Abstract

Every learning process has its own challenges, one of which is due to the conditions and learning programs pursued by students. For example in the special class ASIFA foundation in collaboration with SMAN 7 Malang. There is a special class of soccer athletes studying at the school, namely in class XI IPS 6. Students in the class have programs in the field of sports that are quite high. Meanwhile, the results of observations and interviews indicate that the development of learning innovations through models and types of media is still not much developed by teachers. The impact, there are symptoms of low interest and lack of creativity in students. Therefore, researchers try to address these problems by conducting classroom action research using Jigsaw models accompanied by comic-making activities in the learning process. The results show that the level of student interest in learning and creativity has increased. In cycle one, there was an average increase of interest of 62%. Meanwhile, in the second cycle there was an increase in interest on average by 74%.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what factors can affect students' independent learning during the covid 19 pandemic. As is known, the covid 19 pandemic has changed the learning process from conventional to online learning. This ultimately requires students to be able to learn more independently, which means students understand more problems, search for literature and solve problems independently. State Boredome, self Compassion and gender are thought to affect self directed learning students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 198 students on SMA IT in South Kalimantan. Research data was collected through google form using self directed learning scale, sstate boredome scale and self compassion scale. Data analysis using multiple regression with the results that there are effect of state boredom, self compassion and gender on self directed learning students. However, of the three research variables, it was only self compassion which significantly affected self directed learning students.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore a question generation strategy for teaching reading comprehension. It was quasi-experimental. The research population used in this study was the whole ninth-grade students of SMP Walisongo Pontianak in the academic year of 2021/2020. This study utilized cluster random sampling to take and choose the sample. The samples were the students from B Class becoming the experimental group and D Class becoming the control group. It applied the measurement technique in this study. The tool of the data collection was a reading test. This study analyzed the data obtained through an independent samples test. The research result showed that the Sig value < 0.05 (0.004 < 0.05), meaning Ha accepted. It proved that the question generation strategy could increase the students’ reading comprehension and make them actively motivated and involved in the learning process. Besides, the significant effect in teaching reading comprehension had a strong effect (0.727). Therefore, it is proposed to use in teaching the reading comprehension context. It could develop students’ thoughts about understanding the text, encourage them to be active and smart readers, increase their understanding of the text they read, and help them catch essential ideas.

Abstract

Abstract Despite the global recognition of online learning as the best available option to keep enacting educational practices, particularly foreign language learning,  amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, many concern about the constraints faced by students in this unpredicted distance learning. Involving second-year students in an Islamic state university in the province of Lampung, this study aimed to investigate EFL leaners’ barriers in learning speaking in online classroom and how they cope with the barriers. The data were generated through open-ended questionnaires and then analyzed using Miles and Huberman Model. The findings of the study classified three types of barriers, namely technical barriers such as bad internet connection and running out of data quota, linguistic barriers such as by lack of vocabularies, grammar and pronunciation, and personal emotional barriers such as lack of confidence and afraid of making mistakes.  Meanwhile, the coping strategies with these obstacles were using more providers and finding area with good signal for technical strategies. For linguistics Strategies, learners listened the conversation and the song, memorized more vocabularies, comprehended more grammar, Reading a lot and highlight the unknown words, found the meaning of unknown words from dictionary, Watched more videos and films, discussed everything in English with more friends, practice to speak in front of the mirror and recorded it.  While in Personal Emotional, learners increased their confidence by forcing and convincing themselves to speak and always keep trying, everything they felt was the challenge, ignored of being afraid on making mistakes, not be panic and take a deep breath to make them relax and enjoy every situation. Keywords: English speaking, barriers, online learning, Covid-19

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the implementation of inclusive education at the Inclusive Pilot School in Pontianak, particularly at the preschool level. The Pilot Inclusion Preschool in Pontianak consists of West Pontianak Integrated Kindergarten/ Preschool and North Pontianak Selayar Kindergarten. The two kindergartens provide inclusive education for children with special needs ages 4-6. The method used in this study is a descriptive method to describe inclusive education objectively in the two preschools. The techniques used in this research are observation, interviews, and documentary studies. The data needed is related to the two preschool institutions’ planning, implementation, and evaluation of inclusive education. Overall, findings revealed that the institutions have carried out planning, implementation, and evaluation in providing services to children with special needs. However, they did not entirely follow the techniqal instructions for implementing inclusive education. PAUD Inklusi Percontohan di Pontianak terdiri dari TK/PAUD Terpadu Pontianak Barat dan TK Selayar Pontianak Utara. Kedua TK tersebut menyediakan pendidikan inklusif bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus usia 4-6 tahun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif untuk menggambarkan pendidikan inklusi secara objektif di kedua PAUD tersebut. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumenter. Data yang dibutuhkan terkait dengan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pendidikan inklusif kedua lembaga prasekolah tersebut. Secara keseluruhan, temuan mengungkapkan bahwa lembaga telah melakukan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada anak berkebutuhan khusus. Namun, mereka tidak sepenuhnya mengikuti petunjuk teknis penyelenggaraan pendidikan inklusif.Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Inklusi, Sekolah Inklusi, Prasekolah, Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the potential of traditional gotah games for early childhood development in Desa Beringin, Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu. The research method used is descriptive method in the form of qualitative research. Sources of data in this study were the community, PAUD teachers and children aged 4-6 years in Desa Beringin, Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that: 1. Gotah traditional games in developing the potential of early childhood morals contained the ability to behave well, self-development of good behavior, sportsmanship, respect and honesty, 2. Gotah traditional games in the aspect of potential early childhood gross motor skills contained in gross motor skills and fine motor skills.Thus, the traditional game guide of gotah has the potential to develop early childhood aspects in Desa Beringin, Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu.     Keywords: Gotah Traditional Games and Early Childhood Development

