Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in economic growth and community welfare. However, challenges in market competition, changing consumer behavior, and technological advancements require MSMEs to adapt through innovation and digitalization. This study aims to enhance the competitiveness of Jaringan Wirausaha (JAWARA) MSMEs in Bojongsari, Depok, by implementing innovative strategies based on digital technology. The Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) methodology includes SWOT analysis to identify MSMEs’ strengths and weaknesses, digital business training, and the application of product and marketing innovation strategies. Findings indicate that the adoption of digital technology, such as e-commerce, social media marketing, and customer management systems, significantly improves operational efficiency, market reach, and revenue generation for JAWARA MSMEs. This program concludes that digitalization and innovation are essential factors in enhancing MSME competitiveness in the digital economy era. With proper education, business mentoring, and technology optimization, MSMEs can grow sustainably and remain competitive. This study provides strategic recommendations for local MSMEs to leverage technology-driven innovation for sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in driving the local economy, especially in developing areas like Bojongsari, Depok. However, one of the main challenges faced by MSMEs is the lack of proper financial management and budgeting skills. Many business owners struggle to allocate resources effectively, which often leads to inefficiencies and limits business growth. In response to this issue, a community service initiative was designed to enhance the budgeting capabilities of MSMEs under the Jawara (Jaringan Wirausaha) network. The goal of this initiative was to provide practical and interactive budgeting training for selected MSMEs, aiming to improve their understanding and skills in developing effective business budgets. Out of 244 registered MSMEs, 35 were selected to participate in this program. The stages of the program included problem and needs mapping, preparation of training modules, delivery of interactive training sessions, and integration with the PEWARA UNPAM program. The training was conducted from May 11–13, 2025, in Bojongsari Village, Depok. The methods used included participatory learning, distribution of practical financial management guides, and discussions to promote sustainable business practices. The outcome showed that participating MSME members gained a stronger awareness of the importance of sound budgeting. This was evident from their enthusiasm, engagement in discussions, and the variety of relevant questions posed during the sessions. The program successfully empowered entrepreneurs to manage their finances more effectively and sustainably.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has brought significant changes to marketing strategies, especially for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that need to adapt to stay competitive. This community service activity aimed to enhance the understanding and application of digital marketing among MSME actors in Lebak Regency, Banten Province, as a strategy to increase their sales performance. The activity was held on June 30, 2024, at the DPRD Building of Lebak Regency, involving 25 lecturers and master's students of Management from Universitas Pamulang (Unpam) as facilitators and 50 local MSME participants. The program was carried out through a structured approach consisting of preparation, implementation, and closing stages, using a combination of material presentation and practical sessions. The results showed increased awareness and skills among MSME participants in utilizing digital platforms for marketing, such as social media, e-commerce, and content creation. This initiative implies that targeted digital marketing training can play a pivotal role in supporting MSMEs to adapt in the digital era and improve their market reach.

Abstract

The issue of declining soil fertility and limited access to sustainable agricultural inputs is a major challenge for smallholder farmers in Kefa Selatan, Timor Tengah Utara Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. In response, a community service program was initiated under the title Empowerment of KWT Mekar Sari in Kefa Selatan Subdistrict through Biochar Compost Training for Horticultural Cultivation. The objective of this activity was to enhance the capacity of local farmers, particularly members of the Mekar Sari Women Farmers Group (KWT), in producing and utilizing biochar compost to improve soil quality and increase horticultural crop productivity. The activity was carried out from July to September 2024 in Kefa Selatan and involved 15 local farmers as participants, facilitated by a team of 7 lecturers and students from the University of Timor. The methods employed included educational sessions on the benefits of compost, hands-on training in biochar compost production, and demonstration of its application in horticultural crop cultivation. As a result, participants gained practical knowledge and skills in sustainable composting techniques and showed increased awareness of organic farming benefits. The training also stimulated greater community engagement and environmental awareness. This program is expected to serve as a model for similar initiatives in other rural communities.

Abstract

The availability of high-quality, certified broodstock is a key factor in improving fish farming productivity. However, many small-scale fish farmer groups still rely on uncertified broodstock, leading to reduced fry quality and lower production yields. In response to this issue, a community service program titled Optimization of Certified Broodstock as an Effort to Increase the Productivity of the Rizky Mina Utama Fish Farmers Group in Tarakan City was conducted. The program aimed to enhance the knowledge and technical skills of local fish farmers regarding the selection and management of certified broodstock to improve aquaculture outcomes. The activity was implemented in July 2025 at the Rizky Mina Utama Fish Farmers Group (POKDAKAN) in Karang Harapan Subdistrict, Tarakan City. The implementation team consisted of 25 lecturers and students from Borneo Tarakan University, while the participants included 15 members of the Rizky Mina Utama fish farmers group. The methods used in the program included presentations, hands-on practical training, interactive discussions, and Q&A sessions. The results showed a significant increase in participants’ understanding of broodstock certification, selection techniques, and proper broodstock management. Moreover, the program fostered greater awareness of the importance of using certified broodstock to ensure fry quality and production sustainability. This initiative is expected to support long-term improvements in local aquaculture practices.

