Abstract

This research seeks to examine and evaluate how tax revenue and inflation impact Indonesia's economic growth from 1994 to 2024. The researchers employed an explanatory methodology with a quantitative framework, utilizing time series secondary data sourced from Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analytical approach involved multiple linear regression analysis conducted through Eviews 12 software, complemented by t-tests and F-tests to assess the statistical significance of how independent variables influence the dependent variable. The findings reveal that when examined individually, tax revenue demonstrates a positive and statistically significant relationship with economic growth, while inflation shows a negative but statistically insignificant relationship with Indonesia's economic growth during the study period. When analyzed collectively, both tax revenue and inflation variables demonstrate a positive and statistically significant combined effect on Indonesia's economic growth throughout the 1994-2024 timeframe.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD), Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), and Capital Expenditure on fiscal stress in 13 regencies/municipalities in Central Sulawesi Province during the period 2018–2022. The approach used is quantitative with panel data, which is a combination of time series and cross-sectional data sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). Analysis was conducted using panel data regression models with EViews software. The selection of the best model was done through a series of statistical tests: Chow Test, Hausman Test, and Lagrange Multiplier, which showed that the Random Effect model was the most appropriate. The results show that simultaneously, PAD, GRDP, and Capital Expenditure have a significant effect on fiscal stress. Partially, PAD and Capital Expenditure have positive and significant effects, while GRDP does not show a significant effect. The coefficient of determination indicates that most variations in fiscal stress can be explained by these three variables. These findings confirm that fiscal stress results from complex interactions of various economic factors, with PAD and Capital Expenditure as the main factors. The implications of this study highlight the importance of strengthening regional fiscal independence through PAD optimization, efficient Capital Expenditure management, and efforts to achieve sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate and assess how the principles of procurement for goods and services are put into practice in the Government of the Central Sulawesi Province. Through a qualitative research methodology, information was gathered from observation, interviews, and documentation with four chosen participants. The analysis was carried out in five distinct phases: data collection, data simplification, data demonstration, validation, and final thoughts. The evaluation of procurement principles is based on the criteria specified in Presidential Regulation No. 21 of 2021. The findings reveal that the core procurement principles such as transparency, accountability, openness, competition, and fairness, have not been fully implemented. Supporting factors include adequate facilities that comply with national procurement standards and a well-structured training model aligned with institutional needs. However, several challenges persist, including technical issues during tender announcements due to server disruptions, low participation rates during the registration phase, and limited responsiveness and personnel shortages during the job explanation stage. These findings highlight the need for improved infrastructure and administrative capacity to ensure effective and compliant procurement processes.

Abstract

PT. Palma Indo Boga (Catering Service) is a company engaged in catering, particularly for important events or other occasions. PT. Palma Indo Boga (Catering Service) requires raw material supplies ordered from suppliers; however, it often faces production process issues due to insufficient raw material supplies with the desired quality, caused by uncertainty from suppliers, as well as fluctuating raw material prices due to seasons or other factors. The research aimed to identify how planning at PT. Palma Indo Boga is conducted using the just-in-time method and to understand how the control of raw material inventory at PT. Palma Indo Boga is managed using the Just in Time method. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that production planning at PT. Palma Indo Boga is carried out in writing so that the production department can more easily execute the production process if it is made in writing so that it can be seen directly, accurately, in detail, and according to schedule, then PT. Palma Indo Boga does not stock raw materials in large quantities, as this can lead to the accumulation of raw material inventory that may spoil the raw materials and increase storage costs. PT. Palma Indo Boga often experiences both excess and shortage of raw materials, so PT. Palma Indo Boga orders raw materials according to production needs. However, if there is an excess of raw materials, it can be used as reserve stock, and if there is a shortage of raw materials, the company will reorder.

Abstract

Sustainable economic growth requires structural transformation to enhance the competitiveness of leading sectors in a region. This research aims to analyze the structural transformation of Palu City's economy from 2019 to 2024 using Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift-Share Analysis (SSA) analytical tools. The research results show that sectors such as Construction, Wholesale and Retail Trade, and Information and Communication have LQ values greater than 1 and contribute significantly to Palu City's GRDP. Conversely, the Agriculture and Manufacturing sectors reflect challenges in maintaining competitiveness. Results from Shift-Share Analysis reveal that the Information and Communication, Trade and Construction sectors remain the main pillars in post-disaster economic recovery, despite decreases in some components. This research contributes to understanding Palu City's economic transformation and provides a foundation for more effective economic development policies.

