Abstract

Smart homes have experienced rapid development with the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The use of IoT in the context of home security provides the ability to control, monitor, and secure the home environment more efficiently and effectively. However, the increasing connection of these devices also brings significant security risks, such as threats to personal data, privacy, and system integrity. This study explores the latest approaches and technologies in securing IoT-based homes. The main focus is on identifying and mitigating security risks that arise from the connectivity of devices such as CCTV cameras, door sensors, alarm systems, and other control devices. The research method involves analyzing the communication protocols used, access rights management, and the implementation of encryption and other security techniques. The overall system success percentage is 85%, which shows quite good performance. However, to improve the quality of the system, further attention is needed to the stability of the internet network used by NodeMCU. In conclusion, the integration of IoT in smart homes promises convenience and comfort, but must be accompanied by serious efforts to ensure user security and privacy are maintained.

Abstract

Penyakit akibat gigitan nyamuk seperti Demam Berdarah, Chikungunya, Malaria, dan Filariasis terus menjadi masalah serius di daerah tropis, termasuk Jawa Timur yang menunjukkan peningkatan kasus signifikan pada awal 2024. Tingginya angka kasus ini, didukung rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat akan kebersihan lingkungan, serta kesulitan membedakan gejala penyakit oleh awam, sering mengakibatkan penanganan yang keliru dan terlambat. Mengatasi tantangan tersebut, penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem pakar diagnosis penyakit akibat gigitan nyamuk yang dirancang untuk membantu identifikasi penyakit secara cepat dan akurat. Sistem ini mengimplementasikan metode Dempster Shafer untuk menangani ketidakpastian data, memungkinkan diagnosis yang lebih presisi mendekati rekomendasi ahli. Hasilnya berupa aplikasi berbasis website yang nantinya dapat digunakan oleh tenaga medis dan masyarakat sebagai alat bantu deteksi dini penyakit akibat gigitan nyamuk.

Abstract

Perpustakaan berperan penting dalam mendukung pendidikan. Dengan kemajuan teknologi, perpustakaan kini tidak hanya hadir dalam bentuk fisik, tetapi juga digital yang dapat diakses kapan saja dan di mana saja selama pengguna terhubung dengan internet. Di Desa Kalinganyar, akses ke perpustakaan fisik masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan perpustakaan digital di desa tersebut menggunakan model Incremental. Pengembangan perpustakaan digital ini melibatkan beberapa pihak, diantaranya kepala desa, pegawai desa, dan anggota karang taruna. Pengembangan sistem informasi perpustakaan digital ini dilakukan secara bertahap sesuai dengan konsep model Incremental. Pada increment pertama, fokus pengembangan ada pada fungsi-fungsi dasar perpustakaan digital, sementara increment kedua berfokus pada  penambahan fitur berdasarkan kebutuhan desa. Pengujian kualitas aplikasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan standar ISO 9126. Uji kualitas menggunakan standar ISO 9126 ini melibatkan 23 responden yang menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengembangan aplikasi dapat dikatakan sangat baik, yaitu Functionality 95.82%, Usability 92.69%, dan Portability 94.95%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, aplikasi ini dinyatakan layak digunakan.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and rapid advancements in digital technology, information systems play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency across various sectors, including education and industry. One of the critical applications of information systems lies in warehouse management and procurement processes. This study aims to design and develop a web-based warehouse management and e-procurement information system for the Logistics Engineering Technology Study Program (TRLOG) at Jambi Polytechnic. The proposed system is intended to support practical learning activities, particularly in the Procurement Management course, by providing a realistic simulation of the e-procurement process—ranging from vendor registration, proposal submission, evaluation, to winner selection and purchasing procedures. The research methodology comprises a literature review, requirements analysis, system design, and web-based implementation. The findings indicate that the implementation of this information system significantly improves the effectiveness and efficiency of practical learning, facilitates logistics data management, and enhances students’ comprehension and preparedness for real-world industrial practices. Accordingly, the developed e-procurement and warehouse management system is expected to serve as an innovative and technology-driven solution for supporting vocational education.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan penggunaan teknologi informasi, khususnya melalui platform electronic commerce (e-commerce), telah memberikan peluang besar bagi pelaku usaha dalam memperluas jangkauan pasar. Di Indonesia, pemanfaatan e-commerce terus meningkat seiring dengan berkembangnya jumlah pelaku usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) yang menjadi pendorong signifikan pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional. Namun demikian, UMKM Kota Jambi masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, terutama dalam hal promosi produk. Keterbatasan waktu, minimnya pemahaman mengenai pemasaran digital, dan ketidakmampuan menentukan platform daring yang tepat menjadi hambatan utama dalam meningkatkan daya saing UMKM. Selain itu, promosi yang masih bersifat konvensional menyebabkan jangkauan pemasaran menjadi terbatas. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, penelitian ini merancang sebuah sistem e-commerce yang dikelola oleh Dinas Perdagangan dan Perindustrian Kota Jambi sebagai sarana digital terpadu untuk memfasilitasi pemasaran produk UMKM. Sistem ini diharapkan mampu membantu pelaku usaha mempromosikan produk secara konsisten, memperluas akses pasar, serta meningkatkan efektivitas pemasaran melalui optimalisasi digital marketing. Berdasarkan penelitian terdahulu, e-commerce dapat memberikan kemudahan bagi konsumen dalam memperoleh informasi produk dan berbelanja secara daring, namun belum banyak memanfaatkan strategi pemasaran digital secara optimal. Penelitian ini tidak hanya merancang sistem e-commerce, tetapi juga memberikan materi implementasi digital marketing bagi UMKM. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mendukung transformasi digital sektor UMKM Kota Jambi serta meningkatkan kontribusinya terhadap perekonomian daerah secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dalam kegiatan usaha telah menjadi kebutuhan utama untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan daya saing. UD Asri Raya, sebuah toko material bangunan, menghadapi tantangan dalam pengelolaan stok dan pelayanan transaksi yang masih dilakukan secara manual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan sistem website e-commerce menggunakan pendekatan User Centered Design (UCD) dan metode Agile Development. Pendekatan UCD digunakan untuk memastikan desain antarmuka dan pengalaman pengguna (UI/UX) sesuai kebutuhan pengguna, sedangkan Agile memungkinkan proses pengembangan dilakukan secara iteratif dan fleksibel. Hasil dari pengembangan ini berupa sistem berbasis web yang mencakup fitur manajemen produk, keranjang belanja, unggah bukti pembayaran, pelacakan pesanan, dan panel admin untuk pengelolaan stok serta riwayat transaksi. Pengujian sistem dilakukan menggunakan metode black-box dan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fitur berjalan sesuai dengan fungsinya. Sistem yang dibangun dapat meningkatkan akurasi pencatatan, mempercepat proses transaksi, serta memberikan pengalaman pengguna yang lebih baik di lingkungan UD Asri Raya.

