Abstract

This research aims to improve the identification of issues in plywood production at CV. Karya Purabaya. The inefficient production process leads to production times not meeting the standards, causing the company to often fail to fulfill orders on time. To implement improvements, the company needs to examine the production system comprehensively to pinpoint the issues in the production process. Value Stream Mapping (VSM) analysis, which is one of the Lean Manufacturing methods, is used to identify wasteful practices in the plywood production system. In identifying wasteful practices, Value Stream Analysis Tools (VALSAT) is utilized to identify connections and relationships between different wasteful practices. Waste Assessment Questionnaire (WAQ) is used to identify the most dominant waste, and Fishbone Diagram is employed to determine the root causes of the waste. Based on the results from the WAQ calculations, it was found that the most dominant waste is Overproduction with a percentage of 22.43%, followed by Inventory with a percentage of 20.40%. Furthermore, the WRM calculations reveal that inappropriate processing has a high percentage of 20.3%, and the value to Inventory has the highest percentage of 21.0%. The proposed improvements to minimize the most dominant waste at CV. Karya Purabaya include balancing the production process flow by implementing line balancing with an efficiency rate of 73,85%, conducting regular machine maintenance, making accurate planning and forecasting, and reducing defect.

Abstract

The implementation of monitoring the performance parameters of the PLTS system in several regions is still done manually so that the data obtained is also limited. In this study the PLTS monitoring system is based on Arduino Uno so that monitoring on PLTS can be monitored with telegram media. The monitoring system has two inputs, namely for PV and for the battery. To monitor the value of the electrical energy parameter, the INA219 sensor is used. The sensor reading results are displayed on the 16x2 LCD and mobile phone by sending the "STATUS" message command to the ESP8266 wifi module. Retrieval of current and voltage data on INA219 sensor readings and standard measuring instruments is carried out every 5 minutes. The system can monitor via an Android smartphone using Telegram. The test results show that the Telegram application can display and monitor photovoltaic and batteries in real time. The average error during sensor monitoring at photovoltaic output is 0.16% for voltage and 1.25% for current. The sensor reading results have an average error when charging the battery of 1.36% for voltage and 2.04% for current. The characteristics of the results of this measurement meet the requirements of IEC standard no. 13B-23.

Abstract

Robotics technology is currently developing rapidly and has become one of the sophistications that are relied upon by every country, one of which is Indonesia. One of the activities for the development of robotics technology in Indonesia is the Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI). KRI was held as an event for students' creativity in designing robots. One of the divisions contested at KRI is the Indonesian Search and Rescue Robot Contest (KRSRI) division. In the KRSRI division, it is required to make a legged robot that can navigate the motion of walking in the competition area and pass obstacles on the track. Of course, a navigation motion control system is needed that can regulate the movement of the legged robot's steps properly, so that the robot can pass the path in the arena. In this study, the answer to this problem is the application of legged robot navigation motion control using the Fuzzy Logic-PID method. The Fuzzy Logic-PID method is a combination of two methods between the Fuzzy Logic Controller method and the Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control method. The Fuzzy method’s role is to produce constant values ??P, I, and D based on the error value and the incoming error delta. Furthermore, the resulting constant value is used in the calculation of the PID control. From the experimental data, the Fuzzy method has been able to produce a PID constant value and the PID method can also be applied to regulate the robot's motion steps. The test results on trials using obstacles and without obstacles were successful, except for uphill obstacles with a success percentage of 60% successfully passing incline obstacles and 40% failing to pass uphill obstacles.

Abstract

Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto has numerous buildings, including the rectorate and the 55.27-meter-tall K.H. A.R. Fachruddin building, that could be struck by lightning and as a result, it require an efficient lightning arrester system (SPP). This study aims to evaluate the building's lightning safety level in compliance with SNI 03-7015-2004, the General Regulations for Lightning Protection Installation (PUIPP), and the building's lightning arrester system's state. Direct measurements of building structures, lightning arrester system components, lightning arrester conditions, and soil resistance are employed to collect research data using the observational approach. The study calculates the degree of protection in structures in accordance with the General Regulations for Lightning Protection Installation (PUIPP) standards and determines the value of the protection range using SNI 03-7015-2004. Both the KH AR Fachruddin building and the rectorate building have an R index of 14, which means that they both desperately need an efficient lightning arrester. The Rector building's system is only 75% effective, compared to 91% in the KH AR Fachruddin building.

