Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripsi keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa pendidikan biologi melalui pembelajaran berbasis praktikum pada mata kuliah taksonomi tumbuhan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa reguler A program studi  pendidikan biologi semester IV tahun akademik 2012/2013 FKIP Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak yang terdiri dari 33 orang. Data mengenai keterampilan proses mahasiswa diperoleh dari tes tertulis. Untuk mengetahui deskripsi keterampilan proses mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran berbasis praktikum digunakan analisis deskriptif dengan teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata persentase keterampilan  proses pada setiap indikator berada dalam kategori sedang yaitu sebesar 46.75%. Indikator keterampilan proses sains yang berada pada kategori tinggi yakni memprediksi sebesar 69.69%, sedangkan yang berada pada kategori sangat rendah yakni hipotesis sebesar 12.12%. Secara berurutan persentase indikator keterampilan proses dari hasil penelitian, yaitu memprediksi (69.69%), mengamati (66.66%), merencanakan percobaan (57.57%), keterampilan menyimpulkan (54.54%), mengajukan pertanyaan (39.39%), interpretasi data (27.27%) dan hipotesis(12.12%).   Kata kunci       : Keterampilan proses sains, , pembelajaran berbasis praktikum

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using computer simulation media on learning outcomes of Physics in IKIP PGRI Pontianak ICT Education students. The population of this study is the 1st semester ICT Education students consisting of 2 classes totaling 79 students. Determination of the sample using Cluster Random Sampling technique, the sample used in this study is 1 class, namely class A Morning. The research method used is the experimental method. Learning outcomes data were taken using cognitive test instruments using multiple choice tests. The results showed that the average student learning outcomes before applied learning using simulation media amounted to 49.32 with a standard deviation of 14.45 and the average student learning outcomes after applied learning using simulation media amounted to 81.28 with a standard deviation of 14.63 . From the results of the analysis using the Wilcoxon Match Pairs test, Zhitung is 1,009 which is smaller than Zttable which is equal to 1,645. Then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there are differences in student learning outcomes before and after being given learning using simulation media on the material of motion kinematics. Thus, the use of computer simulation media on the material of motion kinematics can improve student learning outcomes.Keywords: Computer simulation media, motion  kinematics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas mahasiswa pada perkuliahan fisika lingkungan sub bahasan pencemaran. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah action research. Mahasiswa program studi pendidikan Fisika Kerjasama Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Ketapang Jurusan P.MIPA FKIP Untan angkatan 2006 yang berjumlah 18 orang berpastisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Teknik pengumpul data berupa pengamatan lapangan, dokumentasi sedangkan alat pengumpul data adalah lembar pengamatan aktivitas mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan diperoleh peningkatan aktivitas mahasiswa sebesar 7,4% pada siklus kedua dari siklus pertama pada perkuliahan fisika lingkungan sub bahasan pencemaran tanah, air dan udara. Abstract

This research motivated presence of symptoms that can be seen in the field that the biological activity and learning outcomes have not achieved the expected result of 78. The cause of the low biological activity and learning outcomes is presumably because the teacher actively describes the material, give examples, and exercises while students just listen, take notes, and do the exercises. Learning as it failed to give students the chance to discover, establish and develop his own knowledge. This type of research is done in an attempt repair of the problems mentioned above is a Classroom Action Research. Data of this research is taken using an instrument tests, observation sheet and evaluation test results are processed in a qualitative study. The results showed that by using cooperative learning type Number Heads Together can increase the activity of learning and learning outcomes of students of class XI IPA1 SMA 4 Pontianak. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop valid, practical, and effective guided inquiry teaching set to improve the students’ achievement on the course of Analytical Chemistry in Muhammadiyah University. The researcher applied Thiagarajan 3-D model; define, design, and develop. The sample of this research was obtained by purposive sampling resulted in 7 students as the try out sample and 16 students as the main test sample. The data was collected by measurement, and indirect observation. The instruments of this research were pre-test and post-test questions, observation sheets, and questionnaire sheets. The findings of this research showed that the validity of the teaching set was given the score 1,00 by expert; the practicality of the teaching set from the students’ responses was given the score 75,60 and 82,46; the students’ achievement after utilizing the guided inquiry based teaching set showed that 81,25% fulfill the criteria of completeness. For that reason, the guided inquiry based teaching set developed in this research is suitable to be used in the teaching and learning process. Keywords: Guided inquiry, chromatography, the development of a teaching set