Abstract

The instability of stock market prices necessitates the utilization of precise predictive models, with ARIMA and Prophet providing alternative methods for addressing patterns, seasonal variances, and changes in value. This study aims to compare the forecasting performance of ARIMA and Prophet models in predicting the stock price of PT Mayora Indah Tbk. (MYOR.JK) using daily closing price data obtained from Yahoo Finance, spanning the period from January 1, 2018, to May 2, 2025. ARIMA was employed for its robustness in handling stationary and linear time series, whereas Prophet was applied due to its flexibility in capturing nonlinear components, seasonal fluctuations, and sudden market changes. The models were developed and evaluated in RStudio, with accuracy measured using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The ARIMA (1,1,1) model produced a MAPE of 3.21% and white noise residuals, signifying reliable short-term predictions yet limited adaptability to complex long-run dynamics. Conversely, the Prophet model achieved a lower MAPE of 2.87%, exhibiting superior predictive accuracy, trend adaptability, and sensitivity to abrupt price movements. Overall, the findings indicate that Prophet outperforms ARIMA for daily stock price forecasting and underscore the importance of selecting appropriate models in financial time series analysis, while also encouraging future exploration of hybrid or deep learning-based approaches such as Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks to further enhance prediction accuracy.

Abstract

The global shift toward a digital economy is accelerating the adoption of cashless systems. However, infrastructural, social, and economic barriers create uneven adoption, especially in developing regions. This transition presents both opportunities and challenges for financial inclusion and the cash management sector. A quantitative survey of 533 respondents examined digital payment habits, comfort levels, and acceptance of a cashless economy. Using binomial logistic regression and Kruskal-Wallis tests, the study analyzed how age, gender, employment, usage frequency, and comfort affect support for going fully digital. Results showed younger respondents and high-frequency users were significantly more supportive. Gender, employment, and comfort were not significant predictors. However, group-level differences in comfort and usage across age and employment categories highlight the persistent influence of socioeconomic factors on digital engagement. While digital payments are frequently used for online shopping, retail, and transit, concerns remain about privacy, inequality, and internet reliability. The key finding is that regular use of digital tools more than demographics or stated preference drives acceptance. This necessitates that the cash management sector modernizes operations, invest in digital capabilities, and build inclusive infrastructure to remain relevant. The study offers critical guidance for policymakers and industry leaders navigating the cashless transition.

Abstract

The outstanding performances of Yoruba women and their activism in ancient and modern contexts have earned them significant respect in Yoruba societies. In pre-colonial Nigeria, women like Queen Aminat of Zaria and Nana Itshekiri exemplified female activism, while ancient Yoruba women such as Moremi Ajasoro, Efunroye Tinubu, and Efunsetan Aniwura made substantial impacts on their societies through determined efforts that advanced women's causes. Notably, some Yoruba kingdoms recognized women as paramount traditional rulers, including Luwo Gbagida as a woman Ooni in ancient Ile-Ife and Orompoto as a woman Alaafin in ancient Oyo kingdom, demonstrating that women occupied leadership positions in pre-colonial Nigeria. This paper evaluates concepts and activities of Yoruba women activists in post-colonial Nigeria, highlighting their achievements in adding value to women's lives and society at large. Additionally, it examines actions taken to achieve the UN-recommended 35% affirmation for women. Using thematic methods, the paper argues that women have historically gained irresistible positions, forming the basis for continued gender equality agitation. Yoruba women have remained prominent since post-colonial Nigeria, with their activities being notably impactful and elevating many to positions of repute. The study concludes that women's activism has served as a catalyst for women's development in Yoruba land and Nigeria generally. It recommends that women should be more proactive in pursuing their needs, form synergies for unified understanding and presentation, and organize conferences to develop modalities for achieving gender equality goals.
