Abstract

The Merbah Cerucuk bird species (Pycnonotus goiavier) with the order Passeriformes, Family Pycnonotidae and Genus Pycnonotus is an important part of the forest ecosystem, this bird plays a role in dispersal of seeds, controlling insects, and maintaining ecosystem balance. The aim of this research is to observe the feeding behavior of Merbah Cerucuk birds in the Pocut Meurah Intan Grand Forest Park area with the method used being focal animal sampling and qualitative descriptive data analysis. Merbah cerucuk birds eat by pulling small fruit directly from the stalk with their beak. The cerucuk merbah bird will swallow small fruit directly, some merbah birds are seen eating fruit by peeling the fruit or ripping and tearing the fruit using their beaks until they are small and then swallowed.Keywords: Pocut Meurah Intan Grand Forest Park, Merbah Cerucuk Bird (Pycnonotus goiavier), Feeding behavior.

Abstract

Usaha untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan keamanan pangan telah diperkaya dengan beragam teknologi. Salah satu cara teknologi yang dapat digunakan adalah metode iradiasi pangan. Teknologi iradiasi melibatkan penggunaan sinar ionisasi untuk mengurangi jumlah mikroorganisme patogen dan menghambat pertumbuhan mikroba spoilage serta dapat memperpanjang umur simpan produk pangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendukung peningkatan mutu dan keamanan pangan secara umum Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam studi ini adalah tinjauan pustaka.hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Selama proses pengolahan, teknologi pangan memungkinkan penggunaan bahan yang aman dan bergizi untuk meningkatkan mutu pangan. Melalui pengembangan teknologi pangan yang efisien, mutu pangan dapat ditingkatkan dengan mengurangi atau menghilangkan mikroorganisme patogen, mengoptimalkan kandungan nutrisi, dan meningkatkan karakteristik sensorik pangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa radiasi dapat mengurangi tingkat bakteri seperti Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, dan Escherichia coli pada berbagai produk pangan, termasuk ayam, sapi, makanan laut, buah-buahan, sayuran, dan biji-bijian. Penerapan iradiasi pangan dianggap sebagai metode yang lebih efektif daripada metode lainnya.Katakunci: : Pengolahan pangan secara irradiasi, dan keamanan pangan

Abstract

Pine is a type of plant that can grow in various environmental conditions and soil contours. Pine plants can even grow on steep land contours, such as ravines or mountains. This study aims to identify and describe the morphological characteristics of male and female strobilus in Pinus sp. which is in the Tahura Pocut Merah Intan area, Aceh Besar. The research was carried out using an observational approach through direct observation of the strobilus morphology found at the research location. Samples of male and female strobilus were collected and analyzed to identify differences in shape, size and morphological structure of the two. The results showed that the male strobilus has a smaller shape with slimmer scales and a greenish yellow color, while the female strobilus is larger with wider scales and a reddish color. Other differences can be seen in the position and number of scales on each strobilus, as well as the distribution of pollination in the two types of strobilus. This research provides a deeper understanding of the morphological differences between male and female strobilus in Pinus sp. which is important to support conservation efforts and management of natural resources in the Tahura Pocut Merah Intan area, Aceh BesarKeywords: Morphology, male strobilus, female strobilus, Pinus sp., Tahura Pocut Meurah Intan.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran yang monoton dan kurang interaktif menyebabkan hasil belajar yang belum optimal pada siswa di MAT Daarut Tahfizh Al-Ikhlas, terutama pada mata pelajaran yang membutuhkan interaksi langsung dan pemahaman yang mendalam. Media interaktif dipilih sebagai altenatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pemanfaatan media interaktif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMA pada materi keanekaragaman hayati. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 di MAT Daarut Tahfizh Al-Ikhlas. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes untuk mengukur hasil belajar sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media interaktif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dilihat melalui nilai rata-rata pre-test sebesar 34 dan       post-test 82,44. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa media interaktif dapat menjadi altenatif yang efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi keanekaragman hayati.Kata kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Media Interaktif, Hasil Belajar, Keanekaragaman  Hayati

