Abstract

The incidence of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhoea) in MAN 2 Jember was 61.6%. This study aims to determine the difference in the effectiveness of William's flexion exercise with warm compresses on primary dysmenorrhoea pain. The research design used a Quasi-Experiment with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of 37 female students and the sample taken was a sample that met the inclusion criteria contained in chapter three as many as 34 students, the sample was divided into 2 treatment groups, namely 17 students were treated with William's Flexion exercise and 17 students were treated with warm compresses. This research uses simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used the Standard Operational Procedure and Numeric Rating Scale, with the Wilcoxon match pairs test and the Mann Whitney U test. Wilcoxon test results p-value 0.000, and an error level of 5% (2-sided test), which means that there is a difference in the level of dysmenorrhoea pain before and after being given warm compresses and William's flexion exercise and the results of the Mann Whitney U test obtained Z value = -1.285 with an error rate of 5%, then -1.96 <-1.285 <+1.96, meaning that there is no difference in the effectiveness of William's Flexion Exersice with warm compresses on primary dysmenorrhoea. The two methods are equally effective in reducing primary dysmenorrhoea pain, although there are slight differences. Where a warm compress is better at reducing the pain intensity of primary dysmenorrhoea. Keywords: Warm Compress, William's Flexion Exercise, Primary Dysmenorrhoea

Abstract

The first 1000 days of life are critical times in the child's growth and development stage. Nutrition and stimulation received by infants have a long-term impact on life during adulthood. Baby spa is a form of stimulation that combines baby massage and swimming which has many benefits for babies. The purpose of this study was to determine changes in body weight of infants aged 6-12 months before and after getting a baby spa. The design of the study was comparative analytic, with a prospective approach. The study population of 35 infants using accidental sampling technique obtained a sample of 32 infants aged 6-12 months who met the inclusion criteria. The research instrument used baby weight scales. Data analysis using paired t test. The results showed that there was a change in body weight of infants aged 6-12 months before and after receiving a baby spa with an average body weight before baby spa 8092.19 grams to 8673.44 grams after 2 treatments (p value <0.001). Baby spas can increase vagus nerve tone (10th brain nerve) which causes an increase in the levels of the enzyme absorption of gastrin and insulin, so that food absorption will be better and can increase the baby's weight. A baby spa with regular frequency is needed to maximize the growth and development of the baby. Keywords: Baby Weight, Baby Spa

Abstract

The decline in immunization coverage in Indonesia is followed by high mortality and morbidity for toddlers, one of which is caused by Acute Respiratory Infections. The government conducted an immunization program aimed at primary prevention of diseases that cause ARI with pentabio immunization. This research aims to determine the correlation between the completeness and accuracy of pentabio basic immunization with the incidence of acute respiratory infections (ARI) in toddlers in Dinoyo Public Health Center in Malang. The design of this research was correlation analytic using documentation studies on medical records, immunization registers and infant cohorts through a retrospective approach. The sample used was all sick toddlers who checked themselves in Dinoyo Community Health Center Malang City in July-September 2019 who met the inclusion criteria of 164 respondents using total sampling technique. The results of the analysis using the Chi Square Test obtained p-value of 0,000 (? ? 0.05) followed by a Contingency Coefficient Test with a value of C = 0.426 indicating that there was a significant relationship between the completeness and accuracy of pentabio basic immunization with the incidence of acute respiratory infections at toddler at Dinoyo Public Health Center in Malang City with a moderate level of closeness. Pentabio basic immunization given precisely and completely can prevent ARI in toddlers. Health facilities and midwives are expected to increase public awareness about the importance of completeness and accuracy in providing basic immunization for pentabio according to the basic immunization delivery schedule. Abstract

The high problem of adolescent reproductive health is caused by the lack of basic information about reproductive health in adolescents, so adolescents tend to engage in risky behavior. The study was conducted to analyze the effect of peer education on the level of knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about reproductive health. The design of this study was a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest group design. Data collection using interview and observation methods. The study population was all groups of adolescents in Malang City and Regency, with a sample of adolescents who were in Malang City (Kedung Kandang Health Center Area) and Malang District (Jabung Health Center Area). The sample size was 85 teenagers selected by simple random sampling. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data were processed descriptively and analyzed using a statistical t-test. The results showed that there were significant differences in pre-test and post-test in the level of adolescent knowledge (p value <0.001) and adolescent attitudes (p value <0.001). Most adolescents in the intervention group (providing counseling by peer educators) did not support free sex and early marriage (97.3%). Health education by peer educators can remind adolescents' knowledge and attitudes about reproductive health, so that it can be developed for promotive efforts for adolescents. Abstract

Complications of pregnancy and childbirth are a contributing factor in maternal mortality due to being at “4 extreme conditions” (too young, too old, too close to birth spacing, and too much). This research aimed to to show the description of pregnancy and childbirth complications at “4 extreme conditions” in Puskesmas Jabung, Malang Regency. This research used a descriptive design with a retrospective approach. The research population was all pregnant and childbirth women with 4 extreme conditions who experienced complications of pregnancy and childbirth and were recorded in the mother cohort and labor report books from January 1 to September 30 2019 with total sampling technique, obtained a sample of 52 respondents. The research instrument used data collection tables to identify complications of pregnancy and childbirth that occurred in each respondent. Data analysis used univariate analysis by processing data into percentages. The results showed that the most pregnancy complications were anemia (59%), pre-eclampsia / eclampsia (31%), and multiple complications in pregnancy are anemia and pre-eclampsia / eclampsia (10%), while the most labor complications were preterm birth ( 42%), postpartum hemorrhage (25%), prolonged labor (19%), premature rupture of membranes (8%), and multiple complications are premature rupture of membranes and preterm birth and prolonged labor and postpartum hemorrhage, respectively 3%. Anemia and preterm birth are the highest incidence of pregnancy and childbirth complicatios at 4 extreme condition. Based on the results of this studies should be material information or insight for the community, especially women and families to consider planning the right time to get pregnant. Abstract

Mother's concern before pregnancy to check her nutritional status is still very lacking, this will result in the undetectability of nutritional problems experienced by mothers, such as anemia and chronic energy deficiency. The study aimed to determine the attitudes of pregnant women about antenatal care using the Maternal Cycle Simulation media. The design of this study was pre-experimental with One Group Pre-Test-Post Test design. The sample used was pregnant women aged 22-28 weeks who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria of 27 people with simple random sampling technique. Health education was carried out in three meetings, including pretest and provision of media Maternal Cycle Simulation, explanation of media use, demonstration of media use, re-demonstration by pregnant women using media, re-examination and monitoring using media, and posttest. The results showed 74% of mothers had a negative attitude in antenatal care at the time of the pretest and there was a decrease in the negative attitude rate to 15% after receiving the Maternal Cycle Simulation media with a p value <0.001, which means there was an influence of the use of the Maternal Cycle Simulation media towards the attitude of pregnant women about antenatal care care.
