Abstract

This study investigates the mediating role of perceived usefulness in the adoption of Sharia fintech among Generation Z individuals in Java Island, Indonesia. A sample of 155 respondents, selected through purposive sampling, participated in the research. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS 25.0. The findings reveal that perceived usefulness successfully mediates the influence of subjective norms on behavioral intention. Furthermore, perceived usefulness fully mediates the impact of perceived ease of use on behavioral intention. These results underscore the importance of fintech managers gaining deeper insights and aligning service development with market needs. Sharia fintech companies should emphasize the benefits of technology use to enhance user interest in fintech adoption. Given Indonesia's predominantly Muslim population, ensuring user-friendly technology is crucial. This study contributes to the understanding of the factors driving the adoption of Sharia fintech and offers practical implications for fintech service providers.========================================================================================================ABSTRAK – Fintech Syariah dan Generasi Z: Peran Mediasi Perceived Usefulness. Abstract

This study examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the nexus between macroeconomic conditions, Islamic banking performance, and MSME financing in Indonesia. Utilizing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and secondary data spanning January 2020 to June 2023, the research analyzes the direct effects of macroeconomic factors on both the financial performance of Islamic banks and the provision of financing to MSMEs.  The findings indicate a statistically significant positive relationship between macroeconomic stability and both Islamic banking financial performance and MSME financing. Conversely, the study reveals no statistically significant relationship between the financial performance of Islamic banks and the scale of MSME financing during the period. These results underscore the critical role of macroeconomic stability as a primary determinant of financial performance for both Islamic banks and MSMEs, particularly during periods of economic crisis.========================================================================================================ABSTRAK – Dari Krisis ke Stabilitas: Bagaimana Makroekonomi Membentuk Masa Depan Perbankan Syariah dan UMKM? Abstract

The Impact of Islamic Financial Literacy on Lecturers’ Decision-Making in Utilizing Islamic Financial Institutions: Evidence from UIN Ar-Raniry - Islamic financial literacy is an extension of financial literacy, encompassing individuals' knowledge and understanding of financial concepts in accordance with Sharia principles. Low levels of Islamic financial literacy can affect the quality of financial decision-making, including decisions to use Islamic financial institutions. This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic financial literacy on decisions to use Islamic financial institutions among lecturers at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Ar-Raniry. The research employs a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 86 lecturers, selected via accidental sampling from the total population of lecturers at UIN Ar-Raniry. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results show that Islamic financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on decisions to use Islamic financial institutions. This is evidenced by a regression coefficient of 0.171 and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.284 indicates that Islamic financial literacy accounts for 28.4% of the variance in decisions to use Islamic financial institutions, while the remaining 71.6% is influenced by other factors not covered in this study. The study concludes that the higher the level of Islamic financial literacy among lecturers, the better their decisions regarding the use of Islamic financial institutions. The implications of this study highlight the importance of improving Islamic financial literacy among lecturers to encourage the use and development of Islamic financial institutions.

Abstract

The concept of CSR began in the West in the 1970s and discussions on the concept of CSR often focused on the view that is founded on the norms, cultures, and beliefs of the West. The Western perspective of CSR has become common practice for a corporate to run CSR programs. One of the goals of Islamic banking operations is to increase the economic growth towards a better and just society. Therefore, Islamic CSR in IBIs should be underpinning on Islamic philosophy that differs from a western perspective. This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic CSR in IBIs in society base on an underpinning of Islamic philosophy. This study relies on secondary data to explore the basic sources of Islam using content analysis. The study found that the implementation of Islamic corporate social responsibility on IBIs in the society should be guided by two Islamic principles, first, the application of maslahah (the public good) which provides a better framework that managers can use when faced with potential conflicts arising from diverse expectations and interests of any corporation's stakeholders. Secondly, the corporate social responsibility program should pay more attention to the importance of social capital in society. The corporate social responsibility practices in Islamic banking should not only be based on responsibility al kifayah (obligatory upon the community) and get a positive corporate image but can also be deemed as a method to alleviate poverty and achieve the true economic goals of Islam.
