Abstract

Science education can be developed based on the uniqueness and superiority of a region, including technology, culture and local (traditional). This study aims to identify and describe local cultural and technological environment of traditional agricultural communities the Malays and Dayaks in Pontianak regency still believed and used in maintaining life, and integrate the local culture and technology in the development of science-based learning the local culture. Qualitative approach to ethnographic studies (etnosains and etnoteknologi study) with emphasis on critical studies and interpretive conducted in order to explore local culture and technological environment of traditional agricultural communities the Malays and Dayaks in observation techniques and in-depth interviews. The results showed that in culture and traditional local technology community agricultural environment Malays and Dayak tribes identified science concepts that can be developed in science learning in schools. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the process of developing spiritual and social attitudes competencies, in a holistic learning of mathematics sourced in the Qur'an. Qualitative research is applied in the preparation of teaching materials based on the integration of core competencies of revised Curriculum-13, and the development of attitude competencies in mathematics learning based on the Qur'anic. The subjects of the study were SMP / MTs students in the lessons of Straight Line Equation. The research data includes documents, learning recordings, and interviews, and it’s analyzed using the Miles & Huberman Method. The study resulted in: (1) mathematics teaching materials on the topic of the Straight Line Equations sourced of the Qur'anic (al Anfal) verses 65-66, to teach holistically, (2) The process of developing competency attitudes is carried out as long as the learning takes place from introduction to closing the lesson. In developing a spiritual attitude, two students are assigned to read the verses of the Qur’an and their translations, then discuss the content of mathematics. Students are aroused by curiosity with questions about verse, working collaboratively with friends, choosing the best ideas (tolerant), and being responsible for completing tasks. In developing skills and knowledge competencies, students are guided to achieve the process of modeling problems related to the Qur'anic verses, so that they find problem solving procedures, or mathematical concepts from the topics studied.Keywords: attitude competency development, holistic mathematics learning.

Abstract

This research aim to to increase activity and result of learning student by exploiting multimedia in course of learning to teach in SMA Country 1 Great River. Peculiarly this research aim to 1) Analyzing how far Acquirement learn the student in intellectual efficiency domain at trig items after taught with the exploiting multimedia 2) Mendeskripsikan Respon student of at trig items after taught with the exploiting multimedia 3) Mendeskripsikan of Pattern aktifitas learn the student of at trig items after taught with the exploiting multimedia.Hereinafter pursuant to research result indicate that the exploiting multimedia in course of mathematics study of at trig items can improve the activity and result of learning student. With the active student percentage 51,51 %, complete percentage result of learning 78,78% and percentage of is make-up of motivation and also enthusiasm learn the student 96,9 % by respon is positive pertained by a goodness. recommend from this research 1) Pursuant to research finding that exploiting multimedia in study of mathematics of trig items very effective, is therefore suggested for all education ladder exploit the multimedia in course of learning to teach 2) If we like to create the atmosphere learn more voluptuous exploit the lah multimedia in course of learning to teach 3) Expected to school head to can to equip, providing facility of related to study media of so that can be used at process learn to teach at school. Abstract

Using Multimedia in Learning Kinetic Gas Theory in SMA / MA Public and Private District of Sambas. This study aims to see changes in student learning outcomes after learning using multimedia by comparing the value of the learning outcomes of the pre-test and post-test. Quasi-experimental methods used in this study with one group pretest-posttest design. Research subjects choose three of four SMA/ MA Public and Private District of Sambas which has a program of Natural Sciences, SMA Negeri 1 Sambas (20 students), MAN Sambas (19 students), and SMA Santo Bonaventura (16 students). Based on the data analysis and discussion, the average percentage of learning outcomes pre-test on Gas Kinetic Theory of 53.68% of the 55 students. While the average percentage of learning outcomes post-test 69.04% of the 55 students. The increase in the average percentage of student learning outcomes in the material Kinetic Theory of Gases using multimedia for 15.37%. The results of calculations using the McNemar test, of the total ten questions occur to improving student learning outcomes Gas Kinetic Theory of matter between before and after learning using multimedia, which calculate the average X2 mean = 9.10 and X2table mean = 3.84 this means that the calculated X2hitung > X2table. Abstract

AbstractThe aim of the research was to find out the effect of learning models on mathematics achievement viewed from the student learning style. The learning model compared were snowball throwing and NHT (Numbered Head Together). The type of the research was a quasi-experimental by 2×3 factorial design. The population was the seven grade student of junior high school in Cileungsi district on academic year 2017/2018. The sampling tecnique was cluster random sampling. The size of the sampel was 60 students consisted of 30 students in the first experimental group and 30 students in second experimental group. The instruments used were mathematics achievement test and learning style questionnaire. The data was analyzed using unbalanced two-way analysis of variance. The conclusions of the research were as follows. (1) Snowball Throwing learning model gives better mathematics achievement than NHT learning model, and (2) The students with visual and auditory learning style have the same mathematics achievement and give better mathematics achievement than the students with kinesthetic learning style, (3) In all the students with visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning style, snowball throwing learning model give the better mathematics achievement than NHT learning model. (4) In the snowball throwing and NHT learning models, students with auditory and visual learning style have the same mathematics achievement and have the better mathematics achievement than students with kinesthetic learning style.Keywords: Snowball throwing, NHT, learning style, mathematics achievement

