Abstract

General Background Global digitalization and competitive pedagogical landscapes necessitate that schools transform into adaptive organizations integrating academic quality with spiritual character. Specific Background An Islamic foundation in Sidoarjo Regency experienced an unpredictable attack when its primary student supplier, a partner boarding school, established its own formal schools. Knowledge Gap While the five forces model widely evaluates urban or higher learning competitiveness, empirical analyses assessing rural schools confronting sudden supplier-to-competitor transformations remain scarce. Aims This study analyzes the competitive challenges and strategic adaptations of a rural foundation using the five forces structural model. Results Utilizing a qualitative case study involving in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, the analysis reveals severe pressure from new entrants possessing strong socio-religious legitimacy. The foundation faced diminished supplier power, increased bargaining power from parents demanding integrated religious learning, and a high threat of substitution from modern boarding schools. In response, the institution implemented adaptive strategies by strengthening its inclusive identity, expanding recruitment networks, and fostering internal organizational integration. Novelty This research specifically maps the unpredictable structural attack within a rural socio-cultural context where an established partner abruptly converts into a direct market rival. Implications Foundations must proactively leverage their social trust capital and execute differentiation strategies, such as developing pseudo-boarding environments, to sustain institutional competitiveness amidst evolving market pressures. Highlights: The sudden transformation of a primary student supplier into a direct competitor severely disrupted institutional enrollment stability. Parents increasingly demand integrated academic and spiritual learning environments, elevating their bargaining power across local pedagogical choices. Strengthening internal organizational integration and expanding recruitment networks successfully counters severe socio-cultural competitive pressures. Abstract

General Background Total Quality Management is a systemic organizational strategy emphasizing continuous improvement across all administrative and academic functions to ensure educational excellence. Specific Background SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Kutorejo implements educational administration and operational processes guided by Jerome S. Arcaro's five core quality management pillars: customer focus, total involvement, measurement, commitment, and continuous improvement. Knowledge Gap Although quality management is extensively theorized, comprehensive qualitative evaluations pinpointing the specific structural gaps between theoretically prescribed pillars and their practical execution within under-resourced vocational Islamic schools remain limited. Aims This study analyzes the implementation extent of Jerome S. Arcaro’s five quality management pillars at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Kutorejo to evaluate educational service quality. Results Employing a qualitative case study utilizing observations, interviews, and documentation, findings indicate uneven implementation across the five pillars. The commitment and continuous improvement pillars demonstrate strong execution through quality-oriented leadership, teacher professionalism, and regular programmatic evaluations. Conversely, customer focus, total involvement, and measurement remain suboptimal. While the school addresses customer needs and fosters teamwork, it critically lacks formalized evaluation mechanisms, such as systematic customer satisfaction surveys, formalized cross-functional quality teams, and data-driven measurement instruments. Novelty This research distinctly isolates structural execution gaps within Arcaro’s framework in a vocational Islamic context, revealing that high institutional commitment does not automatically translate to systematic, data-driven quality measurement. Implications Educational institutions must institutionalize formal, data-driven evaluation mechanisms and structured cross-functional quality teams to bridge the gap between abstract institutional commitment and measurable continuous improvement. Highlights: Institutional commitment and continuous improvement are effectively executed through quality-oriented leadership and regular programmatic evaluations. The absence of systematic customer satisfaction surveys significantly limits the optimization of the customer focus pillar. Formalized, data-driven measurement instruments are essential to objectively evaluate academic performance and administrative efficiency. Abstract

