Jurnal Ilmiah Perlindungan dan Pemberdayaan Sosial (Lindayasos) is a scholarly refereed journal to expand knowledge and promote the fields of social work, social welfare, and community development. Its major focus is on the development of social work as well as social welfare and community development issues. It aims is to explore the social work theory and practice at the micro, mezzo, and macro level. The journal wants to support the publication to embodies the aspirations and conceptual thinking of the various local, national, and international studies in the context of social work, social welfare, and community development. Jurnal Ilmiah Perlindungan dan Pemberdayaan Sosial (Lindayasos) publish twice a year in June and December. The review process in this journal employs a double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.

Abstract

Dropout is a condition where students cannot complete their learning program before the time is over or students do not finish their study program. However, the number of dropout cases can result in the low education of a nation and will affect the Human Development Index (HDI) ranking or the human development index. This study aims to identify and explain what factors cause children to drop out of school. The factors that influence children dropping out of school according to Baharuddin (1982), Dalyono (2008) and Johnston and Rivera (in Beder, 1990) are: Internal factors consisting of: a). Intelligence; b). Motivation; c). Level of Awareness; d). Dislike School. And external factors consisting of economics, school factors, and socio-cultural (society). There were 9 informants in this study. Three children drop out of school, Three parents drop out of school, Two teachers, One principal. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results showed that of the four internal factors that caused children or students to drop out of school, the most dominant factor was the factor of not liking school because they felt ostracized by their friends, making them uncomfortable in the school environment. Meanwhile, of the three external factors related to the cause of children or students dropping out of school, the school factor. The results of the analysis of problems and needs need attention from the government, schools and parents in developing children's abilities through formal education.

Abstract

Global and national economic challenges require various sectors of the economy to prepare including the tourism sector. Based on data from Bappenas which states the target of tourism villages in the 2020-2024 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) is 244 villages.. It’s in line with the Direction of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia regarding Tourism and Creative Economy in 2021. The development of this tourism village requires the role of the community, which means that the community is not only a resident of tourist objects, but also a tourist actor, because the sustainability of the tourist village depends on tourist visits. This study is conducted to analyze the relationship between the promotional behavior capacity of local people as internal actors and the relationship between the role of actors and tourist visits. The research was conducted in Cinunuk Tourism Village with a quantitative approach and supported by qualitative data. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the capacity of promotional behavior and the role of internal actors and also a significant relationship between the role of actors both internal and external with tourist visits. For this reason, efforts are needed to maximize the potential of existing promotional activities.

Abstract

Creativity is the potential of all people who do not need special talents and abilities, generally people actually lose creativity because of the cultivation process including formal education that promotes creativity and provides a gap in society that only educated people can be seen, listened to and respected, this is the same thing that makes coastal communities rarely seen. And the processing of marine fishery resources is a form of embodiment of creativity, this research was raised with the title "The relationship between creativity in processing marine fishery resources and the fulfillment of the basic needs of coastal women". The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe how the creativity of coastal women in processing marine fishery resources, to analyze and describe how the basic needs of coastal women are, to analyze and describe how the relationship between creativity in processing marine fishery resources and the fulfillment of the basic needs of coastal women in bunko lor village, Cirebon regency. The methods used are quantitative approaches with descriptive analysis, data collection techniques, namely by non-participant observations, literature studies and filling out questionnaires, the population in this study is coastal women in bunko lor village who have a fishery processing business totaling 30 respondents. The sampling technique uses probability sampling, Area random sampling type. For analysis techniques and hypothesis testing using spearman rank correlation test. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between creativity in processing marine fishery resources and meeting the basic needs of coastal women in Bungko Lor Village, Cirebon Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an empirical description of: 1) the characteristics of disaster-prone rural communities, 2) ways to provide understanding and awareness to the community about disaster hazards and risks, 3) organizing communities to be trained in disaster preparedness, and 4) preparation of local early warning systems. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method which is intended to describe how the implementation of the Kampung Siaga Bencana (KSB) program works. Data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Determination of informants was carried out using purposive sampling, namely informants were selected according to predetermined criteria, so that 2 (two) KSB administrators were obtained, 1 (one) Wlahar village apparatus, 1 (one) Wlahar village community figure, and 1 (one) Cilacap Regency Social Service. The results showed that the implementation of the KSB program in Wlahar Village, Adipala District, Cilacap Regency had been carried out. However, these programs have not been implemented optimally due to the lack of active village disaster preparedness institutions (KSB) in Wlahar Village. The characteristics of disaster-prone village communities related to threats, vulnerabilities, and capacities have been identified, but the level of community understanding of disaster hazards and risks is still lacking, because the KSB method of providing education is less varied. Community organizing is still not optimal. Local early warning system preparations have been carried out.

Abstract

Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan Toll Road or Cisumdawu Toll Road is one of the infrastructures that built to facilitate community mobility as a liaison between regions in West Java. The existence of infrastructure construction is inseparable from the social impact felt by the community around the construction area. This study aims to obtain an empirical description of social impact to Sumedang Nitizen from building Cisumdawu Toll Road. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling technique with 80 respondents. Data collection techniques used are questionnaire and documentation studies. Validity test using face validity and reliability test using Alpha Cronbach with SPSS’ help. The measuring instrument used in the research questionnaire uses Likert scale. The results of the analysis show that the construction of Cisumdawu Toll Road in Pasigaran Village, Tanjungsari District, Sumedang Regency causes a significant social impact, especially on the needs of the community with the highest score. Then, construction is also affect enough in changes way of community work, recreation and interact socially with a moderate score category. The program that is prepared as an alternative solution to solve the problem is "Reducing the Social Impact of Toll Road Construction through Collaborative Communication" in Pasigaran Village, Tanjungsari District, Sumedang Regency.