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kemampuan calon guru biologi membuat perangkat penilaian berbasis kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan subyek penelitian calon guru biologi yaitu mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah micro teaching (PPL-1) semester genap tahun ajaran 2016/2017 pada program studi Pendidikan Biologi berjumlah 30 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan membuat perangkat penilaian berbasis kurikulum 2013. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif  dengan tahapan: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, analisis data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa calon guru biologi mampu membuat perangkat penilaian berbasis Kurikulum 2013 secara keseluruhan diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 71,08%. Secara rinci kemampuan membuat penilaian sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan berturut-turut adalah 81,67%, 70,42%, dan 69,17%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan calon guru Biologi membuat perangkat penilaian berbasis Kurikulum 2013 tergolong baik. Kata kunci: kemampuan, membuat perangkat penilaian

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the effect of cooperative learning model, Teams Game Tournament (TGT) type, toward students achievement on hydrocarbon material, class X SMA Negeri 4 Singkawang. A quasi experimental method using pre-posttest control group design was implemented in this research. Data collecting tool used is essay test which has realibility of 0,59. Intact group random sampling technique was taken to get XA and XB classes as samples. Based on their daily chemistry examination, class XA was picked up as control class and XB was experiment class. U Mann Whitney test on students pretest showed no significantly difference between control and experiment class (Zhitung = -1,15, Ztabel = 1,96, ?=5%). Meanwhile, U Mann Whitney test on students posttest indicated significant difference between experiment and control class (Zhitung = -2,54, Ztabel = 1,96, ?=5%). The calculation of effect size resulted on posttest was 0,64 (23,89%). It showed that cooperative learning model TGT type gives intermediate level of effect size toward students achievement.Keywords: students achivements, cooperatif learning, Teams Game Tournament model, Hydrocarbons

Abstract

Pasak bumi (Eurycoma longifolia Jack.) is a species belonging Simarobuaceae has been long used as traditional medicine, which known very well as aphrosidiac. The studies have been conducted to reveal the benefits of E. longifolia through ethnobotany, phytochemical, and bioessay approaches, but the review articles on the its utilization and bioactivity limited. This article is based on scientific articles published on line or off-line, then synthesized so that to be information the relationship between use and bioactivity. Ethnobotany of E. longifolia have been used as a medicine for fever, malaria, improve stamina, antimalarial, antidiabetic, anticancer, aphrodisiac, overcoming erectile dysfunction. Bioactivity of E. longifolia is antiosteoporotic, antimicrobial, aphrodisiac, anticancer, angiogenesis, and hepatoprotective. Eurycomanone has activity as an antimalaria, antipyretic, aphrodisiac, and cytotoxic. The quassinoids, coumarin and glycosides of El have activity increase the production, quality, totality, synthesis and release of spermatozoa. Eurycoma longifolia is very potential to be developed as an antiosteoporotic and aprosidiac drug, but until now most of it is harvested directly from the forest, so to preserve it, we need to study the cultivation method.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe the student’ understanding of law of Fundamental chemistry concept after learning using tools developed through 5E learning cycle model. Designing of learning tools adopted Dick and Carey model. Learning tools was tested on students PGMIPAU FKIP Untan first half of 2014. This type of study was Research and Development. Instruments in this study were the achievement test, observation sheets of lesson plan implementation and observation sheets of barriers in learning. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The findings of the study were: tools developed had feasible validity, implementation of lesson plan was very good, and students' understanding of law of fundamental chemistry concepts was improved that can be seen from the normalized gain scores. It was concluded that student’ learning outcomes after implementing 5E learning cycle model on the law of fundamental chemistry has increased. Abstract

This paper describes the results of learning physics that begins with the complex questions that require integration of multiple knowledge to resolve the question. In the learning process, students were trained to plan for a settlement of the problem by first identifying the required amount of physical quantities. This learning guided students to learn according to their needs in solving the problem, in this case using a top down approach to processing. This learning involved student’s assimilation and accommodation in planning and solving problem involving both, the students will be motivated to participate in the learning process. Physics student learning outcomes obtained after following study at the high category, which showed that not only motivated to follow the lesson, but also they able to achieve a high score   Keywords: top down approach, physics achievement