Abstract

The Bang Aji Kebab culinary business in Surabaya continues to experience growth in terms of branch expansion and transaction volume, thus requiring more effective operational management. However, the sales transaction recording process is still carried out manually, which often leads to issues such as recording errors, inaccurate sales data, and delays in preparing financial and stock reports. Based on these problems, a web-based cashier system was developed as a digital solution to support operational processes, transaction recording, and stock analysis automatically, in real time, and in an integrated manner. The development method used is the Agile Model through the timebox planning stage, implemented using the Laravel 11 framework and MySQL database, and tested using the Black-Box Testing method. System quality evaluation refers to the ISO 9126 standard, which includes Usability, Accessibility, Security, and Reliability aspects. The research results show that the system operates according to operational needs, with main features such as product management, cashier transactions, receipt printing, and sales analysis functioning optimally. Functional testing using Black-Box Testing produced results that met expectations, while software quality assessment based on ISO 9126 obtained an average score of 87.25% with a "very good" category. In conclusion, this web-based cashier system is capable of accelerating transaction processes, improving the accuracy of sales recording, and providing sales analysis reports that can support business decision-making more effectively.

Abstract

This study develops a website-based attendance system with geolocation integration for MI Al-Amin employees using the Agile method. The system aims to replace manual attendance, which often leads to fraud and inefficiency. The development process involves the Agile model, which includes timebox planning, daily stand-up meetings, demonstrations, and retrospective meetings. Needs analysis was carried out through interviews, the system was designed using UML, and it was implemented as a web application that supports location-based attendance, employee management, leave management, and attendance reporting. Unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing confirm that the application meets user needs, with black-box testing used throughout the process. System quality evaluation follows the ISO 9126 standard, focusing on reliability, accessibility, security, and usability. A total of 28 respondents assessed the system using a Likert scale, resulting in an average score of 82.14%, categorized as satisfactory. These results indicate that the attendance system is feasible for use, although it still requires enhancements to security and user interface comfort.

Abstract

Narotama University Surabaya faces challenges in integrating its academic information systems, which affect operational efficiency and the quality of learning services. This study aims to design an Enterprise Architecture (EA) using the TOGAF Architecture Development Method (ADM) as a strategic information system planning approach to support campus digital transformation. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collected through interviews with eight key stakeholders, direct observation, and literature review. The findings indicate that major issues include data duplication, low system integration, and limitations in technology infrastructure. The proposed architecture design consists of integrated business, information system, and technology architectures. Furthermore, SWOT analysis is utilized to support implementation planning and architectural prioritization. The resulting Enterprise Architecture blueprint is expected to support the realization of an efficient, adaptive, and sustainable Smart Campus environment in line with Narotama University’s vision as a modern higher education institution driven by information technology.

Abstract

The Research and Community Service Institute (LP2M) of Politeknik Jambi is responsible for managing the research performance of lecturers and students. The manual data management process often leads to delays in report preparation, reduced data accuracy, and difficulties in analysis. This study designs a research performance management system using Excel Macro as a simple and lightweight solution that does not require complex database software. The method consists of requirement analysis, data structure design, development of automated input forms, and macro modules for validation, recapitulation, and report generation. The implementation results show that the system can automatically generate performance reports, accelerate the recapitulation process by up to 60%, and reduce data entry errors. The novelty of this research lies in the use of Excel Macro as an alternative tool for managing research performance in higher education institutions, where such systems are typically built using web-based applications or dedicated database platforms. This system proves to be more efficient and user-friendly, thereby improving the effectiveness of research performance management at LP2M Politeknik Jambi.