General Background In the contemporary digital era, Internet integration is essential for organizational visibility and competitive advantage, significantly revolutionizing marketing communication within educational institutions. Specific Background Ar Rohmah Putri Islamic Boarding School in Malang has shifted from conventional marketing methods to an extensive digital marketing strategy initiated in 2020 to actively recruit and engage prospective students and their parents. Knowledge Gap Although previous studies frequently explore digital marketing in profit-driven businesses, comprehensive qualitative analyses detailing multi-platform digital strategies specifically designed to build brand awareness for Islamic boarding schools remain highly limited. Aims This study analyzes the role of digital transformation in marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness at Ar Rohmah Putri Islamic Boarding School Malang. Results Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach using observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, the research found that the digital marketing strategy is systematically planned and collaboratively executed by the public relations and content creator teams. The strategy actively utilizes Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, WhatsApp Channels, Facebook Ads, and an SEO-optimized website to disseminate Islamic values, alumni testimonials, and student achievements. This comprehensive approach successfully increased social media followers by 15-20% and significantly boosted audience engagement and website traffic during enrollment periods. Novelty This research specifically maps the architectural fusion of multi-platform digital marketing with authentic Islamic values, demonstrating how non-profit boarding schools can competitively elevate institutional brand awareness. Implications Islamic educational institutions must strategically invest in dedicated public relations personnel and maintain consistent, high-quality digital content across multiple platforms to successfully expand their audience reach and build sustainable public trust. Highlights: Multi-platform digital marketing significantly increases institutional brand awareness, boosting social media followers by 15-20%. Integrating authentic Islamic values with student testimonials on social media successfully builds strong parental trust. Successful digital marketing execution requires structured collaboration between dedicated public relations teams and content creators. Abstract

General Background Private educational institutions frequently face critical operational challenges, particularly severe educator attrition rates that threaten academic stability and organizational culture. Specific Background A historically prominent private high school in Mojokerto, East Java, recently experienced severe staff attrition, losing three to seven educators annually from a ten-person faculty. Knowledge Gap While existing literature predominantly identifies the general triggers of staff attrition, comprehensive qualitative analyses that reframe this crisis as a strategic momentum for organizational restructuring within established socio-religious networks remain scarce. Aims This study analyzes the root causes of high educator attrition and identifies strategic opportunities for structural advancement to ensure educational sustainability. Results Utilizing a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, findings reveal that attrition is primarily driven by a dysfunctional, authoritarian managerial style and an unjust, non-transparent compensation system based on personal proximity rather than competence. Despite these challenges, the high attrition provides a critical opportunity to restructure human resource policies, recruit adaptive educators, foster an inclusive organizational culture, and leverage the expansive symbolic capital and network of the Muhammadiyah organization. Novelty This research distinctly positions severe staff attrition not merely as an organizational failure, but as a strategic mechanism for systemic managerial reform and competitive repositioning through established community networks. Implications Educational leaders must implement objective compensation systems, democratic managerial practices, and active community partnerships to transform attrition crises into sustainable academic excellence. Highlights: An authoritarian managerial style and unjust salary distribution directly trigger severe educator attrition. Attrition crises provide critical momentum to restructure human resource policies and recruit adaptive teaching staff. Leveraging expansive socio-religious networks restores organizational reputation and ensures long-term academic sustainability. Abstract

General Background Islamic boarding schools traditionally function as primary institutions for internalizing religious ethics through comprehensive character formation frameworks. Specific Background Ibnu Abbas Bojonegoro Islamic Boarding School implements targeted etiquette cultivation to synthesize general academic subjects with foundational religious values amidst modern globalization challenges. Knowledge Gap Although moral education is widely researched, systematic studies integrating the complete administrative cycle specifically for character formation within formal instructional frameworks remain limited. Aims This research formulates a comprehensive etiquette management model by analyzing the planning, implementation, and evaluation processes at Ibnu Abbas Bojonegoro. Results A qualitative case study utilizing interviews, observation, and documentation reveals that planning integrates classical and contemporary religious literature. Organizing systematically divides educator roles based on teaching competency. Implementation successfully employs continuous mentoring and role modeling, officially embedding behavioral assessments into formal academic reports. However, evaluation mechanisms lack standardized documentation and data-driven instruments, while diverse student backgrounds present ongoing adaptation challenges. Novelty This study uniquely embeds classical character-building concepts throughout the entire modern administrative cycle, creating a contextual and adaptive educational framework responsive to modern demands. Implications Educational institutions must standardize evaluation instruments and systematically document character assessments to ensure continuous moral progress among students. Highlights: Continuous mentoring and role modeling successfully shape student character over an observational cycle. Assessing moral behavior requires standardized documentation and data-driven evaluation mechanisms to ensure objective reporting. Integrating classical texts with modern academic systems provides a strong theoretical foundation for ethical education. Abstract

