Abstract

Zakat is an essential Islamic economic tool to mobilize assets to alleviate poverty and create prosperity. This paper discusses the relationship between zakat, primarily productive zakat, poverty, and welfare from the Islamic perspective. With the potential for extraordinary zakat collection, it is expected that the distribution of zakat will have a tremendous impact on improving the welfare of the mustahik. It is imperative to measure the impact of zakat distribution on mustahik, especially when using appropriate analysis. CIBEST is an analytical tool capable of measuring these impacts from two viewpoints: material and spiritual perspectives. Zakat collection organizations and academics should utilize this analytical tool more to evaluate zakat distribution programs.

Abstract

The focus of this research are: (1) the forms of Banjarese beliefs in terms of: a) menyanggar banua ritual, b) membuang pesilih ritual, and c) feeding ceremonies (sasajen) to the supernatural, and (2) criticism of Shaykh Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari against the Banjarese beliefs. According to Al-Banjari their acts were wasting valuable property (mubazzir) and following the footsteps of Satan including polytheism and worst heresy

Abstract

The development of Islamic banking, especially in Indonesia, is currently very perspective. Therefore there is trust from the community must always be maintained. Efforts to develop and trust must support two aspects, namely the implementation of transparency with Islamic ethics and a sense of foundation that provides certainty and a sense of justice. As a sharia banking, the operational basis is Islamic law, thus the readiness of Islamic law must always exist and be able to overcome the development of the development of the Islamic banking world. This paper is only a small part of the discussion to be approved and legal norms of sharia banking are made.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the phenomenon of the proliferation of zikir assemblies in the urban and rural communities, with various motives for their emergence and what benefits are generated by their existence. This phenomenon is fascinating to convey because there is a link between the spiritual and social dimensions. Mistakes in understanding will have fatal consequences for the people themselves. This study uses a normative and descriptive social approach, concluding that the zikir assembly phenomenon began to grow in the reform era around the 1990s. The zikir activities involve many people as Zikir Akbar, Zikir Nasional, Istighosah, Yasinan, Tahlilan, Mujahadahan. The motives for various activities include getting out of a crisis, calamities praying, treatment goals, facing a national exam, just routine activities, celebrations, salvation, thanksgiving or prayer for the soul, even as a mass rally to support specific candidates. The existence of the zikir assembly has many benefits, both from the spiritual aspect and the social aspect. Finally, it can be said that a zikir assembly is a place where the people need to grow and cultivate a sense of diversity.

Abstract

This article will describe strengthening the competence of counselors in providing Islamic counseling guidance services. The research method used is literature study with documentation as a data collection technique. The result of research found that a counselor‘s competence becomes the indicator for carrying out an effective counseling. A competent counselor will gain trust from his/her client so they eventually decide to get helps from the counselor. This competency is also required to make the process of counseling becomes more efficient. Because of its importance, it is necessary for counselors to develop their counseling competences. In addition, in giving Islamic guidance and counseling, which is carried out based on the basis of Quran and Hadist, the competence is a must for helping the clients aware of their potentials and nature. Islamic morality becomes the footing of an Islamic counselor in helping the client solve the problems of his life. This makes the clients have an awareness of the urgency of religion that is more than just a guide to worship, but also a solution in life. By cultivating a consensual belief in Islamic counseling becomes a means to preach related to religious perfection. Therefore, the competence of counselors must always be improved.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has prompted changes in market behavior in all sectors of life, including paying zakat. Donors mostly use online and digital media to fulfill their obligation to pay zakat. Rumah Zakat takes advantage of this moment to maximize its marketing communications so that it becomes an international philanthropic institution based on professional empowerment. This study describes the implementation of Rumah Zakat's marketing communication strategy in 2022 using Philip Kotler's theory of effective marketing communication and applies a qualitative description method of literature from various relevant references. The results of the study show that the marketing communication strategy of Rumah Zakat in 2022 is as follows: the target market is donors from individuals, corporations, and communities; promotional objectives meet the needs of donor readiness to donate until decision making; message design using the rationality of zakat, encouraging zakat, doing good and sharing happiness through the hashtag #saatnyaTumbuhBersama; the format of the message conveyed is very strong, easy to understand and fun; communication channels using private and non-private channels; sources of messages from internal and external with the dominance of young people.

Abstract

The rise of cases of spreading hoax news in Indonesia is a negative impact of the development of digital technology and social media which is not balanced with people's digital literacy. Cases of fake and fake news (Hoax) are increasing in Indonesia every year. Kominfo for 24 hours 7 days monitors cyber crime on social media related to hoax information, and almost every day finds disinformation on social media. Tackling the spread of negative content on social media requires digital media literacy skills. However, the Insight Center data survey shows that the digital media literacy of the community is still low, where the national digital literacy index level is still at a score of 3.47 where digital literacy is at the middle level. The survey also shows that the ability to process information, data literacy and critical thinking still has a low score. This journal aims to analyze the digital literacy competence of the community to deal with hoax news content on social media.

Abstract

Islamic da'wah institution, which focuses on education, is currently experiencing a decline. The change proves this in the social order, which is very far from normative values. In line with the technological development that hits almost most people in various parts of the world, it has brought societal changes. The most fundamental change is in the behavior in society, which now requires da'wah interpreters to discover the most effective method and follow the level of community behavior development. A change for a better life is the hope of every human, and it can be realized if there is a concrete, structural and maximal effort. The boarding school of Hidayatullah is an agent of change based on cultivating and building human characters. In this context, the researcher focuses on the effort of this school in creating a student with noble characters and behaviors and some factors which influence it in implementing the da'wah strategies by using the qualitative method approach, and the data collections are gathered by, and documentation. This research aims to explore the strategies teachers implement to build noble characters of santri. The findings show their strategies are standard rules implementation, an exemplification, and extracurricular activities.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the internalization process and social challenges regarding the mandatory use of the veil for the Dayah (Pesantren) Ma'hadal 'Ulum Diniyah Islamiyah (MUDI) students of the Samalanga Grand Mosque, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province. This study uses a symbolic interactionism theory approach from George Herbert Mead. The results showed that the use of the veil for Dayah MUDI students contained the meaning of the identity symbol of Islamic teachings in totality (kāffah), preventive actions from negative actions, and at the same time Islamic da'wah bi al-ḥāl. The objectification of the meaning of the veil for the students of MUDI developed through a process of social interaction constructed by the rules in the MUDI environment. Meanwhile, female students' obstacles to using the veil outside the MUDI environment, namely the individual mental factors of students, family environmental factors, and negative social stigma factors in society. The limitations of this research can also be the object of further research. It has not yet identified the form or pattern of the environmental response of the santriwati family and the broader social community to the implementation of the mandatory use of the veil for MUDI students.