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar siswa tentang Gaya Lorentz melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. di SMAN 3 Pontianak terhadap 40 siswa kelas XII IPA. Penelitian berlangsung dalam 3 siklus. Sasaran penelitian difokuskan pada pemahaman konsep dan pemecahan masalah Gaya Lorentz. Tingkat keberhasilan tercapai apabila minimal 70% siswa memperoleh nilai di atas 65.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan pretest dan postest pada akhir siklus. Test pemahaman konsep dan pemecahan masalah dilakukan dalam bentuk uraian terstruktur, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran siswa dalam pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan memecahkan masalah.Dari hasil analisis terjadi kenaikan nilai yang sangat signifikan pada tiap siklus. Berarti melalui pembelajaran kooperatif, kualitas proses dan hasil belajar menjadi lebih baik, karena siswa menjadi lebih aktif untuk mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran Kata kunci: kualitas proses dan hasil, pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD

Abstract

This research aimed to produce a feasible learning set used on scope biology material in Xth Grade of SMA. The learning set extended over documentary film medium, lesson plan, student worksheet, and evaluation test on scope biology material in Xth Grade of SMA Negeri 1 Sengah Temila. Research menthod was performed with descriptive analysis in the form of validity and learning set effectivity. From the result of the research yielded: learning set in the form of documentary film medium, lesson plan, student worksheet, evaluation test, were feasible to use as leraning set on scope biology material in Xth Grade of SMA Negeri 1 Sengah Temila. The set effectiveness, resulted an average score of study archievement by the amount of 75,78 and as much as 83,37% of students who have been attained their KKM.Keywords: feasible learning, scope of biology, validity, effectivity.

Abstract

This research aims to increase the active participation of students through lesson study courses in the geometry of space subject. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with the subject is the class A students of the fourth semester  in academic year 2015/2016 who are in the geometry of spaces subject with the number of students are 35. The instruments used are observation sheets of the students' active participation and documentation in the form of photographs and videos. The research procedures based on the stages of the lesson study were 3 cycles in which each cycle consisting of the activity plan, do, and see. This study shows that the results of learning process with the lesson study designed by the model lecturer and the observer can increase the students' active participation, particularly on the subjects of geometry of space. Abstract

                                                       ABSTRACT Implementation of learning at the university level is expected to be conducted interactively and motivate students to participate actively in learning activities. But the reality in learning, still found learning problems about the low learning activities and student learning outcomes. While as an educator, lecturers should be able to know the problems in the learning process or lectures as an effort to improve the quality of learning. Solution to overcome the problem is by giving learning with Contextual Teaching and Learning approach (CTL) through observation method applied in Basic Ecology subject.The purpose of this research is to improve student achievement in Basic Ecology subject through learning with CTL approach and observation method. Expectations from the results of this study is as an information or input that the strategy and learning model with the method of observation can overcome the lack of activity and low student learning outcomes caused by the dominance of female students and the diversity of high school students so that the classroom climate is often noisy and reduced concentration at the time of learning. This research is experimental research, with one class of experiment of Biology student of FKIP Univet Bantara Sukoharjo second semester of class of 2016/2017 taking Basic Ecology subject. The data were collected using observation and test sheets. Technique of data analysis using T test analysis. From the analysis with T test Paired sample for two groups of dependent or pairs on pretest and postes data obtained Asymp results. Sig (2 -tailled) below 0.05 is 0.00 then Ho is rejected. This means that there are significant differences in learning outcomes before (pretest) and after CTL learning with the method of Observation (postes) in Basic Ecology subject especially on the subject matter of Population and Bird Diversity. Thus, it can be concluded that learning CTL with Observation method can improve student achievement in Basic Ecology subject especially material Population or bird diversity. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap etnomatematika yang dipraktekkan oleh masyarakat Dayak di perbatasan Indonesia-Malaysia wilayah Kalimantan Barat dalam menjalani kehidupan sehari-hari. penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini merupakan studi eksplorasi dengan pendekatan interpretivisme dan metode interpretative understanding. Objek penelitian ini adalah aktivitas-aktivitas masyarakat Dayak dalam menjalani kehidupannya sehari-hari. Warga masyarakat Dayak perbatasan Kalimantan Barat yang mengetahui, memahami, serta terampil dalam memproduksi karya budaya dan mengetahui seluk beluk adat istiadat masyarakat setempat dipilih sebagai sumber data penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa etnomatematika digunakan oleh masya-rakat ketika mereka melakukan aktivitas melakukan berbagai upacara adat, menenum kain, menganyam tikar. Meskipun masyarakat tidak paham matematika, namun mereka menerapkan konsep matematika (geometri) yang rumit diterapkan pada motif-motif anyamannya.