General Background Modern educational institutions require robust stakeholder relationship strategies to maintain competitiveness and ensure institutional sustainability. Specific Background Pesantren Ar-Rohmah Malang applies Customer Relationship Management to address enrollment fluctuations and build long-term trust with parents. Knowledge Gap Although Customer Relationship Management is widely utilized in corporate sectors, its integration with religious values within traditional boarding school environments remains under-researched. Aims This study analyzes the application of Customer Relationship Management in supporting student enrollment sustainability at Pesantren Ar-Rohmah Malang. Results Qualitative analysis using observations, interviews, documentation, and parental questionnaires reveals that the institution applies three core strategies including customer retention through responsive service, customer acquisition via digital media, and customer loyalty driven by parental satisfaction. However, the institution faces challenges such as one-way communication patterns, unintegrated customer data, and suboptimal technological utilization. Novelty This research distinctly contextualizes corporate relationship frameworks within a religious educational setting by synthesizing administrative practices with Islamic principles. Implications Educational institutions must transition toward two-way communication models and adopt integrated data systems to sustain enrollment numbers and institutional loyalty. Highlights:  Responsive service directly secures parental satisfaction and word-of-mouth recommendations. Unintegrated data systems and one-way communication currently restrict long-term institutional loyalty. Synthesizing administrative frameworks with religious principles creates a holistic stakeholder approach. Abstract

General Background Islamic boarding schools face the challenge of aligning traditional religious values with modern educational demands to produce graduates who are both spiritually grounded and academically competitive. Specific Background Pesantren Ar-Rohmah Putri specifically addresses this by implementing the Kurikulum Integral Berbasis Tauhid, which systematically embeds the Sistematika Nuzulnya Wahyu framework into its national and religious curricula to foster a disciplined educational ecosystem. Knowledge Gap Although studies have explored the application of Sistematika Nuzulnya Wahyu in character education, comprehensive research analyzing this curriculum holistically across all systemic managerial functions remains scarce. Aims This study analyzes the systemic management of the Tauhid-Based Integral Curriculum implemented at Pesantren Ar-Rohmah Putri. Results Employing a qualitative phenomenological design involving interviews, observations, and documentation, the research reveals that curriculum management is structured around integrating Ruhiyah, Aqliah, and Jasadiah dimensions. Planning stems from transcendental goals, organizing involves synergistic coordination among academic and boarding units, and evaluation utilizes a holistic assessment of academic and spiritual progress. Challenges include the dual curriculum burden and the necessity for continuous teacher training to integrate Tauhid concepts into secular subjects. Novelty This study distinctly frames the curriculum not merely as a pedagogical character tool but as a foundational management model where the principles of Tauhid structurally dictate the entire institutional management cycle. Implications Islamic educational institutions can replicate this Tauhid-based management model to successfully fuse secular academic excellence with profound spiritual development within a cohesive curriculum structure. Highlights: The curriculum holistically integrates Ruhiyah, Aqliah, and Jasadiah dimensions throughout the entire boarding school ecosystem. Curriculum management structurally originates from transcendental goals rather than standard academic mapping. Successful implementation requires continuous professional development to equip teachers to fuse secular and spiritual concepts. Abstract

General Background In an increasingly competitive educational landscape, institutions must develop distinct brand images to ensure long-term viability and attract prospective students. Specific Background Insan Kamil Integrated Islamic School Sidoarjo utilizes specialized educational initiatives, such as accelerated Tahfiz Al-Qur'an, character education, leadership training, and entrepreneurship modules, as core components of its institutional identity. Knowledge Gap Although previous studies frequently explore digital marketing and promotional communication within higher education, qualitative analyses specifically investigating how integrated flagship programs structurally construct and reinforce brand image within Islamic primary and secondary schools remain highly limited. Aims This study analyzes the implementation of flagship programs and evaluates stakeholder perceptions as a strategy to reinforce the brand image at Insan Kamil Integrated Islamic School Sidoarjo. Results Utilizing a descriptive qualitative method involving observations, documentation, and stakeholder interviews, the findings demonstrate that the accelerated 30-juz Tahfiz Al-Qur'an program acts as the primary driver of the school's brand identity. This is structurally supported by comprehensive character education, leadership development, and entrepreneurship modules. The institution strategically implements these programs through integrated curriculum planning, consistent execution, continuous evaluation, and extensive multi-channel social media communication detailing program processes, achievements, and parental testimonials. Novelty This research specifically isolates value-based and character-driven flagship educational programs, rather than conventional external marketing tactics, as the primary architectural elements in constructing a competitive institutional brand image within an integrated Islamic school. Implications Educational institutions must strategically integrate specialized, value-driven flagship programs into their core curriculum and consistently communicate these achievements to significantly elevate public trust, parental loyalty, and overall competitive positioning. Highlights: The accelerated 30-juz Tahfiz Al-Qur'an program fundamentally drives the institution's competitive brand identity. Comprehensive leadership, entrepreneurship, and character modules structurally differentiate the school from competitors. Consistent social media communication of program achievements significantly solidifies positive stakeholder perceptions and trust. Abstract

