Abstract

The problem of low investment efficiency in Indonesia as reflected by the high Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR) value. The condition is exacerbated by corrupt practices, inefficient bureaucracy, declining labor productivity, and inadequate immigration governance, which overall hamper economic growth. Through historical analysis and empirical data, this essay identifies the important role of various elements government, industry sector, society, academia, mass media, and the legal and regulatory system in creating a conducive investment climate. As a strategic solution, the author proposes the HEXAHELIX collaborative model, which is a development of the Triple and Quadruple Helix concepts, to improve investment quality, reduce corrupt practices, reform immigration policies, and optimize capital utilization. This model emphasizes the need for synergy between various stakeholders to realize bureaucratic and immigration reform, transparency in investment management, and equitable development between regions. Thus, the implementation of the HEXAHELIX collaborative strategy is expected to reduce the ICOR rate, increase productivity, and encourage inclusive and sustainable economic growth, while realizing political stability and community welfare.

Abstract

Effective quality control is a key element in maintaining competitive advantage in the food industry, especially in tofu production at the Nila Tofu Factory. This study aims to analyze the implementation of quality control in improving the quality of tofu products, focusing on technical and managerial factors. The implementation of quality control methods, such as Statistical Quality Control (SQC), Taguchi, and Six Sigma, has proven effective in identifying and reducing product defects in several tofu factories. However, this study also shows that human factors, employee motivation, and suboptimal managerial systems are the main obstacles in maintaining consistent product quality. The results of the study through interviews with the owner and employees of the Nila Tofu Factory revealed a decline in product quality, especially in terms of inconsistent texture, as well as constraints on equipment and quality control that are not well structured. Proposed improvements include the procurement of new machines, routine training, providing results-based incentives, and the implementation of clear and standardized standard operating procedures (SOPs). This study suggests the importance of integration between technical and managerial systems to ensure sustainable quality control and increase the competitiveness of tofu products in the market

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of accounting practices and their alignment with Indonesia’s Financial Accounting Standards, specifically the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM), within CV Skuyindo Jaya Group a creative service based SME located in Malang City. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through in-depth interviews with the business owner and financial manager, structured around indicators such as accounting knowledge, bookkeeping practices, reporting capabilities, and compliance with financial standards. Observations and internal financial documents were also reviewed to support the analysis. The findings reveal that while the company has adopted digital tools for basic financial transaction recording, it has yet to implement a complete accounting cycle or fully adhere to the SAK EMKM framework. A significant barrier to compliance is the limited understanding of accounting principles and the structure of financial reports, particularly regarding components such as the Notes to the Financial Statements (CaLK). Moreover, the shortage of competent human resources in accounting contributes to substandard reporting practices. This study highlights how internal organizational capacity and managerial orientation influence the extent to which financial standards are adopted, offering valuable insights into the challenges faced by non public entities in complying with national accounting regulations.
