Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of financial independence, budget solvency, service solvency, population, and GRDP on local government financial sustainability. The results of this research are important to provide input for local governments in arranging appropriate policies to encourage financial sustainability. This research was conducted on 23 regional governments in Aceh by using the panel data regression analysis method with the assistance of the Eviews 12 version. The data was taken from the audited financial reports of regional governments in the 2017-2021 period. This research employed income surpluses in operational reports to measure regional government financial sustainability. The research results show that financial independence has no effect on financial sustainability, but budget solvency and service solvency have a significant positive effect. In contrast, population and GRDP have a negative effect on financial sustainability.

Abstract

The Effect of Service Quality and Trust on Customer Satisfaction: Insights from Bank Aceh Syariah in Banda Aceh - Customer satisfaction is a crucial factor in Islamic banking. It is believed that service quality and customer trust can enhance customer satisfaction. This research aims to investigate the influence of service quality and customer trust on customer satisfaction at PT. Bank Aceh Syariah KPO Banda Aceh. This study employs a quantitative approach with a population encompassing all customers of PT. Bank Aceh Syariah KPO Banda Aceh. Accidental sampling was used to select participants. Data was collected through questionnaires utilizing a Likert scale that was validated for reliability and validity. Data analysis involved tests for validity, reliability, classical assumptions, correlation, and both simple and multiple linear regression. The research yielded that service quality and customer trust jointly exert a significant influence on customer satisfaction. Meanwhile, service quality has a significant individual impact on customer satisfaction, and customer trust has a significant individual impact on customer satisfaction. This research underscores the importance of service quality and customer trust in fostering customer satisfaction. PT. Bank Aceh Syariah KPO Banda Aceh should continuously strive to improve service quality and build customer trust to enhance customer satisfaction.==============================================================================================================Kepuasan nasabah merupakan faktor penting dalam perbankan syariah. Kualitas pelayanan dan kepercayaan nasabah diyakini dapat meningkatkan kepuasan nasabah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pengaruh kualitas pelayanan dan kepercayaan nasabah terhadap kepuasan nasabah di PT. Bank Aceh Syariah KPO Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi seluruh nasabah di PT. Bank Aceh Syariah KPO Banda Aceh. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dengan skala Likert yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, asumsi klasik, korelasi, regresi linear sederhana dan berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan dan kepercayaan nasabah secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan nasabah. Secara parsial, kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan nasabah, dan kepercayaan nasabah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan nasabah. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan dan kepercayaan nasabah penting untuk meningkatkan kepuasan nasabah. PT. Bank Aceh Syariah KPO Banda Aceh perlu terus meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan dan membangun kepercayaan nasabah untuk meningkatkan kepuasan nasabah.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of product quality, variety seeking, and advertising on brand switching in smartphone devices among students at Syiah Kuala University's Faculty of Business Economics. Using purposive sampling, 100 questionnaires were distributed, and data were analyzed through multiple linear regression using IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The findings reveal that advertising, product quality, and variety seeking significantly influence brand switching both collectively and individually. These results highlight the critical role of these factors in shaping students' switching behavior. The study provides valuable insights for marketers and smartphone manufacturers to develop effective strategies to enhance customer retention and reduce brand switching among college students. By understanding these factors, businesses can better cater to the preferences and behaviors of their target audience in the competitive smartphone market.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to foster an entrepreneurial spirit based on socio-technopreneurship among students of SMAN 3 Unggul Sigli, Pidie Regency, Aceh. The main issue addressed is the low interest and ability of students in entrepreneurship, primarily due to limited exposure to practical and technology-relevant entrepreneurship education. Using the Service Learning (SL) approach, the activity was conducted in the form of a workshop consisting of three main sessions: material presentation, business plan preparation practice, and presentation of results. The participants included 50 students guided by a team from the Program Studi Ekonomi Islam Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Syiah Kuala and the Pusat Riset Komunikasi Pemasaran, Pariwisata, dan Ekonomi Kreatif Universitas Syiah Kuala. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding of socio-technopreneurship (from 60% to 85%) and their interest in entrepreneurship (75%). Additionally, 60% of the participant groups successfully developed innovative business plans. This activity contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in creating decent work and promoting sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought various benefits, but it also poses significant risks to the well-being of individuals, especially the younger generation. The phenomenon of online loans and online gambling poses a serious threat among students, who often lack financial literacy and awareness of digital risks. This research aims to raise students' awareness of the dangers of online lending and online gambling through an education and socialization program at SMAN 1 Sigli, Aceh. The program was implemented using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, which includes four phases: identification, needs determination, intervention, and evaluation. The results showed that after participating in the program, there was a significant increase in students' understanding of the risks of online loans and online gambling, as well as a change in attitudes towards both issues. In addition, teachers involved in the program reported increased confidence in delivering related materials to students. These findings suggest that an interactive and comprehensive educational approach can be effective in protecting students from the risks of online lending and online gambling. Recommendations for further development include implementing similar programs in other schools, developing more comprehensive educational materials, and increasing parental and community involvement in prevention efforts. This research contributes to the development of Islamic financial literacy, digital risk awareness, and supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