General Background Inclusive education mandates that all children, including those with special needs, receive equal access to quality education, particularly in character and spiritual development programs. Specific Background Sekolah Kreatif SD Muhammadiyah Bangil accommodates special needs students—including those diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, Slow Learning, and Dyslexia—and actively integrates them into daily religious routines through a specialized Qur'anic learning program. Knowledge Gap Although Qur'anic learning methods like Tajdied, Tahfidz, and Tamyiz are widely applied in general education, comprehensive qualitative analyses detailing how these distinct methods are structurally modified and simultaneously implemented as a unified approach for diverse special needs students remain scarce. Aims This study analyzes the implementation strategies of the Qur'anic learning program using the 3T approach for special needs students at Sekolah Kreatif SD Muhammadiyah Bangil. Results Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method involving observations, interviews, and documentation, the research found that the 3T program is systematically adapted to individual capabilities. The Tajdied method employs intensive repetition and audio-visual media to improve articulation. The Tahfidz program establishes flexible memorization targets using audio and talaqqi techniques. Meanwhile, the Tamyiz method utilizes color-coded cards and rhythmic repetition to simplify Arabic grammar and translation comprehension. Novelty This study distinctly maps the pedagogical fusion of three discrete Qur'anic learning methodologies tailored specifically through multisensory and Universal Design for Learning frameworks to accommodate varying cognitive disabilities within an inclusive primary school. Implications Implementing the adaptive 3T methodology provides a practical, replicable framework for inclusive Islamic schools to ensure equitable spiritual education, thereby fostering religious character and self-confidence among special needs students. Highlights: The 3T approach integrates Tajdied, Tahfidz, and Tamyiz to provide a comprehensive, adaptable Qur'anic learning framework. Incorporating multisensory media and rhythmic repetition significantly aids students with ADHD, Autism, and Dyslexia in memorization. Flexible target-setting within the Tahfidz program reduces learning pressure, thereby increasing special needs students' self-confidence. Abstract

General Background: Employee performance is central to public-sector financial administration, yet Mesuji Regency's Government Agency Performance Accountability System remains in the sufficient category despite six consecutive Unqualified Opinions on regional financial statements. Specific Background: BKAD Mesuji faces concerns related to performance allowance disparities and human resource competence, while 42.22% of employees work in fields that do not correspond to their formal educational backgrounds. Knowledge Gap: Prior research has largely focused on more developed cities or regencies, leaving limited evidence from a newly established regency characterized by medium human development, limited regional revenue, and a developing bureaucracy; inter-regency performance allowance disparity has also received limited attention. Aims: This study examines performance allowances and competence in relation to employee performance through a quantitative explanatory survey of all 42 BKAD Mesuji employees and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: Performance allowances were positively and significantly associated with employee performance (β = 0.345; p = 0.025), while competence also showed a positive significant association (β = 0.499; p = 0.002). Competence therefore carried the larger standardized coefficient. Novelty: The study integrates remuneration and competence within the specific institutional context of Mesuji while incorporating inter-regency allowance disparity as a contextual problem. Implications: The findings support fair and transparent remuneration, systematic competence development, and periodic evaluation aligning workloads, work results, and rewards. Highlights: Remuneration quality shows a positive statistically significant association with work outcomes. Workforce capability records the larger standardized coefficient at β = 0.499. Findings support transparent rewards, periodic evaluation, and continuous human resource development. Keywords: Remuneration, Performance, Competence
