Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of coastal sediment on peat soil for soybean planting medium to soil chemical properties and CO2 emissions. The research lasted for 3 months starting from preparation to presentation of the results. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Soil Quality and Health, Laboratory of Chemistry and Soil Fertility and in the Faculty of Agriculture experimental garden Tanjungpura University. The method used is experiment with a completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 5 treatments and 4 replications. Each polybag contained 1 plant sample. So the number of plants altogether 20 units of the plant. Treatment as follows: LL0 : Without treatment coastal sediment, LL1 : coastal sediment 25.2 tonnes/ha equivalent to 180 g/polybag, LL2 : coastal sediment 33.6 tonnes/ha equivalent to 240 g/polybag, LL3 : coastal sediment 42 ton / ha equivalent to 300 grams/polybag, LL4 : coastal sediment 50.4 tonnes/ha equivalent to 360 g/polybag. The variables observed in this study are soil pH, cation exchange capacity (CEC), Base Saturation, C/N, CO2 emissions and the dry weight of soybean. The results showed that application   of coastal sediment with various doses on peat soil can increase soil pH, Base Saturation and C/N ratio, with decreasing CEC. There is just a little correlation of costal sediment on CO2 emissions of soil (R2=0.0009). Coastal sediment 33.6 tonnes/ha equivalent to 240 grams/polybag was resulted dry weight of soybean   to maximum vegetative phase.

Abstract

This research aims to look for the best morphophysiology response   of soybean varieties in the tidal land type C. Research activities conducted in Kalimas Village Subdistrict Sungai Kakap, Kuburaya District from November 12th 2017 to February   10th 2018. Methode used is Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 6 factors, there were A: Burangrang varieties, B: Anjasmoro varieties, C: Argomulyo varieties, D: Dena 1 varieties, E: Gema varieties and F: Dering 1 varieties. Each factor replicated four times, so there were 24 experimental units. Variables measured were plant height, root volume, number of effective root nodules, dry weight of plants, number of chlorophyll, flowering age, harvest age, number of productive branches, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, dry weight of 100 seed, dry weight of seed per plot. The result showed that morphophysiology response   of some soybean varieties in the tidal land type C indicates a difference on number of effective root nodules, number of chlorophyll, flowering age , harvest age, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, dry weight of 100 seed and dry weight of seed per plot.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of bagasse compost on growth and yield of beans on alluvial soil. This study uses a randomized block designconsisting of 5 treatment, and repeated 5 times, each replication consisted of 5 samples. Those treatments include, k0 without bagasse compost, k1 = 10 tonnes/ha, equivalent to 4.2 kg/plot, k2 = 20 tonnes/ha, equivalent to 8.4 kg/plot, k3 30 tons/ha, equivalent to 12.6 kg/plot, k4 = 40 tonnes/ha, equivalent to 16.8 kg/plot. Variables observed include green level of leaf (SPAD unit), leaf area (cm2), dry weight of the upper part of the plant (g), root volume (cm3), root dry weight (cm3), The number of pods per plant (fruit), length of pods ( cm) and weight of pods per plant (g). Results showed significant effect on the variable observation pod length and pod weight plant however   not real effect on the variable observation root volume, root dryweight, leaf area, leaf chlorophyll, and plant dry weightand number of pods.

Abstract

Land evaluation is an approach for assessing the potential of land resources. Results of the evaluation will give information about land anduse necessary direction, and finally the value of production expectations that can be obtained. This study aims to identify the limiting factors for pepper plants in the Galing village, Galing sub-district, Sambas district. To create a class of actual and potential land suitability. This research was conducted in the village of   the District   Galing Galing Sambas   district,   then   followed   by analysis   of soil samples in the Laboratory of Chemistry and Soil Fertility Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Tanjungpura. The research started from December 2014 until Fabruari 2015. The results showed that there are two units of Soil Map is Sulfic Endoaquents and Typic Sulfaquents.   Actual   land   suitability   on   soil   type   Sulfic   Endoaquents   (SPT   1)   is   the appropriate marginal (S2) with inhibitors to Factor pepper plant is a low pH, nutrient availability, and the depth of the actual land sulfidik. Suitability for pepper plants are S3 nfx. While the actual land suitability on the type of Typic Sulfaquents (SPT 2) inhibiting factor is the low pH, nutrient availability, and the depth of the actual land sulfidik. Suitability for pepper plants are N-x. Recommendations for improvements in SPT 1 and SPT 2 is water regulation, liming and fertilizing N, P, and K with the processing level is medium to high, then the suitability of potential land for pepper plants in SPT 1 to be fit while on SPT 2 appropriate to marginal

Abstract

This study aims to determine the magnitude of profits from the business of household-scale coconut sugar in Segedong District Mempawah District. Population in this research is coconut sugar business household scale and selected purposive (intentionally). Data analyst techniques used are total cost, revenue and profit. The results of this study indicate that based on the results of the analysis of the calculation of costs used in the business of coconut sugar household scale. The level of profit of coconut sugar business is Rp. Rp.73.585/day and Rp.1.600/Kg. The analysis shows that this household-scale coconut sugar business is profitable
