Abstract

Abstract“Huran” and “ Turan” have same word meaning that showed an incident which fast and unexpected. Students of Mandarin Language are often false when use these two words, so there are always a mistake when they want to use it. In this research, the author use Test Method to collect the data, to know about level of mastery and level of difficulty to these synonym words “Huran” and “Turan” by the mandarin language programme students batch 2016 in faculty of teacher education and education science tanjungpura university. The result of this research shows that from 28 participants there is 56% students have pretty good mastery on synonym “Huran” and there is 55% students have pretty good mastery on synonym “Turan”. The result of this paper show that in studying both of that lexicon, students have been mastered the usage of word very well, but, there is still students that do not mastering well. The usage of synonym “Huran” with primely level lies on the usage for verb or  adverb, while the mastered synonym “Turan” with primely level lies on the usage as predicate. When analyze the difficulties, the writer find that students have trouble in mastering the usage of synonym “Huran” is “Huran” may be repleced before subject. And, there is 2 difficulties  in mastering “Turan” word, include the use of “Turan”may be use as complement and “Turan” is placed before “ no + noun”. The cause of many students find mistake is insufficient mastery of knowledge and rules for using these two words. Based on study above can be conclude the mandarin language programme students batch 2016 in faculty of teacher education and education science tanjungpura university. mastery in synoym “Huran” and “Turan” is passably. KeyWord : synonym, huran, turan

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning model type talking stick on the results of social science learning class III students of 34 Public Elementary Schools in Pontianak City. The form of research used was quasi experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study was class III A (control class) and class III C (experimental class) consisting of 60 people. Data collection techniques used are measurement techniques with data collection tools used in the form of a test of student learning outcomes in the form of multiple choices totaling 50 questions. Based on the results of data analysis, the average learning outcomes of control class students were 70.20 while the average learning outcomes of experimental class students was 75.30. The results of testing hypotheses (t-test) using t-test obtained by t count of 3.003 and t table (? = 5% and dk = 58) of 2.00172, indicating that t count (3.003)> t table (2.00172). then Ha is accepted. This means that there is an effect of learning outcomes between students who are taught with cooperative learning models Type talking stick with students taught without cooperative learning model talking stick type. Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by low motivation and student learning outcomes in chemistry learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the differences in motivation, learning outcomes in grade X SMA Santun Untan Pontianak students as well as determining the influence of learning using media songs to motivation and learning outcomes in compound nomenclature material. Sampling technique is done by saturated sampling, class X A as control class and class X B as experiment class. The research used quasi experimental design with experimental design design in this research is nonequivalent control group design. Data collection techniques used are measurement techniques, and communication. Data collection tool used test result of learning in the form of pretest and postest matter of nomenclature of compound and nontes in the form of motivation questionnaire. Based on the results of the motivation questionnaire analysis using two-tailed Two-Tail Test (? = 5%) obtained Sig (P-value) of 0.503 and analysis of learning outcomes of the gain value data using the Paired T-test ( Paired-Samplest Test) (? = 5%) obtained Sig (P-value) of 0.386. This shows that there is no difference in motivation and learning outcomes of students who are given learning using the media with the songs students are given the conventional learning. Calculation effect size (ES) motivation obtained results of -0.33 and learning results obtained ES value of -0.39 which means no effect on motivation and learning outcomes of students of grade X SMA Santun Untan Pontianak. Keywords: Media Song, Motivation, Learning Result, Compound nomenclature.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to improve students? reading comprehension of narrative text usingpicture book, especially to improve students? ability in identifying details of story elements, and recognizing words meaning. The writer applied classroom action researchwith three cycles of meetings. The subject was the eighth grade students, in MTs Ika PGAPontianak, academic year 2016/2017. There were 20 students participated in the wholeprocesses. The data from observation checklist and field notes revealed that using picturebook improved students' reading comprehension of narrative text. Picture booksimproved students in recognizing words meaning through pre teaching the words fromthe story prior reading, and the use of picture-text relationship in contextual cluesactivity. Picture books also improved students in identifying story elements through theuse of picture sequences discussion in picture walk activity and story mapping activity.Discussing picture books also promoted students? interest in reading. The scores showedstudents? improvement in recognizing words meaning and story elements. From theresearch, the writer concluded that the use of picture book improved students? ability torecognize words meaning, identify details of story elements and improved students?interest in reading comprehension of narrative text through shared reading with picturewalk, contextual clues, and story mapping.Keywords: Picture books, Narrative text, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to improve student learning outcomes by applying the science-physics inquiry learning model on the subject of motion. The form of this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in 2 cycles with stages of planning, action, observation and reflection. Subjects in this study were students of class VII H Pontianak 23 Public Middle School consisting of 30 students. Data collection through tests, observation sheets and documentation. The results showed the average post-test value of cycle I was 76 and cycle II was 87. The completeness of learning outcomes in cycle I was 50% while in cycle II was 86.7% meaning that there was an increase in learning outcomes by 36.7% of the cycle I to cycle II. As for the results of observations made, obtained data is that after the inquiry learning model is applied the learning process becomes more active. The results of this study indicate that the application of inquiry learning models on the subject of motion can improve student learning outcomes. This research is expected to be used as an alternative teacher to improve science-physics learning outcomes in the subject of motion. Keywords: learning outcomes, application of inquiry learning models, research subjects discussion of motion

