Abstract

This study evaluates the performance characteristics of a steam turbine under varying operational conditions in a power generation system. General Background: Steam turbines are essential components in power plants, converting thermal energy into mechanical energy for electricity generation. Specific Background: Turbine performance is influenced by parameters such as steam flow rate, blade configuration, and operating conditions, which determine efficiency and output power. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have examined turbine performance, yet detailed evaluation under specific parameter variations in practical systems remains limited. Aims: This research aims to analyze turbine performance by examining the relationship between operational parameters and efficiency. Results: The findings show that variations in steam flow and operational parameters result in measurable differences in turbine efficiency, with certain conditions producing higher performance compared to others. Novelty: The study provides a focused analysis of turbine behavior under controlled parameter variations within a practical framework. Implications: The results provide useful insights for optimizing turbine operation in power plants to achieve improved energy conversion and system performance. Abstract

General Background Product quality is a critical determinant of competitiveness in manufacturing industries, requiring systematic quality control throughout production processes. Specific Background PT X, a pasted kraft cement bag manufacturer, reported a defect rate of 3.2%, exceeding the company tolerance limit of 1.5%, indicating suboptimal quality control performance. Knowledge Gap Previous studies have commonly applied Statistical Quality Control (SQC) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) separately, with limited integration of both methods for comprehensive defect analysis in cement bag production. Aims This study aims to analyze defect characteristics and develop improvement recommendations using an integrated SQC and FMEA approach. Results The findings reveal four dominant defects: failed bottoming pleats (34.5%), tilted valves (29.4%), poor printing (23.3%), and torn openings (12.8%), with the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN) of 384 attributed to failed bottoming pleats caused by operator inattention during machine adjustment. Novelty This study integrates SQC for defect identification and FMEA for prioritizing root causes and corrective actions in pasted kraft cement bag production. Implications The proposed implementation of a standardized checklist for bottoming machine adjustment parameters before production and after size changes enables consistent machine settings and supports improved quality control practices. Highlights: Failed bottoming pleats constitute the largest proportion of defects at 34.5%. Highest risk priority originates from operator-related machine adjustment errors. Abstract

General Background: The integration of information and communication technology in education has transformed learning into a more interactive and flexible process, positioning mobile learning as a strategic approach in the digital era. Specific Background: The increasing use of smartphones among elementary students has shifted attention toward non-academic activities, leading to decreased motivation and suboptimal learning outcomes in religious education subjects. Knowledge Gap: Prior studies predominantly focus on higher education levels and general subjects, leaving limited empirical evidence on Android-based mobile learning in elementary religious education contexts. Aims: This study examines the relationship between Android-based mobile learning usage, student learning motivation, and cognitive learning outcomes. Results: The findings indicate a significant relationship between mobile learning and learning motivation with a determination coefficient of 46.4%, while its relationship with learning outcomes is significant but relatively low at 4.2%. Novelty: The study provides simultaneous analysis of mobile learning, motivation, and cognitive outcomes in elementary religious education, offering a more integrated perspective compared to prior research. Implications: The results highlight the need for combining mobile learning with appropriate instructional strategies, teacher guidance, and supportive learning environments to achieve more balanced educational outcomes. Abstract

General Background: Digital transformation in healthcare through Electronic Medical Records and hospital information systems requires nurses to possess advanced digital competencies alongside clinical skills. Specific Background: Newly graduated nurses experience transition shock intensified by simultaneous clinical responsibilities and digital system demands, while existing preceptorship programs remain predominantly clinically oriented and lack structured digital integration. Knowledge Gap: There is limited evidence on structured preceptorship models that systematically incorporate digital adaptation to address technostress, documentation errors, and competency gaps among novice nurses. Aims: This study aims to analyze the requirements for a digital adaptation-based preceptorship program for newly graduated nurses. Results: Using a descriptive qualitative case study with interviews and focus group discussions involving 18 stakeholders, three core needs were identified: a safe digital learning environment through training dummy systems, standardized digital literacy for preceptors as technology mentors, and integration of competency monitoring via digital logbooks with real-time feedback. Findings also reveal the emergence of digital transition shock, documentation delays, data entry errors, and mentoring inefficiencies linked to inadequate digital preparedness. Novelty: This study proposes a structured digital preceptorship framework integrating psychological safety, simulation-based learning, and competency tracking within clinical mentoring. Implications: The findings highlight the necessity of embedding digital adaptation into preceptorship curricula to reduce digital malpractice risks, support nurse well-being, and ensure continuity and safety of patient care in digitally integrated hospital systems. Highlights: Dual clinical and technological demands create significant psychological and operational burden during early professional transition. Abstract

General Background: Digital health applications such as Mobile JKN are introduced to improve healthcare service efficiency, particularly in outpatient settings. Specific Background: Despite high utilization, outpatient waiting times at Mohammad Noer Regional General Hospital remain above the national standard, indicating persistent service delays. Knowledge Gap: Limited studies integrate actual waiting time (AWT) and perceived waiting time (PWT) in explaining patient satisfaction within digital health systems. Aims: This study examines the relationship between AWT, PWT, and patient satisfaction among Mobile JKN users in a cardiology clinic. Results: The average AWT reached 88.5 minutes, exceeding the national standard, with physician consultation as the main bottleneck. PWT showed a significant relationship with patient satisfaction (p < 0.05) and explained 44.5% of its variance. Both AWT and PWT significantly contributed to patient satisfaction, with perception playing a stronger role than objective duration. Novelty: This study integrates operational and experiential dimensions of waiting time within a digital health context, highlighting the dual role of objective and subjective measures. Implications: Improving patient satisfaction requires combining digital health systems with queue management, service optimization, and enhanced communication to align perceived and actual service performance. Abstract

