Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation on marketing performance mediated by organizational ambidexterity. The unit analysis for this study is employees who work at Bina Insani University, located in Bekasi City, West Java Province. This research uses quantitative methods. The population of this study were 100 Bina Insani University employees. Total respondents are 100 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires through the census method. Data were analysed using Partial Least Square. This study confirms that market orientation does not influence marketing performance significantly. However, it confirmed the direct impact of positive and significant entrepreneurial orientation on marketing performance. This study also confirms the role of organizational ambidexterity as a mediator in the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and marketing performance but not in the relationship between market orientation and marketing performance. Thus, Bina Insani University needs to always improve the implementation of its entrepreneurial orientation and organizational ambidexterity to ensure the improvement of its marketing performance.

Abstract

This research is based on the phenomenon of the city of Bandung which has a large and dense population and a high level of building density, so it is at risk of various disasters. One of the disaster risks that is quite vulnerable is the occurrence of fires in slums and densely populated areas. The high potential for fires and cases of fire incidents in the city of Bandung are empirically caused by various problems, including; Firefighters are hampered on their way, lack of understanding and knowledge of the public about fire services when providing information on fires, and traffic jams that occur on the highway, as well as crowds of residents who see the fire incident, making it difficult for firefighters to put out the fire. It is hoped that these various problems can be resolved immediately through policy synergy between the Bandung City Fire and Disaster Management Service and various other relevant agencies, so that the handling of fires in the City of Bandung can be carried out more effectively and efficiently. In line with this context, this study uses a qualitative approach through descriptive methods. Meanwhile, data collection techniques were carried out using in-depth interviews, literature studies, observation and documentation. The results of the study found that in order to synergize policies in handling fires in the city of Bandung, a clear concept and parameters were needed, so that they could be used as guidelines or references for all stakeholders involved in synergizing fire management policies. The parameters in question include; there is a common perception, potential resources, communication patterns, attitudes of policy actors, and the existence of an organizational structure.

Abstract

The development and advancement of technology are entering a new father, where almost all aspects of life are using and utilizing technology a lot. The presence of technology aims to make it easy for users to meet human needs in activities and also provide comfort to its users. Dynamic technological advances demand government readiness to balance these developments; using and applying artificial intelligence (Artificial intelligence/AI) in public service is possible because it will increase public trust in the government. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive method, which aims to describe social phenomena that occur in society, which are then collected and analyzed to describe and describe existing phenomena, both natural and human-made, which pay more attention to characteristics, quality, and interrelationships between activities.

Abstract

Back pain is pain that occurs in the lumbosacral area. The phenomenon of back pain experienced by pregnant women is one of the most frequently reported complaints. The purpose of this study was to find out what are the non-pharmacological interventions to reduce back pain in pregnant women. This study is a literature review to study non-pharmacological interventions to reduce back pain in pregnant women. Sources for conducting this literature review included ScienceDirect search studies, Google scholar, Sage journal and PubMed. There are several interventions that can be done to reduce back pain in pregnant women non-pharmacologically, namely unsupervised water exercises, Ear Acupuncture, Topical Use of Rosa Damascena (Rose) Oil, Yoga, Endorphine Massage, Effleurage Techniques and Warm Compresses and Effleurage Massage and Breath Relaxation In. Non-pharmacological interventions have significant value in reducing back pain in pregnant women and are safe to use.

Abstract

This study examines the importance of taboo meaning in the Bugis community in Tanah Pilih Village, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. The purpose of this study is to describe the importance of the meaning of taboo associations in the Bugis community of Tanah Pilih Village, Banyuasin Regency. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, ethnographic approach. Data was collected from six informants. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observation, recording, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The subjects of this study were individuals who had a deep understanding of taboos in the village of Tanah Pilih. The results of the study revealed fifteen taboo association meanings. Of the six informants, five members of the spark plug community still believed in and adhered to the taboos, while one informant did not believe in the taboos. Taboos are meant to be associated with the goal of educating children, ensuring that their behavior and attitudes remain appropriate, and promoting the ethical values ​​of respect and decency. Tabu is the first choice of Bugis parents to proactively combat the negative effects of globalization on their children.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus, especially type 2 is a disease that is quite deadly. One of the causes of this disease is an unhealthy lifestyle in the community. This study then aims to look at how people's lifestyle patterns can cause diabetes mellitus. This research is qualitative research with a literature review method. The data used in this research comes from various relevant research results and studies. The results of this study then found that eating fast food can increase the sugar and fat content, which then disrupts blood regulation and insulin resistance. Then less physical activity causes the body's sensitivity to insulin to decrease. These things then lead to the development of diabetes mellitus due to an imbalance in insulin production with the body's needs. Therefore, a healthy lifestyle can increase insulin sensitivity and reduce the impact of the risk of diabetes mellitus.

Brazil is renowned as the world's largest producer and exporter of coffee, playing a pivotal role in the global coffee industry. This article provides a comprehensive review of coffee cultivation, processing, and the coffee industry in Brazil. It examines the historical context, geographical factors, economic significance, and environmental impact of coffee production in the country. The article also explores the challenges faced by the Brazilian coffee industry, such as climate change, sustainability issues, and market fluctuations. Through an in-depth analysis of the Brazilian coffee sector, this study contributes to a better understanding of the complexities and dynamics of coffee production in one of the most significant coffee-producing nations.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to examine the influence of business ethics and corporate governance on the sustainability of family businesses, with company size as a mediating variable. The size of the company is a parameter for assessing and determining the scale of the enterprise. The population in this study consisted of 38 companies that were members of the West Java Jamu Entrepreneurs Association. The determination of the number of samples used purposive sampling with criteria in the form of a family business, so that the sample used was 12 family business companies with 48 respondents. Data collection techniques are carried out by using several instruments, namely questionnaires, interviews, and field observations. According to the findings of this study, business ethics has a positive impact on the long-term viability of a family business. Good corporate governance positively affects the sustainability of the family business. Meanwhile, the size of the company also has a positive effect on the sustainability of the family business. The size of the company turns out to be able to mediate relationships in the mediation variable; the size of the company is able to influence business ethics on the sustainability of the family business, while the mediation variable shows the size of the company is able to also influence Good corporate governance is important for the sustainability of the family business. The findings of this study provide useful information for herbal medicine company owners related to the influence of the variables studied. These findings are useful for employers to better understand the dynamics of family business sustainability in promoting business ethics, good governance, and company size.
