Abstract

Secondary forest is part of the tropical rain forest in West Kalimantan which has a fairly high biodiversity. Benefits to be derived from secondary forests include wood as building materials and firewood, rattan as the raw material crafts, vegetables, fruits and pharmaceuticals. A number of benefits that are owned by secondary forests, making this region can not be separated from the influence of human activity and hand mix, especially people around who generally take the benefits and results of the forest area. 2.2 ha total area of research. The method used is the method with path-shaped combination of lines and line terraced placed purposive sampling, Based on the results of research conducted on the Secondary Forest Tanjung Bunut District of Tayan Hilir Sangggau found 24 type vegetation ranging from seedlings, saplings, poles, and tree. Based on their research results visible to differences in the number of species and individuals who found. Number of species and individuals were found in five of these pathways, namely the seedling stage 96 species, with the number of 894 individuals, saplings 63 species, with the number of 725 people, found 57 species of small trees , the number of 595 people, and there are 51 kinds of tree with the number of individuals 441. the structure of secondary forest vegetation Tanjung Bunut still good because forest cover consisting of a wide variety of plant species with equitable conditions. Nepenthes plants iniluding groud lianas (vines), married two and separate male and female ftowers on the different individual. Lite in the gronnd or attached to the trunk or branches of the other trees. Nepenthes are living in the open or shelter or poor nutrient habitats and having a furly high humidity. The purpose was determining diversity of types pitcher of plants, Nepenthes habitat of conditions are existing on Bukit Benua and distribution in pattern. The analysis results of date obtained six types pitches of plants like that Nepenthes ampullaria, N mirabilis, N gracilis, xkuchingensis, N xhookeriana and xneglecta with 592 individuals. Nepenthes condition habitat has found in the open location 413 individuals, shade has found 118 individuals and shaurd location has found 61 individuals the value of the hinghes species diversity (. N ampullaria of 0,15, whereas N xneglecta is very little of 0,07. Index value everneass (e) is very leind haighest N ampullaria 0,20, N xneglecta is very small 0,09. Abstract

Forest deforestation caused loss of habitat for endangered species. Changes in forest into oil palm plantation by PT Bumi Pratama Khatulistiwa (BPK) resulted in many conflicts with the community and make the loss of conservation value. Studies on areas that have a high conservation value necessary to maintain the stability of the clearing of forests to the environment is sustainable. Geographic information system technology (GIS) field of conservation is able to provide spatial information, determine the species habitat, analysis to find protected areas and mapping out areas of biodiversity.  The purpose of this study to determine the ability of GIS technology in providing information for the early identification of areas with high conservation value and determine which area has high conservation value (HCV) in the concession area of PT BPK and surrounding villages. Research was conducted for two months.  The research results show that GIS has enormous benefits in mapping out areas of high conservation value. Work on a large scale can be easily done and also save time, effort and cost. Location HCV 1 overlapping with the HCV 3 and 4 which are in the river, riparian and peat swamp forests. Location NKT 2 was not found, because most of the research area is an open area, there is no broad landscape. Location HCV 5 was not found, because most people in the study area does not depend anymore with natural forests.  Oil palm plantations PT BPK give people easy access to the city, to buy daily necessities. Location HCV 6 is located within the concession area of PT BPK namely padagi sites. The site was used by the Dayak community to worship ancestors and offer prayers at tuah jubata (god almighty one). Keywords: Geographic Information System (GIS), High Conservation Value (HCV), PT BPK.

Abstract

Dragonflies are spread throughout the world; the number is very abundant, especially in a wide variety of habitats. This study aims to determine the type of dragonfly in the area of Sylva UNTAN Arboretum Forest City, Forest City Hall of Governors, the football field UNTAN Jogging Track and Field UNTAN as part of a green open space in the city of Pontianak. The second objective was to determine the existence of the diversity of the types of dragonflies in the area of green open space, as well as to determine the species diversity index, the percentage of relative abundance, evenness index and species richness index. The study was conducted in April-May 2016, with the methods time search. Results of the study found 12 species of dragonflies. 8 species belonging to the suborder Anisoptera Libellulidae families and 4 types belong to the suborder Zygoptera which includes family Coenagrionidae and Platycnemididae. Abstract

The Trigona bee is a small black insect with a body length of 3-4 mm and a wingspan of 8 mm. East Kalimantan has found Trigona spp bees, namely T. laeviseps, T. apicalis, T. Drescheri. T. fucibasis, T. fuscobalteata, T. insica, T. itama, T. melina and T. terminate. This study aims to determine the potential of kelulut honey bees (Trigona spp) in the community honey farmer group of Galang Sungai Pinyuh Village, Mempawah Regency, to identify the types of kelulut bees (Trigona spp) in the box (stup) that  made by the honey farmer group of Galang Village. Sungai Pinyu, Mempawah Regency, Analyzing the additional economic income of the Galang Village community, Sungai Pinyuh District, Mempawah Regency. This research was conducted in Galang Sungai Pinyuh Village Mempawah Regency which was conducted for 1 month in the field, by using the survey method, by using the method, which is the activity of finding the existence of a species that is the object of bee research. There are 2 types of Trigona spp bees cultivated in the Galang Kelulut Honey Forest Farmers Group, namely H. itama Cockerel, and H. bakeri, and processing of kelulut honey (Trigona spp) will benefit greatly from the services of kelulut honey (Trigona spp). Harvesting of kelulut honey from honey farmers is 15-30 liters / month. The selling price for consumers is around IDR 400,000 for every 1 liter. From the research above, it is concluded that the potential of kelulut honey bees (Trigona spp) can increase the income of the people of Galang Village, Sungai Pinyuh District, Mempawah Regency. Keywords: Community economy, Potency, Trigona.

Abstract

Tembawang forest is a land use system by local communities in West Kalimantan and has important role for viability of society, both in terms of economic, social, cultural and ecological. People who live around the forest tembawang mostly worked as a farmer with herd of tembawang forest products. The aim this research to knew about actual amount Perongkan village society revenue which sourced from tembawang forest products utilization, the degree of difference between Perongkan village society revenue sourced tembawang forest products with the revenue which comes from not tembawang product and the factors which affect to Perongkan village society revenue sourced tembawang forest products. The method which used in this research were surveyed method descriptive research and associative. Sampling was done by purposive random sampling method with respondents number of 52 households. Data analyzed using descriptive analysis, paired samples T-test analysis and Spearman's rho correlation. These results indicate that income which obtained by society from tembawang forest products an average of Rp 1,958,063 / household / month, based on two different test paired samples showed a significant difference between the average revenue from tembawang forest products of 60, 79% with an average revenue which sourced from outside tembawang of 39.21% and the factors that affect people's revenue by Spearman's rho test showed the labor factor significantly influence people's revenue in the utilization of tembawang forest products, whereas land area factor and utilized type was not significant influence to people's revenue in the utilization of tembawang forest products.
