Abstract

Character education is not only providing knowledge to children about what is right and wrong. More importantly, character education is the cultivation of habits (habits) that are following the expectations of the environment around students so that they can act properly. This study aims to describe the character values contained in the animation Riko The Series and describe the realization of the character values contained in the animation. This study uses qualitative research methods and uses content analysis it. The research data used is Riko The Series animation, ten-line production. The animation is carefully observed to analyze the value of the contained characters later. The benchmark used in the data reduction process is based on the character value of the Ministry of Education. There are 18 character values set by the Ministry of Education and Culture, namely religion, honesty, tolerance, discipline, perseverance, innovation, independence, democracy, curiosity, national spirit, love for the homeland, respect for achievement, and friendship/communication, love of peace, love to read, love the environment, social care and a sense of responsibility. The results of this study are Riko The Series animation can be used as an example for elementary school-age children, especially the importance of curiosity, faith/religion, and honesty under the guidance of teachers and parents likes to read, loves the environment around, and cares for others and a sense of responsibility.

Abstract

The Corona Virus pandemic in 2019 is commonly known as Covid-19. Indonesia is one of the countries affected by Covid-19. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, researchers encountered obstacles when completing research because they could not go directly to the field. Games are one of the activities that are useful for integrating newly acquired words into word placements by students. Cross Puzzle is a game in which we need to fill in the empty space (in the form of a white box) with letters that form a word based on the directions given horizontally and downwards". The qualitative approach is the approach used by researchers in working on this research. For data needs, researchers perform data processing using data sourced from previous journals and theses. The library research method is the method used by researchers in this study. The research technique used by researchers is literature review. This study aims to determine the process of using crossword puzzles in Indonesian language learning. Based on the literature analysis conducted by the researcher, the first result shows that crossword puzzles have a positive effect on the improvement of students' vocabulary mastery skills in learning Indonesian. The second result, shows that through understanding the vocabulary students get better at reading and students no longer have difficulty reading vocabulary. Based on research data, the word game technique is feasible to implement. This situation shows an increase in student creativity and productivity in language skills including listening, speaking, and writing.

Abstract

The ability to solve mathematical problems is mandatory for students to learn, because it is very useful for everyday life. The purpose of this study was to determine the obstacles of second grade students of SDN Cibeber I to experience difficulties in solving mathematical problem solving of multiplication material. This research approach uses qualitative and is carried out with a case study method. The subjects of this study were 4 second grade students of SDN Cibeber I. After being analyzed, it was found that students experienced problems solving mathematical problem solving with multiplication material. They are difficulty to understand the questions given correctly, to plan strategies in order to solve problems, to calculate solving problems properly and correctly, and to make conclusions from the results obtained. The solution to solving students' problems in solving mathematical problem-solving problems in multiplication arithmetic operations is that students often practice problems solving problems such as story problems, memorizing multiplication, and not rushing to work on problems because to solve them. Problem solving skills involve ability to remember, understand, apply, analyze, and evaluate. When students can understand the problem or are able to identify what is known and asked from the questions given, the students can identify several strategies or plans that can be used to solve the problem. Thus, students who are able to identify several strategies or plans that can be used to solve these problems, the students can use the appropriate formula. Then, students can use the appropriate formula, then students can calculate problem solving and draw conclusions from the results obtained.

Abstract

Understanding the content of reading text in elementary school can be helped by determining the element of paragraph. This study aims to determine of fourth grades at SDN Semanan 04 Pagi in determining the paragraph elements in the reading text. This study uses a qualitative approach using a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects in this study were 21 students in grade IV. The research instrument used was in the form of tests and interviews conducted on students. This study obtained analysis results which stated that students' ability to determine paragraph elements in reading texts was quite good because on average students were able to find 3-4 paragraph elements correctly. The students’ ability in finding main sentences, explanatory sentences, and affirmative sentences on tests 1, 2, and 3 showed a fairly good ability, while students’ abilities in determining transitions on tests 1, 2, and 3 showed poor abilities. The factors that cause students’ difficulties in determining the elements of paragraphs are lack of understanding of the material, lazy to study, lack of interest and motivation in student learning, no self-motivation to learn, and lack of practice in understanding the meaning of reading texts

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar IPS, materi tentang dampak interaksi antar ruang bagi siswa kelas VII F SMP Negeri 3 Lawang Kabupaten Malang melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing dan Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, tes, kuesioner, dan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil belajar siswa pada akhir siklus II cenderung meningkat, jika dibanding pada pra-tindakan. Ketuntasan klasikal pada siklus II mencapai 93,75%, hal ini menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 40,65% dari pratindakan yang hanya mencapai 53,1%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing dan Problem Based Learning meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar IPS bagi siswa kelas VII F SMP Negeri 3 Lawang Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Pasirnangka Kabupaten Tangerang dengan responden siswa sekolah dasar dan orang tuanya sebanyak 10 siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kendala-kendala pembelajaran dalam jaringan (daring) pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian metode kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring pada masa pandemi COVID-19 terdapat beberapa kendala siswa kurang dapat memahami materi karena tidak ada penjelasan dari guru, siswa merasa jenuh dan bosan selama melaksanakan pembelajaran daring, orang tua yang sibuk bekerja sehingga mudah emosi dalam mendampingi anak belajar daring. Anak usia sekolah dasar dirasa kurang efektif untuk melakukan pemblajaran daring. Selain itu, ketersediannya handphone, kuota dan jaringan internet yang stabil sebagai faktor penghambat pembelajaran daring. Kata Kunci : Problematika Pembelajaran Daring, Siswa SD, Orang Tua.