Abstract

The firebase platform is one of the Io-T services created by google. This platform uses real-time internet-based communication. In principle, data is stored in one database and can be read by several devices simultaneously with certain conditions. Flood is a disaster that generally affects certain areas or areas caused by the overflow of river water that passes through the area. By reading the condition of the river water level at the overflow point for that area, the data can be used as a reference as a warning for potentially affected areas. Ultrasonic sensor with esp8266 microprocessor can be used as a data collector, and by applying the calculation of the speed of level change over time it can provide an estimate of the potential for flooding and the time. The data sent from this sensor is sent to the database as the main data. Every area that might be affected is installed with an esp8266 microprocessor and an audio player module as a warning of the possibility of a flood disaster. The microprocessor installed in this area is given access to read the main data continuously so that it can provide accurate information as quickly as possible.

Abstract

Recently, maintaining ornamental fish has become a hobby in society, from the lower classes to the upper classes. Draining and filling water in the existing aquarium is still done manually. Many people like to keep fish confused if they travel far. No one may maintain fish properly. So, worrying about regular water changes. An important factor in keeping fish is the level of turbidity of the water. The turbidity level of water that can be tolerated by warm water fish is 25NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Unit). So based on the above considerations, the researcher tried to submit a research proposal with the title "Design of Automatic Water Change Based on Water Turbidity in Aquariums with the Application of Android-Based Internet of Things (IoT). The developed system is expected to be able to maintain the level of water turbidity and replace water automatically in the aquarium so that it can increase the life expectancy of fish. The results of this study are that this system can effectively reduce the turbidity value of water in the aquarium. After being tested 10 times the system can keep the water turbidity level below the value that can be tolerated by warm water fish (25NTU).

Abstract

Monitoring and evaluating the performance of lecturers at the Faculty of Engineering, Tamansiswa Bachelor Wiyata University, the system that has been running has experienced many problems with the increasing number of active students and limited human resources. The evaluation of the learning questionnaire is filled out through the Google Form and the lecturer's data performance is processed using software such as Microsoft Office Excel or the like. In this study the aim was to produce a system that could support learning monitoring and evaluation activities in measuring the level of lecturer performance. The system is needed to process data as a tool to input and report on monitoring and evaluating lecturer performance. The method applied is the Multi Factor Evaluation Process (MFEP) using four criteria, namely pedagogic, professional, personality and social competence. Based on the results of the tests that have been carried out, the lecturer performance monitoring and evaluation system can provide decisions in the form of lecturer performance levels. The system can be used at several user levels, namely faculty academics, heads of study programs and Gugus Mutu Prodi (GMP) in assessing or measuring lecturer performance.

Abstract

There was a lot of damage to road equipment facilities that were no longer functioning. There are public complaints about the condition of damaged roads which seem to be ignored because of the unavailability of effective facilities for the community and government in dealing with the problem. The need for online media to submit reports and public complaints against road equipment facilities. The development of this application is based on a website about road inventory damage complaint services. The resulting features are in the form of a menu of road equipment explanations and complaint forms accessed by users. For admins can access the feature of registering incoming reports and responding to complaints. Designed using research methods (Extreme Programming) with stages of planning, design, coding, and testing. The benefit of this application is that it makes it easier for the public to report damage to road inventory and helps stakeholders in knowing road information.

Abstract

Many roads suffer potentially harmful damage to road users. The slow pace of road repair and limited surveillance are constraints to create a road that is safe for the user. The APZARD application is a service of road damage between people and governments so that a faulty road can be found and repaired quickly. The research method used is the waterfall method with the steps of analysis, design, code and test. Results from the study indicate that the application could be run and used by the public to file road damage received by admin and then proceed to road repair. The APZARD application helps the government watch over the damaged roads and follows up complaints from road related damages.

Abstract

High school students understanding of road safety regulations is still lacking causing traffic violations to increase among teenagers. This is due to the lack of road safety learning media. The android-based road safety action awareness application (SIAR SENJA) was built using app inventor software to increase understanding of road safety. SIAR SENJA application development uses the agile development method consisting of ideas, planning, development and evaluation. The SIAR SENJA application helps high school students understand road safety and be aware of the hazards involved, so that they can become pioneers of road safety in everyday life. SIAR SENJA application development can be done by adding animated video features and improving the display quality of the application.
