Abstract

The teacher must refresh his understanding of incorporating HOTS into their teaching reading methods. When teaching reading in the classroom, the teacher always has challenges with the teaching process to students. The teacher has been working under very difficult situations with the student, limited teaching materials, and unanticipated student attendance. The purpose of this research are to describe the application of HOTS, identify the challenges faced by the teacher, and how does the teacher solve the challenges in the application of HOTS in teaching reading at SMAN 7 Kediri. In this research, the writer used the qualitative research design to collect data. The research was done in a day using observation by taking video and interview. The findings of this research are as follows: (1) the application of HOTS in teaching reading by starting from involvement of students in thinking or questioning with the teacher after the reading process. Then talk and share ideas with friends in a group discussion before writing. (2) the challenges faced by the teacher are limited vocabulary, time, materials, and lack of motivation by the student (3) the teacher should explore various resources such as textbooks, online platforms, or libraries. The writer suggests that the teacher should study about different method and other ways that can solve the problem in teaching reading. For that reason, it can be useful for every teacher after reading explanations about the application of HOTS and ways to solve the problem while teaching reading in the class.

Abstract

Kemampuan Problem Solving yang baik akan berdampak secara efektif untuk kemampuan logicalnya apabila anak mengalami kendala. Untuk menstimulasi kemampuan problem solving anak salah satunya dapat dilakukan dengan permainan Unplugged coding. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah Unplugged Coding berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampuan problem solving pada anak usia 6-7 tahun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimen kuantitatif dengan desain one group. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 21 anak usia 6-7 tahun di BA Aisyiyah Pagentan. Penelitian di lakukan selama 5 minggu, penilian dilakukan menggunakan uji pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur kemampuan problem solving anak. Hasil dari analisis data yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan sebelum dan sesudah dilakukannya treatment sebanyak 88,81% sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan problem solving anak setelah mengikuti kegiatan unplugged coding. Terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan mengidentifikasi masalah, merumuskan strategi penyelesaian, dan menerapkan solusi yang efektif. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya memperkenalkan konsep pemrograman pada usia dini melalui metode yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Pengembangan pendekatan pembelajaran yang melibatkan Unplugged Coding dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan problem solving dan kognitif bagi anak usia dini.

Abstract

Fakta menunjukkan jumlah penduduk miskin di dunia belum mampu teratasi meskipun adanya pembangunan yang dilakukan khususnya di negara-negara berkembang. Istilah kemiskinan muncul ketika seseorang atau sekelompok orang tidak mampu mencukupi tingkat kemakmuran ekonomi yang dianggap sebagai kebutuhan minimal dari standar hidup tertentu. Kemiskinan menyebabkan keterbelakangan Pendidikan khususnya di warakas. Tujuan penelitian kami mengetahui faktor keterbelakangan Pendidikan yang terjadi. Metode yang kami gunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah deskriptif-kualitatif suatu metode yang mengamati, menganalis dan menggambarkan keterbelakangan pendidikan anak yang didasari dengan pendapatan rendah yang dimiliki orang tuanya untuk kemudian dilakukan eksplorasi data. Berdasarkan pendekatan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, data dan informasi yang diperoleh selanjutnya diorganisir dan dianalisis untuk mendapatkan gambaran terkait dengan sasaran penelitian. Hasil yang di dapatkan ini menjukan bahwa keterbelakangan Pendidikan di warakas bukan hanya karna Pendidikan, melainkan karna pengaruh dari lingkungan yang ada.

Abstract

Listening is the first skill and basic ability in learning a new language that beginners have to learn. In this era, technology is getting better and students’ can easy to learning English. Researcher use the most popular music platform that can be applied in teaching listening, named Spotify. The researcher used quantitative research, and the research was conducted at MAN 1 Kota Kediri. The sample was X IPS 1 class that consists of 36 students. The students were given pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The treatment was conducted once in order to know whether is an significant effect of using on viral playlist at Spotify in teaching listening skill. The data result got from students’ score of pre-test and post-test that analyzed using t-test formula. The researcher uses SPSS version 20.0. The data result shows that t-score is higher than t-table in the level significant of 5%. The mean score of pre-test is 72,86 with the total score 2.687 and mean score of post-test is 83,92 with the total score 3.109. The result of the research shows that there is any significant effect of using the treatment, it is proven by the different score between pre-test and post-test.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether there is a correlation between students' EPT scores and their speaking abilities, using the grades of the 5th semester speaking course on students' study result cards or KHS in the English Language Education Study Program at a private university in Purwokerto. The population of this study were 35 students who had been selected based on students who had taken the Speaking in Academic Communication course and had taken the English Proficiency Test. This study was quantitative with data collection using documents and the instrument was human instrument. Based on the analysis, it was found that the correlation value is 0.196. Therefore, there is no significant correlation between students' EPT scores and their speaking.