Abstract

Speaking skills are one of the language skills that must be mastered by students, including elementary school (SD) students. This skill must always be honed, especially by elementary school students who have specific learning difficulties, so that students can play an active role in communicating. Therefore, it is necessary to have good stimulation to improve the speaking skills of elementary school students. Flashcard media can be used as a medium to improve students' speaking skills. The method used in this research is a literature review or literature study. The results of this study indicate that the flashcard medium is practical and effective when used in learning. By utilizing Flash Card media, learning is more conducive and fun because Flashcard media can attract students' attention. Students' mastery of language develops and students' speaking skills, especially those of students with specific learning disabilities, increase. Students are easier to add and pronounce vocabulary and memorize vocabulary, which helps students recognize letters and make it easier for students to be able to tell stories according to what is in the picture, so that students' imaginations develop, helping students to learn to think critically, students' enthusiasm for learning increases, and students become more courageous.

Abstract

The study's goal was to see how the Chinese whisper game and vocabulary practice affected the students' ability to communicate in English. The experimental approach was being used in this study. A 2x2 factorial design is used in research. Data on learning outcomes were gathered through pre- and post-testing activities. There were 280 students in the class of X MA Negeri 1 Serang, and a random sample of 80 students were chosen to participate in the study. Experiment and control groups were significantly different at the posttest, according to the results of this study. For the FO, the value is 5.225, whereas for the Significance, the number ranges from 0.025 < 0.05. This shows that the null hypothesis has been rejected and the research hypothesis has been validated. For students' capacity to communicate effectively in English, this suggests a distinction between the effects of playing Chinese whisper games and learning vocabulary

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan usaha nyata dan terstruktur dalam mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran agar siswa mampu mengembangkan potensi yang dimikilinya. Proses pembelajaran juga memiliki peran penting agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai secara maksimal. Aspek yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan pembelajaran diantara dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran karena dapat menjadi perantara antara pendidik dan peserta didik, salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan teknologi Augmented Reality. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis AR untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dipadukan dengan model pengembangan produk ADDIE. Subjek uji media dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas X dengan metode SUS serta dilakukan uii coba ahli media dan ahli materi dengan pengumpulan data yang menggunakan angket. Media pembelajaran berbasis AR memperoleh hasil penilaian dari siswa dengan skor 78 dengan kriteria acceptable, sedangkan ahli media diperoleh rata-rata koefisien V sebesar 0,84 dengan hasil reliabilitas 0,880 dan dinyatakan reliabilitas kuat.. Ahli materi diperoleh rata-rata koefisien sebesar 0,94 dan hasil reliabilitas dengan nilai 0,815 dengan kriteria reliabilitas kuat. Sehingga dinyatakan media pembelajaran Dasar Desain Grafis berbasis Augmented Reality layak diimplementasikan untuk siswa.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted to analyze the tradition of marriage gathering and the learning process of the value of mutual cooperation in marriage gathering in the Sambas Malay custom. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach, while the type of research is phenomenology, located in Sambas Regency, with research informants involving 8 people who are the Sambas Malay tribe. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews. The data analysis process was carried out with three stages of activities carried out simultaneously, namely reducing data, presenting data, and establishing conclusions. The findings of the study indicate: (1) marriage gathering, which is better known as a union or jimpitan, is a form of mutual cooperation and togetherness in the Sambas Malay community; & (2) the Sambas Malay community often involves their children in marriage arisan, which is intended to teach their children the value of mutual cooperation, about how to ease the burden of the high cost of marriage, which is borne jointly with the same mechanism. can be accounted for. Keywords: values, mutual assistance, marriage gathering. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis tradisi arisan pernikahan dan proses pembelajaran nilai gotong-royong dalam arisan pernikahan dalam adat Melayu Sambas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif, adapun jenis penelitiannya adalah fenomenologi, berlokasi di Kabupaten Sambas, dengan informan penelitian yang melibatkan 8 orang masyarakat yang merupakan suku Melayu Sambas. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan indepth interview. Proses analisis data dilakukan dengan tiga tahap kegiatan yang dilaksanakan secara bersamaan yakni me-reduksi data, menyaji data, dan menetapkan simpulan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan: (1) arisan pernikahan yang lebih dikenal dengan persatuan atau jimpitan merupakan wujud gotong-royong dan kebersamaan dalam masyarakat Melayu Sambas; & (2) masyarakat Melayu Sambas seringkali melibatkan anak-anak mereka dalam arisan pernikahan, yang dimaksudkan untuk membelajarkan anak-anak mereka nilai gotong-royong, tentang bagaimana saling meringankan beban biaya pernikahan yang cukup tinggi, yang ditanggung secara bersama-sama dengan mekanisme yang dapat dipertanggungjawabkan. Kata Kunci: nilai, gotong-royong, arisan pernikahan
