Abstract

There still needs to be a higher level of participation as a lecturer in implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education in producing scientific publications. One solution is to initiate the Kelompok Riset (Keris) to increase scientific publications for lecturers, especially lecturers in the Accounting Department, FE UNNES. The approach method used in this community partnership program is AKPL Criteria, USG Analysis, Fishbone Analysis, and Mc Namara Filtering Technique Analysis for determining priority issues and root causes of problems. In addition, the 7M Analysis and Constraint-Solution-Recommendation Analysis were used to prepare and implement Kelompok Riset (Keris)’s technical guidebook. As a result, the Kelompok Riset (Keris) can become the smallest format unit in the technical implementation and substance of research activities by lecturers of the Accounting Department to facilitate the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of research activities. Hopefully, It will spearhead the reputation of the Accounting Department, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Semarang on a national and international scale. So the lecturers of the Accounting Department can achieve the targets of articles for publication in Scopus-indexed journals that the faculty has set.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Banjaran Unit area of Guwosari District, Bantul, Yogyakarta, which are engaged in the culinary business, became collaborators in this activity. MSMEs have problems in the marketing process which is still very basic and conventional, and lack of understanding of financial records. Thus, the author offers guidance on how to manage digital media effectively, as well as how to create financial reports and business accounts on platforms such as Instagram and Linktree and ledgers as a financial recording site. The technique used is a qualitative approach based on outreach, discussion, and providing instructions on how to register an account on digital media and manage the account. The results of this activity indicate that periodic assistance is necessary so that digital marketing tactics can be used effectively and optimally in assisting marketing efforts and boosting sales to MSME companies. Suggestions were made by the activity implementing team so that more MSMEs would receive assistance on the benefits of digital marketing for their businesses. This will be very helpful in encouraging an understanding of digital marketing regarding the steps taken, creating and managing social media applications more optimally for business development.

Abstract

The social interactions that have occurred recently have begun to be eroded by individualist and materialist life patterns. Likewise, communication patterns that are increasingly sophisticated with advances in information technology add to the length of the problem of social interaction in society. This community service was carried out to assist in celebrating the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. to realize an increase in social interaction during the Grand Sangatta housing community, East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan Province. It was hoped that the birthday Prophet Muhammad SAW implementation could increase togetherness, mutual help, unity and integrity among residents of the Grand Sangatta housing. The method used in this service was the participatory action research method. The service results showed that the social interaction in the middle of the Grand housing community Sangatta was getting more intense. It could be seen from the increasing enthusiasm of the community in participating in activities carried out together as if Khotmil Qur'an at the end of the month, Yasinan and Tahlilan on Friday nights, reading the Al-Waqiah letters every Saturday night, and working together to clean up residential areas. Thus, community service in the form of accompanying the celebration of the Prophet Muhammad's Birthday could positively impact related to social interaction in the Grand Sangatta Housing community.

Abstract

MSMEs, resilient and resistant to the economic crisis, can absorb labour, thereby reducing unemployment. Therefore, activities for MSMEs are needed to develop their business in a better direction. Tlogo Hamlet business actors still need to pay more attention to recording reports; there is no separation between personal money and business money, and lack of knowledge about the benefits of recording simple financial statements. The purpose of implementing community service activities in Education Report Recording for MSMEs in Tlogo Hamlet, Sutopati Kajoran Village, is to provide education and assistance to MSMEs related to recording financial statements, how to record and their benefits for businesses. Assisting MSMEs in implementing bookkeeping in their daily activities. The PAR (Participatory Action Research) method is the method of implementing this community service. To solve existing problems, the activities carried out consist of investigations, actions, and reflections. Inquiry is the stage where the team searches for problems and needs, which can obtain the main problems and programs needed. Action is the stage carried out to carry out the program, which consists of two activities: forming partnerships and implementing activities needed by partners. Partners in implementing this service consist of MSMEs actors, women farmer groups, and PKK groups. The reflection stage is the stage that shows the results of activities and reviews activities that have been carried out. The results of the community's implementation and research are aware of the benefits, understanding and increased knowledge about the importance of recording simple financial statements for business actors. This service activity implies that MSMEs actors, especially in Tlogo Hamlet, Sutopati Kajoran Village, can understand good ways of entrepreneurship through financial records to make it easier for them to develop achievements and know progress through cash inflow and outflow transaction activities.

Abstract

Teaching materials are an important requirement in realizing effective learning in schools. This problem requires the need for teaching materials as a solution to the problem of low numeracy skills. Some of the obstacles in learning mathematics are that teachers are less aware of the importance of preparing teaching materials according to their needs, the benefits of teaching materials in preparing learning tools and implementing learning, and teachers do not understand the mechanisms and techniques for preparing correct teaching materials. The preparation of teaching materials is very important, especially in improving students' mathematical abilities, especially numeracy. To provide solutions to these problems, the PKM Team conducted training on Teaching Materials and Numeracy Instruments for Elementary School Teachers. The stages that are passed are 1) preparation, 2) implementation and 3) evaluation. The participants of this training were 54 with the target audience of UNPAS Mathematics Education Master's students who teach in elementary schools and SD Plus Al-Ghifari mathematics teacher. The activity results showed an improvement in teachers' knowledge and skills regarding numeracy-based teaching materials and instruments, with an initial ability to obtain an average score of 27.04 and a final score with an average of 81.48. Meanwhile, participants' response to the PKM activity obtained a score of 4.6 in the highly satisfactory category. These activity results concluded that there was an improvement in teachers' knowledge and skills in developing numeracy-based teaching materials and instruments, and participants gave a highly satisfactory response to the training activity conducted.

