Abstract

AbstractThe COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact for Indonesia, including the education sector. Teaching and learning activities are using online methods. One of the learning media that can help in the distance learning process is documentary films. The subject matter that can be realized through documentary films is environmental pollution which contains SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, Society) components. This study aims to determine the feasibility level of media and documentary film based on SETS. The form of this research is research and development (R&D) with reference to the ADDIE model which is modified into ADD namely Analysis, Design, and Development. The subject of this research is SETS-based documentary. The data collection instrument used is a media and material feasibility assessment sheet. The results showed the percentage of 94.5% on the feasibility of the media and 97.6% on the feasibility of the material in the very feasible category. In conclusion, this SETSbased documentary is very suitable to be used as a learning medium on environmental pollution material.Keywords: Documentary Film, Environmental Pollution, SETS.

Abstract

AbstractMandarin idioms are fixed phrases used in Mandarin for a long time and the source is abundant. But, there are differences in environment and perspective in Indonesia and China.Therefore, by analyzing idioms containing spring, we learn mandarin while understanding its cultural value. The research takes mandarin idioms containing the Chinese character “春”(read: Chun) as the object of research. The research method used descriptive qualitative. Through the analysis method, the writer can make a conclusion that in terms of its meanings and emotional color, the most emotional color of the Chinese character “春”(read: Chun) mandarin idioms are that it contains praise. From the perspective of cultural values, the Chinese character “春”(read: Chun) mandarin idioms include teaching methods, expressing the customs and conditions of the Spring Festival, enjoying the spring scenery, the love of children for their parents, traditional architectural culture, characteristics between spring and autumn, then etiquette to become a good ruler.Keywords: Chinese Idiom, Cultural Values, Emotional Color , Meaning, Spring

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the perception of civil servant teachers on thepedagogic competence of students majoring in Social Sciences Education whocarried out PPL-2 in 2017 at SMA Santun Untan Pontianak. The researchmethod used is qualitative in the form of descriptive research. The source of thisresearch data is PPL student tutors who teach Economics, Sociology, History,PKN, Geography subjects. The data collection tools used are interviewguidelines and literature/documents. Data collection techniques usinginterviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that, based onthe perceptions of the civil servant teachers, students are able to understandlearning theories and educational learning principles such as being able toexplain learning activities/activities, curriculum development such as makinglesson plans are in accordance with the school curriculum and able to conveymaterial well, the potential development of students has also been able to carryout, communication with students such as asking questions and answeringquestions, assessment and evaluation. While the competencies that have notbeen mastered by PPL students are understanding the character of students,which is caused by a lack of approach to students, and in educational learningactivities students also have not mastered as in managing classes, students arestill unable to create and have not been able to adjust the time in the learningprocess. teaching takes place.Keywords: Perception, Pedagogy, PPL Students

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to see if there was a relationship between Body Mass Index and Macro Nutrient Intake on physical activity in the 2019 Physical Education FKIP UNTAN students. After the data is collected, the data is tabulated, calculated, and then analyzed. which will later be carried out between body mass index, macronutrient intake and physical activity of the 2019 Physical Education FKIP UNTAN students. This research is a correlational quantitative researcp. The sample in this study was the 2019 Physical Education FKIP UNTAN students who collected 20 students. Data analysis using prerequisite test, namely normality test and linearity test, obtained data with normal and linear distribution. So the correlation test uses the product moment formula. From the results of the Body Mass Index and Macro Nutrient Intake scores on physical activity, from these results there is a positive relationship between body mass index and macronutrient intake on physical activity in the 2019 Physical Education FKIP UNTAN students. Thus, it can be interpreted that someone who has a good body mass index and good nutritional intake also increases that person's physical activity.Keywords: BMI, Macro Nutrient Intake, Physical Activity

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to develop the nationalist attitude of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Simpang Hulu in learning Civics. The research method used descriptive method with a qualitative research approach. The results of the study show (1) the role of teachers as educators in developing students' attitudes of nationalism has directly exemplified the values of nationalism, such as helping others selflessly. (2) the role of teacher as a teacher in developing students' attitudes of nationalism has been seen from the learning process, namely the teacher can apply the attitude of nationalism in the material being taught, learn methods and materials that are not yet known, and form competencies to develop an attitude of nationalism. 3) the role of teachers as trainer in developing students' nationalism is a figure who is a role model both in terms of knowledge and personality for their students. Therefore, a teacher must be careful in his words and actions. Abstract