Abstract

Plant growth and development materials contain abstract concepts that require in-depth understanding. This study aims to examine the improvement of research parameters using a cooperative model on plant growth and development material. The research method used literature study with secondary data from research articles. Data were presented in tabular form and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that learning models such as discovery learning, problem-based learning, guided inquiry, and cooperative method of Two Stay-Two Stray (Ts-Ts) type were used in plant growth and development material. The application of cooperative models can improve students' activities, learning outcomes, and interest in the material of plant growth and development.Key words: Learning activity, learning outcomes, plant growth and development material, learning models.

Abstract

Lichens are symbiotic organisms formed by the association between fungi and algae or cyanobacteria, playing a crucial role in ecosystems as indicators of environmental quality due to their sensitivity to pollution and climate change. These organisms are found in various habitats, including forests, rocks, and soil, and are capable of adapting to extreme environments. In the Pocut Meurah Intan Forest Park area, lichens thrive in high-humidity zones and supportive microhabitats, reflecting the forest ecosystem's health. Besides contributing to decomposition processes and providing nutrients to other plants, lichens are also vital for scientific research, particularly in understanding the impacts of climate change and pollution. This study aims to identify and document the diversity of lichen species in this area. A field survey method using purposive sampling was employed to collect samples from various locations with differing microhabitats. The results reveal significant variations in lichen species, indicating diverse microhabitat conditions and supporting ecosystem sustainability. This study provides fundamental information beneficial for conservation efforts and natural resource management in the area

Abstract

In learning, students feel less enthusiastic and less interesting in the learning process because students are only focused on the teacher and the package book so that students only listen so that there is no interaction by students. Efforts in overcoming these problems are one of them with the application of snakes and ladders game learning media. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning outcomes of students in class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Banda Aceh. This study used a pre-experimental method using a one group pretest-posttest desaign type of design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII A SMP Negeri 10 Banda Aceh, while the sample in this study were class VIII A students totalling 26 students. The technique in collecting data in this study was using pre-test and post-test test questions. Analysis of learning outcomes using the N-Gain formula and t-test. The results showed that the first day student learning activity was 80% including the Very Active category. The second meeting there was an increase in student learning activities, namely an average percentage value of 91.37% including the Very Active category. Analysis of student learning outcomes seen from the data obtained t-count of 45.69 and t-table obtained by 2.059. The results of these calculations can be concluded that tcount> ttable (45.69> 2.059) so that Ha is accepted while H0 is rejected.Key words: Snakes and Ladders Media, Respiratory System, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Pocut Merah Intan Botanical Forest Park (Tahura) in Aceh Besar has many plant species, including herbaceous plants. This study aims to identify the types of herbaceous plants in this area and see their distribution patterns in various local ecosystems. The research method used field surveys, sampling, and taxonomic analysis using reference books. The results of the study found 10 species of herbaceous plants from 8 families consisting of Euphorbiaceae, Asteraceae, Rubiaceae, Poaceae, Convolvulaceae, Cyperaceae, Araceae, Orchidaceae. most dominant family Poaceae, and Araceae, most dominant family Poaceae, Fabaceae, and Asteraceae. The conclusion of this study shows the importance of maintaining herbaceous plant diversity because of its benefits to the ecosystem and its economic and medicinal potential. This study provides preliminary data for further research and management of conservation areas.

Abstract

The addition of food chemicals is an activity in food processing. The addition of food chemicals in the food industry aims to improve quality, extend shelf life, and maintain product safety and taste. One of the additives that is often used is sodium benzoate. sodium salts from benzoic acid. Sodium benzoate serves as a preservative that prevents the growth of microorganisms, especially fungi and some types of bacteria, which can cause damage to food products. The use of sodium benzoate as a preservative has been widely recognized, especially in products with high water content and susceptible to microbial contamination, such as soft drinks, sauces, jams, and other processed foods. The method used for the creation of this review article is a literature study