Abstract

Household organic waste is a major contributor to environmental pollution when not properly managed. In urban areas like Kota Baru Sub-district, Bandar Lampung City, improper waste disposal practices have resulted in increased waste volume and environmental degradation. This community service program (PKM) aimed to raise public awareness and provide practical knowledge on the utilization of household organic waste through environmentally friendly methods. The activity was conducted in July 2025 at the Kota Baru Sub-district Office, involving seven lecturers and students from the University of Lampung as facilitators, and twenty local residents as participants. The program consisted of educational presentations, practical workshops on making eco-enzyme products, maggot cultivation, and packaging techniques, followed by interactive discussions and a Q&A session. The approach emphasized direct community involvement, hands-on learning, and sustainable waste management practices. As a result, participants showed increased understanding of organic waste management and demonstrated the ability to replicate the techniques independently. Many expressed commitment to apply the knowledge in their households and spread it to their community. This activity not only enhanced environmental awareness but also empowered the community to contribute to waste reduction through simple, low-cost technologies.

Abstract

Organizational culture within educational institutions plays a vital role in shaping the behavior, professionalism, and performance of educators and students alike. Yayasan Mutakabbir in Bogor Regency has identified key challenges related to discipline, motivation, competency, financial management, and the protection of teachers as part of its organizational development. To address these issues, a Community Service Program (PKM) titled "Improving Discipline, Motivation, Competence, Financial Management Training, Financial Planning Literacy, and Teacher Protection in Building Organizational Culture at Yayasan Mutakabbir" was conducted. The activity took place on May 28, 2025, involving 15 lecturers from the Bachelor of Accounting Program, Universitas Pamulang, as facilitators. The participants consisted of 50 individuals, including both students and teachers of Yayasan Mutakabbir. The PKM was implemented using a knowledge-sharing method combined with interactive Q&A sessions, ensuring participant engagement and practical understanding. The program was carried out in three main stages: preparation, implementation, and reporting. Topics delivered included discipline building, motivation enhancement, basic financial management, financial planning, and strategies for safeguarding teacher rights. The outcomes of this program demonstrated increased awareness, improved knowledge, and positive behavioral shifts among participants, particularly in terms of financial literacy and organizational values. This activity has laid a strong foundation for the development of a more professional and values-oriented organizational culture within Yayasan Mutakabbir.

Abstract

Financial literacy is an individual's knowledge and expertise related to finances that influences economic behavior in making decisions about financial management. Low financial literacy can lead to overspending, increasing debt burdens, difficulty saving, and vulnerability to investment fraud and illegal online loans. Islamic boarding school students are generally unaware of the constant threat of digital financial crimes, such as illegal online loans. Based on this situation, one way to help them avoid the dangers of illegal online loans is by providing education regarding the dangers of illegal online loans. The goal of this education is to increase their financial awareness and literacy to prevent them from being trapped by illegal online loans that are detrimental, and to equip them with the skills to manage their finances healthily and responsibly. This education is important to protect students from negative impacts such as high interest rates, multiple fines, intimidating debt collection, and serious financial, psychological, and legal consequences. The community service team uses a three-stage educational method: lecture, discussion, and evaluation. The community service took place at the RH La Tahzan Islamic Boarding School, Cinangka Village, Sawangan District, Depok City, West Java Province on August 10, 2025, with 30 students participating. The result of this education is an increased understanding of the students about the dangers of online loans, especially those that are illegal and not supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). This is demonstrated by the beginning of the formation of a habitual process in managing personal finances, keeping personal data safe and being more careful when opening links from unknown sources.

Abstract

Waste management through community-based initiatives such as waste banks plays a significant role in improving environmental quality and economic welfare. This Community Service Program (PKM) titled “Improving Waste Bank Management to Enhance Community Welfare in Cicalengka Village, Tangerang Regency” was carried out to strengthen the management capacity of Bank Sampah Sinaran Mentari. The program aimed to increase the knowledge, skills, and awareness of the community in managing waste more effectively to generate economic value and support environmental sustainability. The PKM activity was conducted on November 2, 2025, involving eight lecturers from Universitas Pamulang as facilitators and forty-nine participants who are members of the waste bank in Cicalengka Village. The implementation method consisted of three stages: preparation, execution, and reporting. The activities included material presentation, practical sessions, group discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The training covered waste sorting techniques, financial management of waste banks, and strategies for marketing recycled products. The results showed an improvement in participants’ understanding and motivation in managing waste systematically and productively. Additionally, participants demonstrated increased capability in organizing and documenting waste transactions, which contributes to enhancing their household income. Overall, this PKM activity successfully empowered the community to manage waste banks as sustainable social enterprises.

Abstract

Financial education from an early age is essential for shaping responsible financial behavior and instilling positive values related to money management. This community service program (PKM) was carried out to strengthen the role of teachers and parents in introducing the values of saving, sharing, and wise consumption among young children. The activity took place at Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Tajaul Karomatu, Desa Situ Gadung, Tangerang, on August 31, 2025. The program was implemented by six lecturers from Universitas Pamulang and involved 35 participants consisting of teachers and students. The methods used included material presentations, practical exercises, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. During the activity, participants were provided with interactive learning materials and demonstrations designed to encourage children to practice saving habits, generosity, and prudent spending behavior in their daily lives. The results of the PKM showed an increase in participants’ understanding of early childhood financial education concepts and greater awareness of the collaborative roles of teachers and parents in guiding children’s financial literacy. Participants also expressed enthusiasm for applying the knowledge gained in classroom and home environments. Overall, this program successfully fostered engagement, knowledge sharing, and sustainable practices in early financial education within the school community.
