Abstract

This research optimizes tofu production at Sumedang Mas Ponimin Tofu Factory, Medan, which produces white tofu, yellow tofu, and pong tofu. Facing the challenges of production efficiency and profit improvement due to manual methods, an optimization model was developed using simplex and branch and bound methods. Primary and secondary data were used to evaluate raw material availability, production capacity, and profitability. The results showed an increase in daily production from 118 to 142 boards and an increase in profit from Rp1,888,500 to Rp2,263,500. This research confirms the effectiveness of applying mathematical optimization methods in improving operational efficiency and decision-making in the food industry.

Abstract

Culinary tourism has its own appeal for tourists visiting an area, but the tourists who come may not necessarily know the culinary offerings in that area, so a system is needed that can provide recommendations to tourists. A recommendation system is a system that can provide suggestions to its users regarding a particular item, and the suggestions given are used in various decision-making processes. The method used is Collaborative Filtering. The problem is how to apply the Collaborative Filtering method to recommend food with many influencing factors, resulting in a relevant recommendation. The recommendation process involves grouping users into a specific group through the clustering process using the K-Mean method, after which the software calculates the similarity between the user and the group members. The calculation of similarity between users and their group members uses the Pearson correlation coefficient formula. The determination of the recommendation results provided uses a ranking system with the highest recommendation values. The data used consists of 18 food data, 100 training data, and 10 testing data. The results of the relevance percentage test reached 80%.

Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a dangerous disease that is easily transmitted through mosquito bites of the species Aedes aegypti or Aedes albopictus. Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in Indonesia is an endemic disease and a serious health problem that causes many deaths. Based on the data obtained, the incidence of DHF is still high, especially in Medan City with its high population density and mobility. It is therefore necessary to have more intensive efforts to prevent DHF, one of which is by administering vaccines. Therefore, vaccination is used as an option that is commonly used to control the spread of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). The purpose of this research is to get a mathematical model with the effect of the vaccine, to find out the analysis of the mathematical model with the effect of the vaccine, and to find out the analysis of the reproduction number () with the effect of the vaccine. TheSIR model was used to analyze the Basic Reproduction Number. According to this study, the basicreproduction number of DHF

Abstract

In the agricultural sector, food crops are very important in human life because the results of food crops are basic human needs. This study discusses planting patterns to meet the availability of food crops. Planting patterns are very important to implement because it is to increase food production, so that food remains available and does not lack food needs. The study aims to determine the planting pattern in food crops so that the availability of food crops is met. The method used is Multi objective goal programming. Multi objective goal programming has more than one goal function to be achieved by minimizing deviations from the goal. The research obtained with a land area of 72525 Ha, the number of workers is 1000000, the need for organic fertilizer is 639000 kg / Ha, and the need for urea fertilizer as much as 14000000 kg / Ha can optimize planting patterns by planting types of food crop commodities in the of paddy and green beans.

Abstract

Factors causing environmental damage/disaster include internal and external damage. By maximizing the transportation system, we are able to address the social issues optimally so that we provide more positive impacts on public health, environmental health, and urban beauty. Factors related to distribution can make decisions about the routes of transportation. The purpose of this research is to optimize the route of truck transportation using the Hill Climbing Algorithm in the District of Medan Denai from one point to another towards the construction site of the Sentairai. Based on the results of this study, it shows that the route of truck transport to the top with a graphical information system using Ailgorithm Hill Climbing, the route of truck transport to the top with a graphical information system using Ailgorithm Hill Climbing in the District of Medan Aireai with the shortest route for transport to the top is through a route with a total distance of 32.25 km with a travel time of 85 minutess and a total time of 8 hours 20 minutess, namely through: Start Point (Kantor Camat Medan Area) - Pandau Hulu II Village - Kotamatsum II Village - Pasar Merah Timur Village - Kotamatsum III Village - Tegal Sari III Sub-district – Tegal Sari I Sub-district – Sei Rengas Permata Sub-district – Tegal Sari II Sub-district – Sei Rengas II Sub-district – Sukaramai II Sub-district – Sukaramai I Sub-district – Kotamatsum I Sub-district and TPA.

Abstract

The development of population increases every year causing food needs to increase, to meet food needs by increasing food crop productivity so that food availability can be sufficient. Food crops consist of rice, corn, green beans, peanuts, cassava, and sweet potatoes. Productivity in each region has different characteristics and therefore it is necessary to group the regions so that solution can be implemented in accordance with each of the characteristics of the region. The purpose of this study is to group districts/cities in North Sumatera Province based on food crop productivity using the k-means clustering method. Clustering k-means is method of grouping non-hierarchical data that attempts to partition existing data into one or more cluster or groups so that data that has the same characteristics are grouped into one same characterstics are grouped into other groups. The result of this study are the formation of 3 city district clusters namely, cluster 1 amounting to 1 regency/city, cluster 2 totaling 7 districts/cities, and cluster 3 totaling 25 districts/cities.

Abstract

The production process is an important thing that can affect profits. The production process also needs to be considered to increase profits to be more optimal. This optimization problem is still an obstacle for most businesses, one of which is the sale of meatballs with the owner of Bakso Bang Riski and Tante Juli located on Jl. Lapangan Golf Tuntungan. This study aims to optimize profits on meatball sales through the application of linear program models with the graph method. In the sale of meatballs studied using meat and flour raw materials to produce 200 servings of meatballs per day with a price per serving of Rp. 5000 and an average income of Rp. 200,000 per day. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis, developing mathematical models in the form of decision variables, objective functions, and constraint functions. The analysis results show that the graph method is effective in maximizing profits, with a maximum income of Rp4,000,000 per month and a profit of Rp3,800,000 or 80% of the total initial income. This method provides a practical solution for MSME players to improve production efficiency and business profits through a mathematical approach

Abstract

This study aims to optimize production at the Belva Busana convection shop using a linear programming method with a simplex approach. This study considers production constraints such as raw material availability, working hours, and labor capacity, and focuses on maximizing profits. Data were collected through online interviews with the production team for six days, from October 27 to November 3, 2024. The linear programming model built showed optimization results with an optimal production composition of 9.6 shirts and 19.2 housedresses, resulting in a maximum profit of IDR 300,000. The results of the study prove that the simplex method is effective in allocating resources efficiently, reducing waste, and increasing productivity. This method has also proven to be practical in making production decisions to increase efficiency and profitability