AbstractMotor skills of children in kindergarden are emphasized on the coordination of fine motor movements in this case related to placing or holding an object using the fingers. This study aims to describe the development of fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years through rubbing activities at Sutitah Soedarso Kindergarten 1. The research method used is descriptive method with qualitative research the subject in the study were teachers and children aged 5-6 years. The research location is in Sutitah Sedarso 1 Kindergarten, especially in group B1 class. Data collection techniques used in this study were participant observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that: the development that the teacher did in developing the fine motor skills of children in learning through this blurry swab activity was that the teacher used the demonstration method so that children more easily understood, imitating what the teacher had exemplified. The teacher also provides a motivational approach to children when doing blurry rubbing activities and asks children to focus on learning and see what the teacher will exemplify. The examples of activities given by the teacher are the teacher giving examples of how to trace the pattern correctly, coloring the edges of the pattern neatly and does not go out of line, and wipe the color blur well so that the resulting color is also good. Then on the child's development that the fine motor development of the child is good after being given a blurry swipe activity in learning, the child is able to coordinate eyes and hands and work well.Keywords: Children Aged 5-6 Years, Fine Motor Development, Gray Swab Activity

Abstract

AbstractThis research on archaic vocabulary in Malay Sambas dialect aims to find out the archaic status, lingul unit form of archaic vocabulary and lexical meaning of archaic vocabulary. This study uses a descriptive method in the form of mixing methods. Data collection techniques are documentary studies, interviews, and questionnaires. This research resulted in 32 archaic words for adolescents, 18 archaic words for adults, 11 archaic words for the elderly and 25 archaic words for all age groups, 23 archaic words for male gender and 27 archaic words for gender. woman. The form of the lingual unit is focused on data on the archaic status of all age groups with a total of 72 words, so that the lingual unit form found consists of 41 words of monomorphism in the form of nouns, 18 words of verbs, 4 words of adjectives and 3 words of numerals. The polymorphism in the form of affixation is 2 words, reduplication is 1 word. As for the noun phrase as much as 1 word and 1 word adjective. The lexical meaning was focused on the archaic status data from all ages, so that 72 lexical meanings were obtained.Keywords: Archaic, Language, Malay Sambas, Vocabulary

Abstract

AbstractMicrosoft Teams (MT) is a full-featured chat-based collaboration platform, that integrates chat, video conferencing, file storage and more. In order to understand the impact of using the Microsoft Teams application on learning Mandarin, and the responds of the first-year secondary Immanuel junior high school students using Microsoft Teams on learning Mandarin, the writer used a questionnaire and survey method to obtain research result. The first result is the average rate of students using MT software is 73.4%, which proved that students using MT software can help students learn Chinese. And the average rate of students' response to using MT software to learn Chinese is 69.3%. It proved that the students have received the approval of using the MT software, which means that the students are satisfied with using the MT software to learn Chinese. The second result is the students' responds of using Microsoft Teams software on learning Mandarin are very interesting and satisfying; Student do tasks are more convenient to submit and also student can review the mandarin material easier because it is uploaded to Microsoft Teams.Keywords: Influence, Learning Chinese, Microsoft Teams software

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research was to discover what strategies used by the English teacher and what strategies frequently used by the teacher in teaching reading comprehension Immanuel 2 Sungai Raya, Academic Year 2019/2020 by using questionnaire and depth interview. The subject of this research was an English teacher who has been teaching English since 2002 at the school. Besides being an English teacher, he is also a vice headmaster at the school. The type of this research was case study. The data were collected by using questionnaire and interview. The questionnaire was distributed to the students as the supported participants by google form meanwhile the interview had been done by phone. From the result of questionnaire and interview that was analyzed, it showed that the strategies used by the teacher were 71% scaffolding, 78.8% think aloud and 79.4% QAR strategy. From this result, it is noticeable that the teacher cannot rely on only single teaching strategy. As a conclusion, the teacher frequently used QAR strategy.Keywords: reading comprehension, teaching reading comprehension.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted at SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak. This research is titled "Analysis of Learning Outcomes of Learners Who Use Smartphone Class VIII B SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak". The purpose of this study is to find out the picture of learners' learning outcomes and the picture of the positive and negative impact of smartphone use on learners. The research method used is qualitative with descriptive form of research. The data source in this study is a student of class VIII B SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak who uses interview data and documentation. The results showed that the use of smartphones affects the learning outcomes of learners. Learning outcomes obtained by learners do not increase because participants always rely on smartphones in doing every task given by teachers and lack confidence in their abilities.Smartphones also have a positive impact such as learners easier to find information, increase knowledge, as a medium of entertainment, and facilitate communication. While the negative impact of smartphone use learners become lazy to read, lack confidence with their abilities, interfere with health, interfere with the concentration of learners' learning and affect the attitudes and behavior of learnersKeywords: Learners, Learning Outcomes, Smartphone Use