Abstract

The independence of a nation is beneficial from all the struggles of the former who have been willing to give up their souls and bodies. One of the figures of Prince Diponegoro who dared to fight in seizing indigenous rights from the Dutch. The figure of heroism needs to be exemplified to the next generation of the nation, especially 4 elementary school students who learn heroism in theme 5 sub-theme 3. To introduce this heroic attitude, teachers must add teaching materials that are packaged in an interesting way, such as using a storybook with a picture of Pangeran Diponegoro Singa Mataram by Nunik Utami. The reason for this ponder is to discover the figure of Prince Diponegoro who was appointed in the picture book of Pangeran Diponegoro Singa Mataram, to find out what kind of heroic attitude is depicted in the picture book of Pangeran Diponegoro Singa Mataram. The researcher conducted this research using the content analysis method and qualitative approach. Data collection procedures or techniques are carried out by direct analysis to find heroic attitudes contained in fragments of sentences in the picture storybook of Pangeran Diponegoro Singa Mataram. The comes about of the analysis appear that Prince Diponegoro is described as a prince who is persistent, humble, brave, responsible, and loves his homeland. The heroic attitudes found in the illustrated storybook of  Pangeran Diponegoro Singa Mataram, include being brave, being responsible, loving the homeland, and being willing to sacrifice. The results of the analysis are utilized as social studies teaching materials given to class IV SD regarding heroism.

Abstract

The aims of this research were (1) to describe the implementation of science learning of reproductive system competence through the NHT type cooperative model assisted by interactive multimedia and (2) to improve science learning outcomes of human reproductive system competence of class IX-2 students of SMP Negeri 6 Halmahera Utara in the first semester of the 2019/2020 academic year through a NHT type cooperative model assisted by interactive multimedia. This research was action research which consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were students of class 9th graders of SMP Negeri 6 Halmahera Utara, North Maluku Province, which were 32 students. Sources of data in this study in the form of observations of the implementation of learning to measure the quality of the process, and written tests to measure student learning outcomes on reproductive system competence. The data analysis technique used was descriptive based on qualitative analysis with percentages or descriptively qualitatively. Analysis of learning outcomes test data on the competence of the human reproductive system showed that completeness in the pre-cycle 37.5% or 12 students succeeded in obtaining 67 score. In the first cycle, 62.5% students completed or as many as 20 students, while in the second cycle, 27 students completed. students (84.4%) managed to get a score of 67. Based on the results of the discussion in this study, it can be concluded that the NHT type cooperative learning model assisted by interactive multimedia is effective for improving science learning outcomes of the human reproductive system in 9th graders of SMP Negeri 6 Halmahera Utara.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian tindakan sekolah ini adalah: a) mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterlaksanaan supervisi manajeral dengan metode monitoring di 6 SD Binaan Distrik Inanwatan; b) mendeskripsikan peningkatan kinerja 6 kepala sekolah SD Binaan Distrik Inanwatan dalam melaksanakan supervisi akademik melalui supervisi manajerial dengan metode monitoring. Subjek ditentukan dengan cara purposive. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus dalam satu siklus dilaksanakan 2 kali pertemuan. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu: perencanaan (planning), pelaksanaan (action), pengamatan (observation), dan refleksi (reflection). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, angket, dokumentasi, dan observasi untuk mengetahui kinerja kepala sekolah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian kinerja kepala sekolah dalam melaksanakan supervisi akademik terhadap guru, pada prasiklus, masih rendah yaitu 35,24%, setelah dilakukan tindakan pada siklus I terjadi peningkatan menjadi 64,76%, namun belum memenuhi kriteria 80% yang diharapkan, setelah dilakukan upaya perbaikan supervisi manajerial metode monitoring dan evaluasi pada siklus II, maka terjadi peningkatan menjadi 87,62% dengan kategori baik. Pada siklus II seluruh responden (kepala sekolah) telah memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan yaitu 80%. Keywords: Principal Performance, Academic Supervision, Managerial Supervision, Monitoring

Abstract

The implementation of online learning in reality has many obstacles for parents when accompanying children to study at home. The purpose of this study is (1) to find out the obstacles faced by parents when their children learn from home, (2) to find out the efforts taken by parents to deal with the obstacles they face while their children are learning from home. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The methodology used in this research is descriptive quantitative by distributing questionnaires to respondents, namely the children's parents. The results of the study stated that (1) understanding of the subject matter by parents as many as 38 parents (76%) understanding of the subject matter by parents had not been able to understand the subject matter that had been given by the teacher. (2) When parents accompany their children to study at home, 39 parents (78%) cannot accompany their children to study at home. (3) Parents' obstacles in using this gadget can be seen from 29 parents (58%) who are unable to operate the gadget properly. By knowing these challenges, it is hoped that in the future parents can anticipate the learning process well during the pandemic.
