sama, subjek fleksibilitas menemukan jawaban yang beragam dengan berbagai strategi, dan subjek orisinalitas menghasilkan jawaban yang bervariasi. berbeda dan unik dari mata pelajaran lainnya.

Abstract

The purpose of this qualitative research is to analyze students' proportional reasoning in solving word problems. The research instrument is a proportional reasoning task sheet for comparison material that has been validated. The subjects of this study were 20 students of grade VII junior high school. The data collection procedure begins with students working on research instruments to determine students' proportional reasoning abilities. After working on the proportional reasoning task sheet, interviews were conducted to find out the students' proportional reasoning, then 3 research subjects were selected to be interviewed with a level of proportional reasoning that fulfills the character namely: (1) building relationships between quantities, (2) writing down quantity ratios to present problems , (3) stimulate to make multiplicative relationships; and (4) looking for unknown values. Data analysis techniques in this study were carried out by transcribing the verbal data collected and reviewing all available data from various sources, namely student answers, think alouds, and interviews. The results of the study obtained 3 subjects from class VII SMP indicating that from the description and analysis of the subjects the researcher found was holistic proportional reasoning.   Tujuan penelitian kualitatif ini adalah untuk menganalisis penalaran proporsional siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa lembar tugas penalaran proporsional materi perbandingan yang telah divalidasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP yang berjumlah 20 siswa. Prosedur pengumpulan data diawali dengan siswa mengerjakan instrumen penelitian untuk mengetahui kemampuan penalaran proporsional siswa. Setelah mengerjakan lembar tugas penalaran proporsional, wawancara dilakukan untuk mengetahui penalaran proporsional yang dimiliki siswa, kemudian dipilih 3 subjek penelitian untuk diwawancarai dengan tingkat penalaran proporsional yang memenuhi karakter yakni: (1) membangung hubungan antar kuantitas, (2) menuliskan kuantitas rasio untuk mempresentasikan masalah, (3) menstimulasikan untuk membuat hubungan multiplikatif; dan (4) mencari nilai yang tidak diketahui.Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mentranskripkan data verbal yang dikumpulkan dan meninjau semua data yang tersedia dari berbagai sumber yaitu jawaban siswa, think alouds, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 3 subjek dari kelas VII SMP menunjukkan bahwa dari deskripsi dan analisis subjek yang peneliti temukan adalah penalaran proporsional tipe holistik

Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of mathematics textbooks for class XI students at SMKN 48 Jakarta majoring in Business and Management. This mathematics textbook was made due to students' lack of understanding of mathematics material. This is reinforced by the results of an analysis of the needs of students at SMKN 48 Jakarta majoring in Business and Management, namely 86.11% of students stated difficulties in learning mathematics. Based on the analysis of students' needs, as many as 22.71% of students chose statistics as material that was considered difficult, so the material to be developed was statistics material. This research and development uses the Research and Development method which refers to the Borg & Gall model. The mathematics textbook developed has been validated by material and language experts with an average percentage value of 82.96% in the very good category, and media expert validation with an average percentage value of 91.78% in the very good category. Then trials were carried out on teachers and students. In the teacher evaluation results obtained an average percentage value of 91.87% in the very good category. In the results of the small-scale student trials, an average percentage value of 89.92% was obtained in the very good category and the large-scale student trials obtained an average percentage value of 83.64% in the very good category. So that the developed mathematics learning video is feasible to be used in the learning process at school with an overall average of 88.03%.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa buku ajar matematika untuk siswa kelas XI di SMKN 48 Jakarta jurusan Bisnis dan Manajemen. Buku ajar matematika ini dibuat karena kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap materi matematika. Hal tersebut diperkuat oleh hasil analisis kebutuhan siswa di SMKN 48 Jakarta jurusan Bisnis dan Manajemen, yaitu 86,11% siswa menyatakan kesulitan dalam mempelajari matematika. Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan siswa, sebanyak 22,71% siswa memilih statistika sebagai materi yang dianggap sulit, sehingga materi yang akan dikembangkan adalah materi statistika. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini menggunakan metode Research and Development yang mengacu pada model Borg & Gall. Buku ajar matematika yang dikembangkan telah melalui validasi ahli materi dan bahasa dengan nilai persentase rata-rata sebesar 82,96% dengan kategori sangat baik, dan validasi ahli media dengan nilai persentase rata-rata sebesar 91,78% dengan kategori sangat baik. Kemudian dilakukan uji coba kepada guru dan siswa. Pada hasil evaluasi guru diperoleh nilai persentase rata-rata sebesar 91,87% dengan kategori sangat baik. Pada hasil uji coba siswa skala kecil diperoleh nilai persentase rata-rata sebesar 89,92% dengan kategori sangat baik dan uji coba siswa skala besar diperoleh nilai persentase rata-rata sebesar 83,64% dengan kategori sangat baik. Sehingga video pembelajaran matematika yang dikembangkan layak untuk dimanfaatkan dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah dengan rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 88,03%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students' written mathematical communication abilities on quadrilateral material. This research is qualitative descriptive research where the data was collected using the results of written tests and interviews with research subjects consisting of three class VII students from groups of students with different mathematical abilities. Based on the results of the study, S-1 subjects had good written communication skills by fulfilling all written mathematical communication indicators. S-2 subjects can fulfill almost all indicators even though there are errors in the calculations. As well as S-3 subjects having less written mathematical communication skills, S-3 subjects can only meet the indicators of writing down mathematical ideas in writing, which means that S-3 subjects are less able to explain, present, interpret, and evaluate mathematical ideas in writing.   Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis tulis siswa pada materi bangun datar segiempat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskripsi kualitatif yang pengambilan datanya menggunakan hasil tes tulis dan wawancara dengan subyek penelitian yang terdiri dari tiga orang siswa kelas VII dari kelompok siswa dengan kemampuan matematika yang berbeda. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, subyek S-1 memiliki kemampuan komunikasi tulis yang baik dengan memenuhi semua indikator komunikasi matematis tulis. Subyek S-2 dapat memenuhi hampir semua indikator meskipun terdapat kesalahan dalam perhitungan. Serta subyek S-3 memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematis tulis yang kurang, subyek S-3 hanya dapat memenuhi indikator menuliskan ide-ide matematis secara tertulis, yang berarti subyek S-3 kurang mampu dalam menjelaskan, menyajikan, menginterpretasikan, dan mengevaluasi ide-ide matematis secara tertulis.
