Abstract

This study discusses the Islamic banking industry, especially in Muslim countries, especially in Indonesia in order to improve the quality of Islamic banks by using an expert system. The use of expert systems in Islamic banks is a new thing so that it can be an innovation and a positive impact on the quality of Islamic banks. The development of Islamic banks is increasing along with the community's need for products, systems and services from Islamic banks, especially expert systems. An expert system is an information system from the knowledge of an expert that is used to assist non-experts in a particular field. Expert systems that can be used in Islamic banking such as the Decision Support System (DSS). Expert systems are useful for making decisions accurately and quickly compared to conventional systems. Expert systems in Islamic banking are new and have not been implemented. This refers to several conventional banks that use expert systems in their operations. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach and descriptive method with data collection techniques and data analysis techniques. The use of expert systems in banking greatly affects the level of efficiency of the information systems used, such as supporting decision-making to improve information systems in Islamic banks. Therefore, the use of expert systems in Islamic banking needs to be developed to improve the quality of transactions and reduce the error rate in the existing information systems in Islamic banking.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine whether environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosures have an effect on reducing information asymmetry between managers and stock market participants. This study tries to provide a comprehensive analysis of the company's ESG disclosure strategy. The data used in this study were collected from companies listed on the ESG Sector Leaders BEI KEHATI (ESGSKEHATI) and ESG Quality 45 IDX KEHATI (ESGQKEHATI). The findings show that ESG disclosure reduces stock market asymmetry. From these results, ESG disclosure strengthens the informativeness of environmental disclosures for the stock market. Stakeholders must assess and maintain an increased flow of information, a more efficient disclosure strategy becomes essential if companies are to convey a true picture of their ESG performance. The concept of company development in increasing ESG can be done through maintaining the surrounding environment, sustainable development, and establishing governance. The role of the company is also important, for example by maintaining good relations with employees, suppliers, consumers, shareholders, and various organizations or individuals who interact with the company.

Abstract

The marriage taboo in the rural community of Purbalingga and Banyumas illustrates the phenomenon of socio-cultural plurality which is based on socio-political legitimacy. The emergence of marriage taboos is caused by social conflicts as the manifestation of incest marriage, social rivalry, and legitimacy battle. In those conflicts, the communities of Onje, Banjaranyar, and Raden Kaligenteng are the troublemakers. In addition, the communities of Sambeng Kulon, Sambeng Wetan, Jompo Kulon, and Jompo Wetan can also be categorized as the troublemakers since they are involved in the internal conflict which made them separated into parts. Those marriage taboos indicate something that can be understood as the shift of cosmos into chaos. The chaotic situation, however, is more dominant because the shift has not resulted in a new cosmos so that it is always in the liminal or threshold position. The position can be explained clearly in terms of relative binary opposition featuring a third party which takes the liminal position.

Abstract

One of the bacterial diseases that often attack freshwater fish is the red-sore disease, also known as aeromoniasis or Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS). It is caused by bacteria from Aeromonas genus, such as Aeromonas hydrophila. A safe alternative treatment for pathogenic bacteria is the use of antibacterial compounds made from natural ingredients. The Excoecaria agallocha mangrove extract is one of potential alternatives that is useful as natural antimicrobials due to its various contents of antibacterial bioactive compounds. The objective of this study was to determine the antimicrobial activity of E. agallocha mangrove extract in inhibiting the growth of A. hydrophila. The research method was experimental with complete randomized design and factorial pattern of 3 factors (type of plant organ, bacterial strain, and concentration of extract), in 48 treatments and 3 replications. The solvents used consisted of methanol (polar) and n-hexane (non-polar). The plant organs used included leaves and stems. The bacterial strains consisted of GPl-04, GB-01, GL-01, GL-02, GJ-01, and GK-01 with concentrations of leaves and stems extracts of 0, 10, 20, and 30%. The parameter measured was the diameter of inhibition zone, which was done by using disc paper (Kirby Bauer method). Non-parametric Kruskall-Wallis Test and qualitative-descriptive data analysis were applied. The methanol extract of E. agallocha leaves in GJ-01 strain at 10 and 20% concentrations had antimicrobial activity with inhibition zone in 2.55 mm and 2.46 mm, respectively. The n-hexane extract of E. agallocha stem at 20 and 30% concentrations had antimicrobial activity with inhibition zones of 1.88 mm in GPl-04 strain and 1.58 mm in GB-01 strain, respectively. Extract of E. agallocha mangrove exhibited potential as a natural antibacterial to prevent aeromoniasis in fish.