Abstract

Learning difficulties are the existence of a distance between expected academic achievement and academic achievement, which is caused by a disturbance in a psychological process or more, so that it is said to have learning difficulties if the specified time limit does not reach a measure of understanding of learning material. Tutoring program is a program that provides services to students to develop their personality and self-adjustment to their duties as a lesson, in which planning needs to be determined who will provide services and what is needed for the implementation of the tutoring program itself. The method used is descriptive method. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were 326 and the sample was 82 students of SMAN 5 Pontianak. Data collection techniques used are indirect communication techniques and data collection tools with questionnaires. While the data analysis technique uses a percentage formula. Based on learning difficulties found, a tutoring program was developed to overcome student learning difficulties. Keyword: Learning Difficulties, Consultation Programme

Abstract

AbsractThis study was aimed to determine the effectiveness of applying the creative problem solving learning models with the use of conventional learning models. The form used in this research was quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The tool of data collection in this study was a multiple choice learning result and observation sheet. The results of hypothesis testing using one sample test t test with ? = 5% was obtained Zhitung = 7.454 (Zhitung> Z table), which in the rejection area Ho. This showed that there were significant differences between student learning outcomes which taught by using creative problem solving learning models with those which taught by using conventional models. There was an increase of the mean score after giving the treatment of applying creative problem solving learning models in the experimental class, which the mean score of pre test was 50.16 and the mean score of post test was 87.58. There was also an increase of experimental class in the percentage of completeness which the score of pre test completeness percentage was 09.68% and the score of post-test completeness percentage was 100%. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of creative problem solving learning models in maritime and agricultural economic strengthening subject in Indonesia at the eighth grade of SMP Negeri 02 Sungai Raya showed a very effective criteria for improving student learning outcomes, with a difference percentage was 90.32% and the effect size was 0.98. Keywords: Effectiveness, Creative Problem Solving Models

Abstract

AbstractThe result of the research showed that students could comprehend narrative text with good comprehension. The problem of the research  was  students got difficulty to find out the meaning of the words, got less information during learning process because they were not active in reading the narrative text and its generic structure. Reading narrative text helped the students in finding the information about the story. The teacher explained the generic structure of narrative text to studying. The student sharing the information in the second group helped them in comprehending a narrative text. This research found out that there was an improvement of students reading comprehension in narrative text  for each cycle by Implementing One Stray Technique in teaching reading comprehension and students’ score improvements was better.Keywords: Reading Comprehension, Narrative Text, One Stray Strategy.

Abstract

                       AbstractIn learning to write poetry in class V Public Elementary School 66 Pontianakthere are still many students who have not been able to write poetry well. This needs to be overcome by updating learning, either through the use of media or learning models. One that has been tested and proven to support students' skills in writing poetry is to apply an outdoor learning model. Based on the analysis of the situation, the problem in this study is "How is the influence of the application of outdoor learning models on poetry writing skills of fifth grade students of Public Elementary School 66 Pontianak?".This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of outdoor learning models on poetry writing skills.The method used is the experimental method, while the form of research used pre-experimental design with the design of the group-pretest-posttest design. The population and sample in this study were all fifth grade students of Public Elementary School 66 Pontianakin the academic year 2017/2018 totaling 36 students. Data collection techniques used in this study are direct observation techniques and measurement techniques. Based on the results of data analysis of the mean value of pre-test 72.19 and post-test mean 77.53. The result of the t test is obtained by t table = 5%, with db = 35 is 2.03. Because t count (4.68)> t table (2.03), then the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. So that it can be concluded that there is an effect of applying the outdoor learning model to the poetry writing skills of fifth grade students of Public Elementary School 66 Pontianak. Keywords: Influence, Outdoor Learning Models, Poetry Writing Skills

Abstract

AbstractPronoun is an important part in Mandarin grammar. ?Ren Jia? and ?Bie Ren? are include as pronoun of person. Can be seen from the word the meaning of the words and the usage , there are similarities and differences. Therefore, students who learn Mandarin in process learning of these two words often make mistakes in understanding which is can create a misuse the words. To find out how the mastery codition of student from Mandarin education study program of FKIP UNTAN toward the pronoun words which are ?Ren Jia? and ?Bie Ren? , the writer use research test method to know the mastery condition of students and analyze student difficulties toward those two words. The result shows that the mastery condition of students toward ?Bie Ren? is better than ?Ren Jia?. ?Bie Ren? the percentage is 68% and ?Ren Jia? only 59%. In the analysis of the type of difficulty, the writer found the students mastery is in ?Ren Jia? used for the first person pronouns and in ?Bie Ren? for use with ?Zi Ji?. Keywords: ?Ren Jia?    ?Bie Ren?   Understanding Condition
