Focus and Scope Jurnal Riset Manajemen dan Bisnis (p-ISSN: 1907-7343; e-ISSN: 2714-7312) adalah jurnal yang dipublikasikan oleh Fakultas Bisnis Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana yang terbit dua kali setahun (Juli dan Desember). Jurnal ini didedikasikan sebagai sarana untuk berbagi dan diseminasi studi-studi terbaru dari para peneliti manajemen dan bisnis. Artikel-artikel empiris yang menyajikan riset yang akurat dan teliti secara metodologis dan temuan yang mencerahkan sangat dinantikan. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research analyzed local economic development strategy in 4 regencies and 1 city in Province of DIY based on the data of year 2001 to 2008. The method used to analyze the hypotheses were Klassen Typology and Location Quotient. Using hypothesis test for means and ANOVA, the results showed that each regency and city in same diagram area with Klassen Typology have spesific local economic development strategy to develop region. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of bankruptcy risk and debt proportion to undepricing phenomenon in Initial Public Offering. This study analyzes a sample of initial public offfering made of indonesian stock exchange-listed non finance firms over the periode 2001-2010. Date analysis uses multiple regression model. The results show that debt proportion have negative effect on underpricing, while bankruptcy risk shows no such effect. This result consistent with signaling equilibrium phenomenom. Keyswords: underpricing, debt, and bankruptcy risk.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study examined the effect of environmental factors, entrepreneurial orientation, and market orientation on profitability in small business. In this study, we consider two dimensions of external environment: technological turbulence and competitive intensity. Theoretically, technological turbulence, competitive intensity, and entrepreneurial orientation are correlated, but distinct construct. Data was processed with Structural Equation Modeling using AMOS program. The results showed that technological turbulence has no direct effect on market orientation, but competitive intensity proved to have significant impact on market orientation. Entrepreneurial orientation has a direct effect and an indirect effect on profitability mediated by market orientation. The result also showed that market orientation proved to have significant impact on profitability. Based on the results, this study suggest, at least in small firms, competitive intensity and entrepreneurial orientation complements market orientation by instilling an opportunistic culture that impacts the profitability. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of ownership satisfaction to loyalty membership card in the modern retail visitors in Yogyakarta. This study used 102 respondents as a sample of consumers who are visiting at the modern retail. While the sampling technique used is a combination of snowball sampling technique and purposive sampling. The results showed that the satisfaction of the benefits of discount, ease of service satisfaction, and satisfaction with the service special influence on modern retail visitor loyalty, while satisfaction with the service doesn’t influence on the visitor loyalty. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research analysis the factors’ that determine the foreign direct investment (FDI) in ASEAN’s countries especially Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine and Thailand during 1990-2009. Multinational Enterprises’ (MNE) must decide to choose a location for relocating its’ factory by market seeking dan resources seeking strategy. Based on this statement, it can be obtained the regression equation with foreign direct investment is a function of market size, worker’s productivity and infrastructure of road. Statistical data of UNESCAP was used in this research. The regression was base on the panel data model, while the estimation was based on common effects model. This results show that the market size, worker’s productivity and availability of infrastructure road could be an importance consideration for MNE’s in their choice for FDI. Abstract

ABSTRACT Many survei and research found that Micro, small and medium entreprizes (UMKM), have some difficulties to access banking sector for a credit. Many constraints to the banking sector can be devided into two categories, first is financial factors and the other is non financial factors. Using logistic regression with 200 respondents, this paper want to identify key factors to access the bank. It found that financial factors did not cause their probability to acces the bank increasingly. But, non financial factor, that is their experiences to have relation with their supplier, was caused their probability to access bank sector significantly. From this result, the policy and framework to support UMKM accessing the banking sectors should consider their relationships with their supplier, or more wider their communication and skill to make sustainable network. Abstract

ABSTRACT The research aims to analyze whether the advertised product, the advertisement design, the advertisement message, the brand image and the price of the advertised has significant influence toward the re-purchase interest of the Carrefour Plaza Ambarrukmo Yogyakarta customers. The results show that the advertised product, the advertisement design, the advertisement message, the brand image and the price of the promoted products have significant and positive influence toward the repurchase interest. The result of the research also indicates that price is the most dominant factor in influencing the re-purchase interest. Keywords: product, advertisement, brand, price, re-purchase

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research investigates the influence of institutional factors on wage levels of the production workers in the labor-intensive and capital intensive industries. The institutional factors include the provincial minimum wage and the union law. The data published by BPS is used in this study. This study use regression analysis based on error correction model. The results show that in the labor-intensive industries, the provincial minimum wage significantly influence the wages level of production workers, while in the capital-intensive industries the provincial minimum wage does not have effect. Meanwhile, the enforcement of union laws have no effect on the wages of production workers both in the labor-intensive and capital-intensive industries. Abstract

ABSTRACT Thisstudy aims to analyze the effect of brand preference and self image congruency on customers satisfaction using seluler's telephonic product. This study uses survey methods. Survey’s region is at Yogyakarta city.The sampels used in this study are 100 respondents. This research uses multiple regression as its data analyses. The results show that self image congruency and brand preference influenceon customers satisfaction using seluler's telephonical product. Also, this study indicates that self image congruency’s role is more dominanton customer satisfaction. Keywords: self image congruency, brand preference, and consumer satisfaction

Abstract

ABSTRACT There are 3 phenomens of most economic which undivided that openess and international trade and economic growth. Openess is the first frame for most country to do consolidation for its capability and weakness. International trade have able support high economic growth signify-cantly. This paper would like to inform us about development of international economic from Classical Economic era to Modern International Economic (integra-tion of endogenous growth and trade). The analyzis is not only compa-rative static approach but also intertemporal approach. Scientificly the country’s advantage of modern international trade is not only ana-lyzed for technology and specialization but also countries’s factor share. Generally, all countries tend to the long term equilibrium in the balance growth path. Therefore, each country and rest of the world will able to meet welfare economy not only individually but also international. Keywords: Technology, International Trade, Economic Growth
