Jurnal Manajemen is a scientific communication media published by the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, University of Palembang. The Management Journal is dedicated to researchers and academics who wish to publish research papers, technical papers, conceptual papers, and case study reports. Scientific periodical publications on Management-related issues covering Human Resources Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management and Operations Management as well as Strategic Management. In addition, the Management Journal is also a medium for disseminating research information for lecturers, researchers and practitioners. The Palembang Economics Faculty Management Journal is published fourty times a year with ISSN print 2686-2530 and ISSN online 2089-6832. In this Jurnal Manajemen, authors are required to register first and upload manuscripts online. The script creation process can be monitored via OJS. Authors, readers, editorial boards, editors, and peer reviewers can get the status of manuscripts in real time. A hard copy of the journal can be purchased by the system. Several other changes are announced in the History Journal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the extent to which leadership styles affect the performance and leadership style which dominant influence on performance. This research uses leadership style as independent variable and performance as dependent variable. The sample used is all employees of PT Nindya Karya (Persero) Palembang as much as 71 respondents. The analytical technique used consists of qualitative and quantitative methods by using SPSS data processing application program version 19 for windows. The result of this research show that leadership style have influence to performance equal to 10,492, and dominant leadership style variables influencing to performance exist in supportive style of leadership equal to 3,705, The writer conclude that company should still maintain suportive leadership style to improve employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the financial performance of cigarette manufacturing companies listed on the BEI by using EVA analysis, and prove positive accounting earnings will have or do not have a positive EVA value. By using sample 4 (four) cigarette manufacturing companies listed on BEI, the result of this research mention that there are 3 of 4 or (75%) cigarette manufacturing companies listed on BEI experiencing EVA > 0 value, and profit positive accounting does not necessarily make the EVA value positive as well. This is due to an increase in the cost of equity capital that contributes the largest cost to the WACC figure which results in high capital charger borne by the company.

Abstract

Employees and companies are two things that can not be separated. Employees play a major role in running the life of the company and active actors in every activity of the organization. The wheel of company life will be better if the company provides adequate facilities that can support employee commitment. Commitment is an attitude of willingness to uphold the vision, mission and willingness to exert all efforts in carrying out the task. Employee commitment will not grow by itself, there is a significant relationship between work culture and employee commitment The purpose of this study is "whether the work culture and work facilities affect the commitment of employees of PT. Sewindu Tiara Sakti Palembang? ”Hypothesis testing uses multiple linear regression analysis, through the T test and F test with the aim to determine the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable at a 95% confidence level (a = 0.05).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of quality of work life and work climate on work loyalty with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at PT Surveyor Indonesia Palembang Branch. The study was conducted on employees of PT Surveyor Indonesia Palembang Branch with 49 respondents. Research respondents are all employees except the leadership level. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results of this study revealed that the quality of work life and work climate affect work satisfaction, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on work loyalty, quality of work life and work climate have a positive and significant effect on work loyalty.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh tingkat pengembangan sumber daya manusia terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. Duta Media Indonesia Cabang Palembang. Kinerja karyawan merupakan suatu hasil kerja yang dicapai seorang karyawan dalam kemampuan melaksanakan tugas-tugas sesuai dengan tanggung jawab yang diberikan. Data penelitian inidiperoleh dari kuisioner (primer) dan wawancara secara langsung dengan pihak yang terkait. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel pengembangan sumber daya manusia yang terdiri dari bahan pelatihan, model komunikasi, lama pelatihan, media pelatihan secara bersama-sama (simultan- uji F) memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap variabel kinerja karyawan. Berdasarkan uji-T variabel bahan pelatihan, tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, variabel model komunikasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, lama pelatihan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel kinerja karyawan dan variabel media pelatihan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh nilai Adjusted R Square sebesar 0,0882, hal tersebut berarti bahwa 88,2 % variabel kinerja karyawan dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel independennya yaitu bahan pelatihan, model komunikasi, lama pelatihan, dan media pelatihan. Sedangkan sisanya sebesar 11,8 % dijelaskan oleh variabel-variabel lain diluar penelitian ini.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the financial ratios have a Significant influence on the Working Capital of the Company and To Know the Working Capital of the Company Has a Significant Effect on the Company's financial ratios at PT.Kimia Farma (Persero) The level of liquidity ratios at PT. Kimia (Persero) tbk is very high. This is because the company's Current Ratio has reached more than 500% and continues to increase from year to year. This Current Ratio increased due to an increase in current assets although current debts also increased in 2011 but were offset by an increase in current assets which was quite high. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of financial compensation on work motivation of Mie Celor H.M. employees Syafei Palembang. To create work motivation, it is certainly necessary to provide a driving force to create one's work enthusiasm so as to achieve high morale. There are many factors that affect employee work motivation, including financial compensation in accordance with the work that has been done. In this study, the financial compensation variable is an independent variable and work motivation as the dependent variable. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews, questionnaires, and literature study. The questionnaire submitted refers to the Likert scale. The data instrument test was carried out with the Data Validity Test with the results of all question items being declared valid and the Reliability Test with the results of all question items being Reliable. Hypothesis testing uses simple regression analysis through the t-test, with a view to knowing the effect of the independent variable on the 95% dependent variable (a = 0.05). T-test (partially) on the variable of financial compensation (X) obtained tcount (3.840) ˃ ttable (2.060), based on hypothesis testing means that work motivation (Y) is influenced by financial compensation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of distribution channels and discrimination price to the volume of sales at PT. Presol Indo Prima Palembang. The study was conducted by questionnaire which contains the revelation open to al l agents of the distribution system and price the data distribution obtained 52 respondents. Data analyzing using multiple regression analysis with SPSS version17. The results showed that the distribution channel and discrimination price significantly affect the sales volume amounted to (97.4%) and (86,4%) Thus, it can be concluded that there is significant influence and positive relationship between the distribution channels and discrimination price to the volume of sales at PT. Presol Indo Prima Palembang.

Abstract

The author chose the Palembang branch bank BTPN as a place for data collection on the grounds that currently the banking world has its own attraction to be studied and understood because banks play an important role in economic growth and development in the world including in Indonesia. The author gained knowledge about the recruitment procedures, the implementation of the selection and placement of employees and the constraints in the recruitment procedure for the case study of the Bank's Palembang branch office. As for one of the obstacles in the recruitment procedure of labor such as the incompatibility of the job position given and the applicant, it is better for the BTPN Palembang branch office before assigning tasks and work to workers who pass the selection must be based on the specified job / position specifications, namely position the employee according to the job position being applied for, the skill level and the educational background of the employee. So this can help employees in completing their tasks and responsibilities as well as the achievement of the smooth activities and objectives of the company.