This community service aims to provide Sharia-based family finance socialization for women in Aceh Jaya Regency, Aceh. This activity was motivated by the low literacy level regarding Sharia-based family financial management in Aceh Province, especially among women. So, the service activities aim to increase understanding of Sharia-based family financial management, especially among women in Aceh Jaya Regency, Aceh Province. Service activities include preparation for activities, implementation of activities, and evaluation of activities. Implementing activities are planned in coordination with the Dinas Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Perempuan, dan Keluarga Berencana (DPMPKB) Aceh Jaya regarding availability, location, and activity participants. Activities were carried out involving women in Aceh Jaya Regency, Aceh. The Sharia-based family financial management material is delivered through discussions and questions and answers. Evaluation of the implementation of service activities is reflected in the presence and enthusiasm of participants in listening to the material presented. Community service activities provide positive results by increasing participants' understanding of Sharia-based family financial management.

Abstract

Sharia cooperatives have emerged as an alternative solution in poverty alleviation efforts, especially in Aceh Province, which has officially implemented a Sharia-based financial system. This study aims to explore the role of Sharia cooperatives in empowering impoverished communities through a qualitative descriptive approach informed by a literature review. Based on a review of more than 25 national and international academic sources, this study highlights how sharia cooperatives provide inclusive financial access, create employment opportunities, and promote economic independence, particularly for vulnerable groups, including women and Micro And Small Enterprises (MSMEs). The findings demonstrate that sharia cooperatives not only enhance economic welfare but also foster social solidarity, expand access to decent housing, and integrate Islamic values into community life. In addition, sharia cooperatives also support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in the aspects of poverty alleviation (SDG 1) and women's empowerment (SDG 5). Despite facing structural challenges such as low managerial capacity and regulatory support, sharia cooperatives still have great potential as a value-based economic instrument in realizing a just and prosperous society. This study recommends integrating sharia cooperatives into the national digital-based economic ecosystem to strengthen their contribution to inclusive and equitable development.

Abstract

This study investigates how physical evidence in Middle Eastern–themed restaurants influences revisit intention in Banda Aceh and whether Muslim customer satisfaction mediates that relationship. Motivated by the growth of halal dining and the centrality of servicescape to Muslim diners’ experiences, the research addresses limited empirical evidence in this specific cultural setting. A cross-sectional survey was administered to 300 Muslim customers who had visited at least one target restaurant; responses were captured on a five-point Likert scale using reflective indicators for physical evidence, customer satisfaction, and revisit intention. Data were analyzed with partial least squares structural equation modeling (SmartPLS 3.0) and bootstrapping. Measurement results showed strong reliability and convergent–discriminant validity across constructs. Structurally, physical evidence had a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction and revisit intention, while customer satisfaction also significantly increased revisit intention. The model explained a substantial share of variance in customer satisfaction and revisit intention, and mediation testing indicated that customer satisfaction partially carried the effect of physical evidence on revisit intention. These findings highlight that an Islamic-aligned servicescape—covering architecture and interior, Islamic visual cues, cleanliness, absence of non-sharia activities, prayer facilities, and transparent transactions—directly encourages return visits and, through enhanced satisfaction, further strengthens customers’ intentions to revisit. The study contributes context-specific evidence for halal hospitality management and suggests that operators should jointly invest in servicescape design and experience orchestration to build repeat patronage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan konsep lean manufacturing melalui proses panen Tandan Buah Segar Kelapa Sawit petani swadaya sehingga pemborosan waktu panen yang terjadi melalui alat mekanisasi pertanian dapat ter-identifikasi lalu diminimasi. Identifikasi pemborosan dilakukan melalui pengamatan dan kuesioner. Hasil identifikasi yang didapat menggunakan kuesioner digunakan sebagai dasar menentukan alat pemetaan VALSAT untuk digunakan dalam analisis. Identifikasi pemborosan dengan kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa bagian proses panen TBS mengunakan peralatan mekanisasi pertanian yang paling banyak menghasilkan pemborosan, selanjutnya bagian pengangkutan TBS ke TPH dan pemborosan berikutnya pada bagian memasukan TBS ke mobil yang juga mengunakan peralatan mekanisasi pertanian. Berdasarkan konsep Lean Manufacturing urutan pemborosan panen TBS adalah: (1) waiting yang memiliki nilai rata-rata 4,44; (2) transportation 2,50; (3) defects 1,89; (4) processing 1,50; (5) ) overproduction 1,33 (6) motion 1,28 (7) inventory 1,17 dan waste 7+1 overal structure1,11. Melalui Value Stream Mapping (VSM) kondisi saat ini diketahui bahwa total waktu proses panen TBS adalah 35.990 detik dengan kapasitas panen sebesar 7 ton TBS per dua hari dengan jumlah pekerja panen sebanyak 8 orang. Rancangan usulan perbaikan dapat menurunkan total waktu panen menjadi 25.190 detik sekaligus meningkatkan kapasitas panen 7 ton TBS/hari dan hanya menggunakan 5 pekerja panen.