Abstract

Criminal cases of human trafficking in women and children become an international spotlight. This cases that begin with a job seekers who migrate outside the region. Many factors cause this trade, including the lack of public knowledge about human trafficking information, poor families who come from remote or slum areas, limited education, family economic crisis, immigrant workers, school dropouts, victims family violence, women and street children, and sexual exploitation. Although this crime is still difficult and complicated to overcome. However, the social workers can help provide a protection and services to victims. There are several institutions that deal with this problem, including the Women's Social Protection House, the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, and the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Social Affairs, the National Agency for the Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (BNP2TKI), the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Indonesian Police and Attorney General's Office. This study aims to determine the role of social workers related to problems in handling cases of trafficking in women and children. The research method technique uses a literature review technique that contains theories that are relevant to the research problems. A social workers in practice have several roles that must be carried out, a role as a facilitator, a role as a broker, a role as a mediator, a role as a defender and a role as a protector, where are used in several interventions for handling the rehabilitation of human trafficking in women and children.

Abstract

Small business actors are required to be able to innovate in following the development of digital-based product marketing systems for business sustainability and welfare. MRSE (Management of Reseller and Event) digital marketing technology is the result of engineering from digital and conventional marketing technology designed to improve skills and sales results for small business products for poor families who experience gaps in using digital technology. This study aims to obtain the final design of the MRSE digital marketing technology. This study uses a qualitative approach with the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. This research was applied to two groups of small business actors of glutinous rice and knitting bags in Katapang Village, Katapang District, Bandung Regency. The results of this study found that the initial conditions for marketing MSME products were carried out conventionally by entrusting the product to local stalls and traditional markets. The planning for the implementation of MRS digital marketing technology includes digital marketing media, marketing partners, and breadth of targets. The results of the study found the final design of MRSE digital marketing technology engineering which was refined into 4 (four elements) namely 1) the use of digital marketing media with a market place and social media (village website, whatsapp business, shopee, and facebook), 2) marketing partners involving resellers namely local village youth, 3) the breadth of sales targets carried out to the national level, and 4) marketing by using events.

Abstract

Researchers introduce participatory methods to help communities carry out further analysis and planning through the MPA or PRA method. Through participatory action research, the method used prioritizes active community participation with the researchers help as facilitators for community to realize designing and using participatory methods to conduct potential assessments which will later become a conceptual form in rural area development in the idea of the Tanjung Manggu Village community empowerment program, Desa Simpang, Kecamatan Wanayasa. This research was conducted to analyze the success of implementing MPA as a way to help the people of Tanjung Manggu Village carry out experiments to determine the potential and conditions that exist in their environment in order to improve the life quality of the people in the area. The study method used is a qualitative approach with Participatory Action Research (PAR) techniques. The results of this research show that recognizing the potential for community empowerment can be applied through Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), Methodology for Participatory Assessment (MPA), and using the help of the Self Esteem, Associate Strength, Resourcefulness, Action Planning, and Responsibility (SARAR) approach can be implemented so as to produce a program design to grow potentials that can be empowered. This is proven by the interest of young people in Tanjung Manggu who have leadership qualities and potential successors to the previous leadership who have become Karang Taruna. Apart from that, there are also young people from the Tanjung Manggu community who focus on developing businesses in the agricultural sector, expertise in managing Home Industry, namely tea which is produced on a small scale, making palm sugar which is still produced on a small scale, and making finding fish with a medium marketing scale

Abstract

The Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) is expected to enhance human resources quality, transform the behavior of participants of the Recipient Family Welfare (KPM) PKH who do not support efforts to improve welfare, and break the intergenerational poverty cycle. Graduation, as the fourth phase of PKH, refers to the process of ending membership status of KPM families in the program. However, there are barriers hindering graduation achievement. This study aims to analyze, examine, and describe the deceleration of PKH graduation among KPM in Glundengan Village, Wuluhan District, Jember Regency. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection utilizes non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The data analysis method involves data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Triangulation of techniques and sources is used to validate the data. The research findings identify inhibiting factors for achieving self- graduation goals in Glundengan Village, including family human resource factors related to misuse of aid allocation, mindset, ethnic diversity, as well as other factors such as the amount of aid received and the PKH mentoring mechanism.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the fulfillment of the rights of the rights of elderly prisoners in the class IIA Bandung Women’s Correctional Institutions. Elderly prisoners are a vulnerable group who often experience discrimination and lack of adequate facilities while serving their sentence. As an institution that carries out the task of guidance and protection, the Women's Correctional Institution Class IIA Bandung is expected to fulfill the rights of elderly prisoners by applicable standards and regulations. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach and uses purposive sampling techniques in selecting informants. The informants in the study consisted of four key informants and two supporting informants. The results showed that the fulfillment of the rights of elderly prisoners at the Class IIA Bandung Women's Correctional Institution had been fulfilled. However, in its implementation, it is still not carried out optimally because there are inhibiting factors in the form of budget limitations, and human resources in the form of professional experts. However, there are also supporting factors that encourage the achievement of the goals of the Class IIA Women's Correctional Institution such as institutional policies in implementing special programs, and the provision of facilities and infrastructure.
