Abstract

Abstract

This study analyzes the application of Two-Way Symmetric communication strategies in overcoming food colonisation polemics that emerged from content creator Dara Sarasvati's humanitarian actions in Papua in May 2025. This issue develops when the narrative of food aid distribution is considered to have the potential to replace local food and trigger public criticism related to covert food colonization. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through social media content analysis, activity documentation, and literature studies. The results show that the application of the Two-Way Symmetric communication model is effective in mitigating issues through the direct involvement of local communities as parallel partners, collaborative content production, and culturally sensitive approaches. This strategy is realized through workshops on economic empowerment of Papuan mothers, transparency of public communication, and strengthening the local food system. The findings indicate that participatory and inclusive communication is able to transform negative perceptions into support for sustainable humanitarian action. The implications of the research contribute to the development of ethical and responsive crisis communication practices to sensitive issues in customary territories, as well as become a reference for communication practitioners in handling public figure controversies in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between earphone use and hearing impairment among 2022 cohort students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Prima Indonesia. The research employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 37 respondents were selected based on predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria, including being an active 2022 cohort student, using earphones, and consenting to undergo a pure-tone audiometry test. Data were collected through questionnaires and audiometry examinations, then analyzed using SPSS with normality tests and presented in distribution tables. The results indicate that the majority of respondents were female (78.4%) within the age range of 20–22 years, with most using earphones 1–3 days per week, for 1–3 hours, and at an intensity level below 60%. Audiometric findings revealed that 89.2% of respondents had normal hearing, while 10.8% experienced mild sensorineural hearing loss. These findings suggest that although most respondents remain within the normal category, there is an indication of hearing impairment among students who excessively use earphones. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of awareness among students to maintain hearing health by limiting both the duration and volume of earphone usage.

Abstract

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a source of non-conventional financing that can be used as an alternative for local governments in providing infrastructure and development due to not maximizing regional income. The Bogor City Government realizes the importance of using CSR as a source of non-conventional financing by enacting Regional Regulation no. 6 of 2016 and Bogor Mayor Regulation No. 69 of 2017. This regulation is expected to become the legal basis for the Bogor City Government to establish a mechanism for implementing corporate CSR in an integrated and sustainable manner. Thus, the Bogor City Government can direct the company's CSR programs so that they are aligned with the Bogor City development priority programs. This study aims to determine the implementation of CSR policies in Bogor City. Data collection was carried out through document review and in-depth interviews to then be analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. The results of the study show that CSR regulations in Bogor City have not been fully implemented, especially those related to CSR financing, implementation mechanisms, monitoring and control, as well as awarding and administrative sanctions. The regulation, which should have been implemented gradually since 2016, has not yet been socialized optimally to all companies in Bogor City, one of which is due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When associated with the theory of policy implementation, Bogor City already has an organization according to CSR policies, with the establishment of a facilitation team and secretariat, as well as a CSR forum. However, there is not yet a common interpretation of CSR policies, especially among companies, so that the impact on the not yet optimal application of Bogor City's CSR policies. The incompatibility of the implementation of this CSR policy ultimately has an effect on the not maximal contribution of CSR to the development of Bogor City.