Abstract

To meet the needs of fish consumption for the community, African catfish are cultivated intensively. African catfish cultivation is carried out intensively with high stocking density, but some disadvantages inhibit growth. To support growth, it is done by giving a combination of fucoidan supplements with turmeric. Fucoidan and turmeric are known to increase fish growth, but there are no reports of using a combination of fucoidan and turmeric given in feed to increase fish growth. Therefore, this study wants to determine the effect of fucoidan supplementation with turmeric on the growth of African catfish. The method used was a completely randomized design with treatment B: (400 mg fucoidan + 1350 mg turmeric extract) kg-1 feed, C: (800 mg fucoidan + 1200 mg turmeric extract) kg-1 feed, D: (1200 mg fucoidan + 1050 mg of turmeric extract) kg-1 of feed and control (A), each with 4 replications. The parameters observed were weight and length gain, survival growth rate (SGR), feed conversion rate (FCR), and feed efficiency (FE). Data were analysed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) at the 95% confidence level and continued with Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the combination of fucoidan supplementation with turmeric significantly increased (p <0.05) weight and length growth, SGR, FCR, and FE. The addition of fucoidan supplements with turmeric can be used to cultivate African catfish with an optimal dose (1200 mg fucoidan + 1050 mg turmeric extract) kg-1 feed.

Abstract

Examining the existence of traditional leadership can reveal a cultural bias related to irrational human actions related to supernatural beings, which are goal-oriented to meet the needs of their members. The cult of Eyang Banokeling is so strong in the Banokeling indigenous community, although Eyang Banokeling has long since died but the spirits that reside in the sacred burial placed in the Kedaton area are still strongly felt today, the Kedaton area is also a center of transcendental communication of the successor kuncens who are related to the spirits of Eyang Banokeling in fulfilling all the celebrations of this indigenous community, as well as the existence of Kyai Kuncen as a liaison for the spirits of Eyang Banokeling as well as the presence of The Banokeling Spirits as well as the presence of Kyai Kuncen as a liaison for the spirits of Eyang Banokeling as well as the liaison of the spirits of Eyang Banokeling as well as as indigenous leaders means a lot in this indigenous community. This study will try to examine the meaning of transcendental communication carried out by Kyai Kuncen for the indigenous people of Banokeling. The research was conducted with a qualitative approach using the case study method, which focuses attention on one particular object raised as a case. In the case study method, facts are achieved through the assessment of the connectedness of evidence from several data sources at once, namely documents, recordings, observations, open interviews, focused interviews, structured interviews and field surveys, so that the true meaning of Kyai Kuncen's transcendental communication function with the spirit of Eyang Banokeling is revealed for the Banokeling Indigenous Community.

Abstract

The planga-plongo leader is a leader who does not know how to solve problems. The reason is that he did not get enough experience in various levels of leadership. This article aims to describe the leadership journey program that is expected to be able to overcome the planga-plongo attitude. The research using a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods was carried out by students of VI Class Madrasah Ibtida'iyah Muhammadiyah Patikraja, Banyumas, Central Java. The school permitted final grade students out of town on the eve of school graduation. They have the freedom to determine the city to which they were going. The results showed that, using information technology, they made preparations independently, including choosing the mode of transportation, booking tickets, determining local transportation, and various accommodations to be used. This leadership training provides a stimulus for children to be brave, honest, polite, fast and precise in making decisions. Various experiences of making decisions like this cause children to be unflinching when making decisions. It is recommended that building an anti-planga-plongo character is not only carried out during the implementation of the leadership journey, but also previous training with relevant activities.

Abstract

The existence of the community cannot be separated from the natural environment, where they have lived for generations. Through a long process of adaptation to the natural environment, people really understand their ecological environment, so they treat their ecological environment intelligently. The universe is not only a source of exploitation, but as a common house that is continuously protected, cared for and arranged. The natural environment they live in is sometimes considered to be unusual and dangerous, but in reality, these communities do not feel worried because they live modestly with their natural environment. Ecological intelligence forges humans to organize their emotions, thoughts and actions in responding to the universe. Ecological intelligence is expressed in the form of real attitudes and behaviors that take into account ecological capacities, and give birth to a wise human attitude towards nature. Basically, case study research focuses attention on one particular object that is appointed as a case to be studied in depth so that it is able to uncover the reality behind the phenomenon. As is the case in the traditional wisdom of the people of Ujunggagak Village, Kampunglaut District, Cilacap Regency, Central Java which is formed from many activities, components or units that are interrelated and form certain functions. The case study method in this research is very appropriate to be able to uncover the mistigation of tidal flooding in Ujunggagak Village. The focus of case studies is the specification of cases in an event, including individuals, cultural groups or portraits of life, so that they can reveal forms of local wisdom that have the value of tidal flood disaster mitigation and freshwater crises.

Abstract

In this age of globalization, it has been noticed that there is a multifaceted crisis initially brought on by a moral crisis in our country. As a result, it is urgent to find ways to instill morals (akhlak) in students, youth, and university students so that they can become trustworthy citizens of their community and country in the future. The national character education is very much in accordance with noble moral education. Akhlak to Allah means refraining from idolatry and worshiping deities other than Him. Akhlak to Prophet of God includes loving and glorifying, following and obeying, and reciting shalawat and salam on him. Akhlak to parents includes serving both parents well, speaking gently, respecting them, expressing gratitude for their kindness, being devout children, and praying for them.