Abstract

At present, especially in Ogan Ilir District, the COVID-19 pandemic conditions had triggered a food war between candidates in the 2020 Ogan Ilir Regional Election (pilkada). Although social media, particularly Facebook, facilitates voter participation in various political issues in the regional elections, voters had the potential to became political victims because they consumed fake news, slander, and hate speech. One of the layers of the population that was vulnerable to becoming victims was youth voters (17-23 years old). As youth voters will continue the political leadership relay in Ogan Ilir District, there should be a systematic effort to increase their thinking and political awareness. Even though every day they was presented with patronage practices and emotional political relations, youth voters should be given the opportunity to understand and elaborate election contestation from a different perspective. Money politics may not be prevented, but the young generation must still be introduced to the concept of the ideal pilkada. This service activity was designed to increase the political knowledge of the officials/members of the Karang Taruna in Ogan Ilir District with the tutorial lecture and group discussion methods. The contribution of this service activity to the increase in knowledge and political insight of the participants was proven statistically, t(52) = 11.25, p <0.001. This article recommends that similar activities be carried out in a sustainable manner by various parties with an interest in the process of empowering the younger generation.

Abstract

Lingga Village, located in the highlands of Karo Regency, has many kinds of fresh vegetables, and one of the most demanding is the carrot. However, the problem faced by the farmer is that they need more knowledge about the management process, such as the fluctuation of carrot sales prices, the malformation of carrot growth, limited marketing opportunities, and training about it. Therefore, this community service aimed to assist these farmers in finding possible solutions using the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) method. The main topic delivered was handling price fluctuations in carrots; preventing the malformation of carrot growth; carrot business potential; and e-commerce-based business development. The results show that the owner still needed to start using the exact formula for the fertilizer composition. Therefore, the team gave the suggestion based on the Ministry of Agriculture’s recommendation. Some potential ways to expand the business suggestion are consignment with traders/conventional shops/supermarkets or even selling the product through e-commerce platforms. However, the owner has limitations in using technology and needs help from relatives, especially the youths. To conclude, the owner should start the expansion with the WhatsApp business because that platform that has been widely used and is easier to maintain.

Abstract

Muslims are prohibited from carrying out economic muamalah activities in any field without knowledge about muamalah. Muzara'ah is an agricultural processing cooperation between the land owner and cultivator, the land owner gives agricultural land to the cultivator to be planted and maintained in return for a certain share (percentage) of the crop. Farmers who have been working as farmers for a long time, the availability of land, and the application of coffee agroforestry with the muzara'ah concept are expected to be able to improve the economy in farmer families. Unlike the case with farmers who initially did not have a job or became agricultural laborers, the existence of former forest land and the application of agroforestry are considered capable of providing opportunities to work and generate income. The research area or location chosen is in Mulyorejo Village, Silo District, Jember Regency, East Java. This decision was made with the consideration that Mulyorejo Village has experienced forest conversion into coffee-based agroforestry land and is currently experiencing conflict-prone areas. The research method used is Community development with a case study approach, counseling, training, and mentoring methods. The paper shows that the partnership agreement in the muzara'ah contract in coffee plantation area is an effort to provide legal certainty guarantees for partnering parties which in turn can improve the socio-economic for the people of Mulyorejo village and provide benefits for Perhutani KPH Jember and Jember Regency.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the application of natural flavoring powder processed from shrimp waste. Natural MSG (Monosodium glutamate) which plays a role in shrimp waste due to the presence of glutamic acid in it. Flavoring is a component of cooking that can provide flavors to food. As an alternative to using flavoring shrimp waste can be used as a basic ingredient of flavoring high protein and safe for health. The implementation method is carried out through 3 steps, (1) preparation and briefing, (2) implementation of program and (3) evaluation of the implementation of program. This activity was welcomed by the enthusiasm of the residents and was attended by around 50 trainess. The results of the program show that the process of making shrimp broth powder has been very well carried out in accordance with the directions for processing procedures and also ran smoothly followed by enthusiastic trainees following. Assessment of the characteristics of shrimp broth powder showed that the appearance of shrimp broth powder was very uniform and intact, had a light brown color, had a smooth texture, and had a delicious taste.

Abstract

Gili Labak Island is located in Kombang Village, Talango District, Sumenep Madura Regency. Marine tourism in Gili Labak is in the form of beach tourism (white sand) and snorkeling tours, because Gili Labak has an unspoiled and shallow coral reef ecosystem that is easily accessible to visitors. The current problem is the socio-economic gap between the local residents of Gili Labak Island and tour agents who are people from outside the island. In addition, there is a threat of damage to the coral reef ecosystem due to the activities of tourists who do not understand the code of conduct while traveling on coral reefs. The mentoring method used in this community service is PAR (Participatory Action Research). The UHT community service team built a website with the name https://wonderfulgililabak.com/ for the promotion of Gili Labak coral reef tourism. The dissemination of tour guides on coral reefs using leaflets in the local language (Madura) was quite effective in making local people and visitors understand the importance of preserving coral reef ecosystems. The use of websites for digital marketing of marine tourism in Gili Labak is still not effective due to the limited ability of local people to manage websites.