General Background The snack food industry faces increasing competition, requiring firms to adopt strategic approaches to maintain competitiveness and sales performance. Specific Background A cassava cracker enterprise experienced a decline in sales volume, indicating challenges in sustaining its market position despite stable raw material supply and product availability. Knowledge Gap Previous studies primarily examine direct relationships between product innovation, product quality, and competitive advantage, with limited attention to digital marketing as a mediating mechanism, particularly in local cassava-based agroindustry contexts. Aims This study analyzes the direct and indirect relationships of product innovation and product quality on competitive advantage through digital marketing as a mediating variable. Results Using a quantitative descriptive method with 96 respondents and SEM-PLS analysis, the findings reveal that product innovation and product quality significantly and positively affect competitive advantage, both directly and indirectly through digital marketing, with digital marketing functioning as a partial mediator. Novelty The study introduces digital marketing as an intervening variable linking innovation and quality to competitive advantage within a localized cassava cracker enterprise context. Implications Strengthening product innovation and maintaining consistent product quality, supported by optimized digital marketing strategies, are essential to expand market reach and reinforce competitive positioning in the snack food industry. Highlights: Innovation and quality significantly strengthen firm competitiveness directly and indirectly. Digital channels function as a partial mediator linking internal capabilities to market positioning. Optimization of online promotion remains limited despite positive statistical relationships. Abstract

General Background: Logistics services play a critical role in supply chain performance, particularly in ensuring timely and accurate goods delivery. Specific Background: PT. APL faces recurring operational issues in delivery activities, including delays, damages, and discrepancies, which lead to financial losses due to customer claims. Knowledge Gap: Existing studies often apply risk analysis methods separately, leaving limited integration between structured risk identification and mitigation prioritization approaches. Aims: This study aims to identify, prioritize, and develop risk mitigation strategies in logistics service operations using an integrated Risk Breakdown Structure (RBS) and House of Risk (HOR) approach. Results: The analysis identified 18 risk events across six delivery stages caused by 29 risk agents, with the highest Aggregate Risk Potential value reaching 2,752. The study proposed four main mitigation priorities based on Effectiveness to Difficulty values, including double checking systems, checklist implementation, employee training, and operational standard setting. Novelty: This research demonstrates a structured integration of RBS and HOR to systematically connect risk identification, prioritization, and mitigation strategy development in logistics operations. Implications: The findings provide practical guidance for logistics companies in reducing operational risks and improving service quality through targeted and prioritized mitigation actions. Abstract

General Background: Risk management plays a crucial role in maintaining productivity and operational stability in industrial systems. Specific Background: Many production processes experience failures that lead to decreased performance due to unstructured identification and prioritization of risks. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies often apply Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) separately, limiting the ability to systematically determine risk priorities. Aims: This study aims to identify potential failures, assess risk levels, and determine priority mitigation strategies using an integrated FMEA and AHP approach. Results: The analysis identified multiple failure modes with varying Risk Priority Number values, where dominant risks were determined through severity, occurrence, and detection criteria. The AHP method produced weighted priorities that guided the selection of key mitigation actions. Novelty: This study presents an integrated framework combining FMEA and AHP to support structured and hierarchical risk prioritization. Implications: The findings provide a practical basis for decision making in managing operational risks and improving process reliability through prioritized mitigation actions. Abstract

General Background: Facility layout design is essential in supporting operational efficiency and smooth material flow within production systems. Specific Background: Ineffective layout arrangements often lead to excessive material handling distances and inefficient workflows in industrial environments. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have not fully integrated relationship-based analysis and visual layout representation to systematically improve facility arrangement. Aims: This study aims to redesign facility layout by analyzing activity relationships and developing an improved layout configuration using Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) and Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD). Results: The analysis identified key relationships among workstations, which were translated into a structured layout design that reduces unnecessary movement and organizes workflow more effectively. The proposed layout demonstrates improved proximity between related activities and better spatial arrangement compared to the initial condition. Novelty: This study provides a structured application of ARC and ARD integration to connect relationship analysis with visual layout design in a specific industrial context. Implications: The findings offer practical guidance for improving facility layout planning to support more organized production flow and reduced material handling inefficiencies. Abstract

General Background: Corrosion is a critical issue affecting the durability and performance of metallic materials in industrial environments. Specific Background: Variations in coating type and temperature conditions can alter the corrosion behavior of metal surfaces, leading to differences in degradation rates. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have not consistently examined the combined role of coating variations and temperature conditions in determining corrosion characteristics under controlled testing environments. Aims: This study aims to analyze corrosion rate behavior under different coating types and temperature variations to identify dominant factors influencing material degradation. Results: Experimental findings show that variations in coating type and temperature produce different corrosion rates, where certain coatings demonstrate better resistance under specific thermal conditions. The analysis highlights measurable differences in corrosion performance across tested samples. Novelty: This study provides a focused evaluation of combined coating and temperature variables in corrosion testing, offering a comparative perspective on material resistance.
