Abstract

Social studies learning process has not been implemented optimally. The application of the Outbound variation of the Outdoor Learning method as a solution to this problem . The instrument used was an observation sheet for student creativity and collaboration. The implementation of learning using an outdoor learning strategy with outbound variations is carried out optimally with very good criteria. The application of this method is carried out by inviting students to study outside the classroom (out door learning) to increase student creativity and collaboration in a pleasant learning atmosphere. The outdoor learning approach (outdoor learning) of outbound variations for children is very useful, it is a learning program (training) for children carried out in the open based on the principle of "experimental learning" (learning through direct experience) which is presented in the form of games, stimulus, discussion and adventure as a medium for delivering material. This outbound learning aims to overcome the problems of children who lack motivation in learning activities, improve children's self-competence, develop abilities and creative ideas. The 21st century learning model includes: first, learning is directed at encouraging students to find out from various sources, not being told. Second, learning is directed to be able to formulate problems or ask questions, not just solve problems or answer. Third, learning is directed at training analytical thinking, as in the case of the decision-making process, not mechanistic and routine thinking. Fourth, learning emphasizes the importance of cooperation and collaboration in solving problems.

However, several surveys state that the motivation of students in learning is still low, therefore there is a need for a change that makes learning more interesting and increases the motivation and critical thinking of students. Innovation in the field of education continues to be carried out by the government to support the times. Many things can be developed in the learning innovation process, including from the aspect of educators, students, learning resources, and educational units. One of them is a cooperative learning model that can be developed in the Think Pair Share (TPS) type of learning process. The learning model is an effective way to create variations in the atmosphere of class discussion patterns. Think Pair Share (TPS) of exchange ideas with a partner is a type of cooperative learning designed to influence student interaction pattern. Abstract

This research is motivated by observational data which shows that the results of observations and the acquisition of social studies learning outcomes are low. Student creativity in social studies learning is channeled as it should be. The average value of social studies learning outcomes has not reached the KKM. One of the efforts to overcome this is by applying a problem-based learning model. This study aims to determine the application of the Project-Based Learning model in increasing creativity and learning outcomes of social studies lessons for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Melikan. The methodology used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects were 11 students from the fourth-level SD Negeri Melikan. Data were collected utilizing observation, document analysis, and tests. The data analysis used is a descriptive analysis technique with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research process is carried out in two cycles and each cycle includes four stages, namely 1) planning, 2) implementation, 3) observation, and 4) reflection. The results show that creativity and learning outcomes can be increased through the Project-Based Learning model. Students with creativity good category from pre-cycle 5 students (45.45%) to 7 students (63.63%) in the first cycle and 10 students (90.9%) in the second cycle. Social studies learning outcomes increased from the average an average of 68.64 in the pre-cycle to an average of 74.54 in the first cycle and an average of 80.9 in the second cycle. This study concludes that the application of the Project-Based Learning Model can improve creativity and learning outcomes for social studies lessons for grade IV at SDN Melikan Rongkop Gunungkidul in the 2021/2022 academic year.