Abstract

Pembelajaran interaktif adalah pembelajaran yang mampu menghadirkan atau menunjukan sesuatu yang lebih relevan dengan perkembangan teknologi saat ini sehingga mampu menjadikan media pembelajaran yang interaktif untuk menghasilkan pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk memberikan kemudahan meningkatkan pemahaman spasial siswa dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran google earth. Penggunaan media interaktif google earth merupakan tindakan yang inovatif karena mampu meningkatkan pemahaman spasial dalam pembelajaran dan kemudahan fitur aplikasi dan menyediakan representasi tiga dimensi. Google earth merupakan aplikasi yang bisa di manfaatkan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman spasial dengan mampu memahami dan mengelola informasi yang berhubungan dengan ruang dan posisi dalam kemampuan menginterpretasi lingkungan sekitar. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitafif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Adapun sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman spasial siswa terhadap penggunaan media interaktif google earth dengan kemampuan awal rata-rata 51,71 sedangkan kemampuan akhir rata-rata 80,57.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Pancasila education learning in shaping digital literacy among young citizens, specifically 10th-grade students in high schools in Banyumas Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The population for this study consists of 10th-gradestudents from SMA 1 Ajibarang, SMA 2 Purwokerto, SMA IT Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Purwokerto, and SMA Muhammadiyah Boarding School Ajibarang. The sample size is 99 students, determined through quota sampling.Data collection techniques used in this research include questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive data analysis. This research indicates a positive and significant effect ofPancasila education learning in shaping digital literacy among young citizens, specifically 10th-grade students inhigh schools in the Banyumas Regency. The influence of the Pancasila education learning variable in shaping digital literacy among young citizens, specifically 10th-grade students in high schools in Banyumas Regency, is 0.234. This can be interpreted as Pancasila education learning contributes approximately 23.4% to digital literacy,while the remaining 76.6% is influenced by other factors not examined in this research.

Abstract

This study aims to identify any kinds of politeness strategies used by teenagers in Stranger Things movie and also to describe the factors influencing the teenage characters’ choice of politeness strategies in Stranger Things movie. The writer uses a descriptive qualitative method to explain the data and follows the theory of Brown and Levinson (1987) to answer the statement of the problem. This study found 38 data in total consisting of 6 bald on record, 25 positive politeness, 4 negative politeness, and 3 off-record. Other than that, there are also 22 data that are influenced by social distance, 4 data that are influenced by relative power, and 12 data that are influenced by rank of imposition. The result of this study shows that teenage characters tend to use positive politeness strategies when they communicate with other people. Moreover, social distance is the most the factor that influences teenage characters to use politeness strategies. It can be concluded that the typical teenagers in Stranger Things movie are easy to get along with because they try to make themselves close with the interlocutor when they have a conversation, and they know how to socialize well by understanding and appreciating people’s opinions.

Abstract

The ability of English speaking skills at SMK PGRI 4 Kediri can still be said to be low, they need to learn a lot more about speaking, the researcher wants to apply the learning media, namely YouTube to students' speaking skills, whether there will be changes in their skills later. Therefore, researchers wanted to do this research aims to know there are any significant differences or not after give the learning media, namely YouTube in students’ speaking skills in Eleventh Grade SMK PGRI 4 Kediri. This research questions are: 1) How are students' speaking skills before being given YouTube videos?, and 2) How significance is the effect after being taught using YouTube? The subject of this research is eleventh grade TKRO 2 in SMK PGRI 4 Kediri which consist 25 students. This research used a quantitative method and used a pretest and posttest data collection. Then, the researcher analyzed the data by paired t-test in SPSS. The result of research showed significant increasing in the effect of YouTube. The T-Test had been found 25.067>-1.350, so tcount > ttable, then the score of pretest and posttest any significant increase, namely from 41,60 to 65,60. So the researcher concluded if YouTube is worth it to apply in students learning in speaking.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran guru pada penanaman karakter yang terdapat dalam Profil Pelajar Pancasila di SD UMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan pada bulan Juli hingga awal Agustus 2023. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 1 orang kepala sekolah, 1 orang guru kelas dan 5 orang peserta didik SD UMP. Instrumen penelitian kualitatif adalah peneliti itu sendiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Jenis wawancara yang dilakukan adalah jenis wawancara semi terstruktur dalam bentuk pedoman wawancara. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus dari hasil penelitian di lapangan dalam bentuk narasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran guru sebagai model, perencana, peramal, pemimpin dan petunjuk jalan ke arah pembelajaran dalam penanaman dimensi karakter Profil Pelajar Pancasila. di SD UMP. Profil Pelajar Pancasila terdapat 6 dimensi yakni beriman, bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa dan berakhlaq mulia, berkebhinekaan global, bergotong royong, mandiri, bernalar kritis dan kreatif. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan berbagai metode yang telah dilakukan seperti mengingatkan sholat tepat waktu, menyediakan poster kebudayaan di Indonesia, membuat jadwal piket, menyediakan katering makan siang, membuat modul ajar dengan metode Problem Based Learning dan Project Based Learning. Guru juga menjalin hubungan yang erat dengan orangtua guna mendukung berjalannya penanaman karakter dalam diri peserta didik. Peserta didik yang memiliki ke-enam dimensi karakter Profil Pelajar Pancasila dapat mengaplikasikannya di lingkungan sekolah maupun di lingkungan masyarakat.
