Abstract

Background: Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is frequently observed in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF), increasing the risk of pulmonary embolism (PE). Clinical evaluation of CHF patients with suspected acute PE is challenging since these diseases share several symptoms and signs such as dyspnea. Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze whether heart failure increases the risk of DVT. Method: This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study model that analyzes and identifies venous thromboembolism in hospital patients with heart failure, does heart failure increase the risk of DVT? Result: DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) is the formation of a thrombus or blood clot that often attacks the deep veins of the lower extremities (such as the calf, femoral and popliteal veins) or deep veins in the pelvic area, more frequent in proximal than distal DVT. This condition is potentially dangerous, leading to morbidity and mortality that can essentially lead to disease. This happens all over the world. In general these diagnoses are combined in VTE (Venous Thromboembolism). In patients with DVT without PE, short-term mortality rates of 2–5% were reported. Recurrence risk is high, especially within first 6 months. Conclusion: From the results obtained we can know that Symptomatic patients with proximal DVT may present with lower extremity pain, calf tenderness, and lower extremity swelling (Kesieme et al., 2011) Same with this case, Patient was admitted to the hospital with complaints swelling of the whole body, especially the legs accompanied by pain, redness, feel warmed a few hours before the patient going to hospital.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the competitiveness of Arabica coffee commodities and analyze the impact of government policies on Arabica coffee commodities in Solok Regency. This research data analysis method uses the Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM). The results showed that the Arabica coffee plantation business in Solok Regency has competitiveness both in terms of competitive advantage and comparative advantage, where the value of the ratio of private costs and domestic cost ratios obtained is less than one, namely 0.48 and 0.41. For the impact of the Arabica coffee output policy, the private price of Arabica coffee is lower than the social price. The impact of the production input policy causes the private price of tradable input to be higher than the social price, and the impact of the input-output policy causes a decrease in the producer surplus, meaning that there is no economic incentive to increase Arabica coffee production. The suggestion from this research is expected that farmers can increase the productivity of Arabica coffee than the government is expected to expand the planting area and facilitate the provision of superior seeds. The government is also expected to stabilize the selling price of Arabica coffee at the farmer level.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the negative impact of the rapid development of globalization which is the main cause of the decline in the sense of nationalism. The decline in the spirit and attitude of nationalism among the youth is currently getting higher. Youth who should have a sense of love and pride for their country, in fact, have an indifferent attitude that results in their laziness to participate in the flag ceremony, undisciplined, preferring foreign products, and ashamed to wear their own nation's cultural attributes such as the use of batik. This opinion caused various problems among students, namely during the flag ceremony there were still many students who were not disciplined, some did not participate in the flag ceremony at all, did not memorize the Indonesian national anthem, did not memorize Pancasila, did not follow the rules and regulations, and do not respect each other. This research uses a qualitative approach and case study research methods. Data collection techniques carried out in this study were interviews, observations, and documentation studies as well as data analysis techniques by means of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification as well as data validity. The results of this study indicate that (a) The Rengasdengklok historical site is relevant to be used as a learning resource for Civics because it is full of struggle values that can be used to increase the students' spirit of nationalism. (b) The role of teachers in schools is quite good by coordinating with schools and accommodating students well. (c) The results from the use of historical sites have quite an impact as shown by changes in students' attitudes towards a better direction. (d) while in the process of utilization, there are obstacles and ways to overcome them. External and internal constraints can be resolved by coordination between all elements such as the principal, vice principal of the curriculum section, PPKn teachers, and students.
