Abstract

Abstract Along with the increase in the number of vehicles, the parking area at the north Bengkulu Regency Regen Office has a lack of parking area availability. The research objectives are : a) Knowing how much the needs of parking, and b) Designing the model and parking system that will be applied. The research method is by analyzing the number of vehicles entering the parking location, type of vehicle, how much parking capacity. the result of the study are the design of parking lost of 12.000M2. I entrance and 2 exist the number of vehicles that can be accommodated are 468 two-wheeled vehicle and 39 four-vehicles. With Parking areas as follow: A, C, D, E, G,H, J, K, L, M, N and G are two-wheeled parking (motorcycles). B, F, I, P and Q are four-wheeled parking area (cars). The parking model/patern that can be applied is the 900 angle parking pattern, by accommodating the number of vehicles reaching 350 SRP (the number of projections of addition in the next 5 years).

Abstract

Abstract Advances in technology in the industrial era now must be followed by developments that are more effective and efficient. Likewise, the problems that occur in each industrial production process, one of which is the production of palm oil processing (CPO). The problem that occurs is the presence of waste that requires special handling. There are several wastes generated from the processing of oil palm, one of which is the waste of mud and waste of boiler fuel ash. Waste sludge and ash from boiler fuel can be used to become an organic fertilizer. In the process of making fertilizer, it requires tools to make the production process effective and efficient. Hummer mill is a crushing machine for the process of making fertilizers, fertilizer ingredients that are mixed and fermented must be destroyed so that the process of continuing organic fertilizer materials is evenly distributed. Planning a Hummer mill engine design is planned according to needs begins with data collection machine functions so that designing (drawing) engine design and determine some metal materials. Considerations determining the material in accordance with the design and capacity that has been determined and needed. Based on the results of the discussion, the material used is shaft material, iron plate, unp iron, bearing, electro motor, pulley and V-belt as well as filter iron plate. The Hummer mill engine design is designed according to the needs and functions of the final destination of a fertilizer manufacturing process.

Abstract

In this modern age the elevation point can be made easily, for example taking elevation points can use GPS(Global Positioning System) or can also use google earth applications available on the internet. In civilengineering the ground elavation data must be accurate and detailed data. for that whether the above two toolcan be used for accurate and detailed ground elevation point capture.This study aims to determine the accuracy and efficiency of land elevation point taking with google earth andGPS, by comparing the elevation results between the to devices againts theodolite measurement results (T.0)and how the elevation is derived. Beginning with measurement using GPS, google earth done in Citandui streetUrban Village Muara Dua District Kampung Melayu Kota Bengkulu and compare the results of both tools to theresults of theodilite measurement (T.O) the results are closer then it is considered more accurate.From the comparison, it can be concfuded: (I) that the measurement using google carth application is moreaccurate with the average accuracy value of the whole point of the station is 84.82% while the GPS with thepercentage of accuracy is 83.41% 2) based on google earth time more efficient than GPS measuringistrument with efficient percentage value of 74,8%. Based on google carth cost more efficient 89.1% 3) Howto get elevation data using google earth and GPS is quite easy. Using google earth, done in PC or laptop usingpoogle earth application by entering coordinaes of location which have been taken using GPS measuringinstrument, using GP? only need GPS measuring instrument and done location direct research by markingstations (STA) points.

Abstract

Abstract The location of the road in Senali Village, North Bengkulu Regency is a shortcut that does not pass through the city center, if high rainfall results in water flowing through the road, as well as puddles of water around people's homes, this is due to the absence of adequate drainage channels to drain runoff. rain on roads and community sewers. The purpose of this research is to design the dimensions of road drainage in Senali Village by calculating the annual rainfall data. The results of the study showed that the condition of inundation on the Senali Village road and community houses as a result of the absence of good drainage on the road body and due to high rainfall, a drainage design was planned by calculating the intensity of rainfall for the last 15 years (data from the Statistics Agency). the amount of rainfall X1 = 4577 mm, the arithmetic mean of cumulative rain (X) = 305.13 and the standard deviation (Sx) = 77.55 and the value of the amount of rainfall for the return period T years (mm)/24 hours XT is obtained = 370.11 mm. The dimension selection is a trapezoidal model with a size of Q=0, 38 m3/second h = 0,52 m W=0,36 m B=0,53 m and A= 1,05 m.

Abstract

Along with the increase of transportation facilities, resulting in an increase in the volume of traffic in traditional markets, which can cause problems how to park vehicles that can meet all the vehicles coming, so that traffict flow can still smooth and orderly. Purwodadi market is located in the middle of the shopping and seetlement, with pass by 4 segment of road, will be done traffic engineering to know how big influence of parking at of road body which can influence road road performance in order not to experience jam, aspecially at rush hour. The objectives of the research are: 1) to find out how much impact of parking on the road body to the capacity of road service in Purwodadi market, and 2) to know the performance of Purwodadi market street with the parking of the road body. The result of this research is the average volume of traffic per segment passing trought Purwordadi Market is 5,106,70 SMP / hour on segment I, 2,412,30 SMP / hour in segment II, 2,929,35 SMP / hour in segment III and 718,50 SMP / hour in segment IV. While the degree of saturation per each segment is: in segment I with LHR 555.63 kend / jam, segment II LHR 253.92 kend / jam, LHR segment III 0f 307.93 kend / jam, and segment IV is LHR 79.83 kend / jam. The road service level obtained from the degree of saturation (DS) for the level of service road segment I, II and IV including class A, with high-speed load current condition, the driver can choose the desired speed without a hitch, where the value of road performance ratio is not affected the road capacity but influenced the speed of the vehicle. While in segment III the level of service road including class B, the current is stable but the speed of operation began to start limited by traffic, the driver has enough freedom to choose the speed.

Abstract

Congestion in the city of Bengkulu is often found on busy jams every day, namely jam jam compilation where the number of vehicles going in certain directions will be more. traffic is crowded with students, workers and employees who go to schools, campuses, workplaces and government offices so that they often do not relate to traffic regulations at crossroads, especially in the city of Bengkulu where traffic jams often occur, one of which is diverted by Four. The research methodology used is: Traffic Volume Analysis, Traffic Time Analysis, Service Level Analysis (LOS) = Service Level by collecting: the volume of traffic data or vehicles passing is done by distributing all the vehicles that were moved during the observation time. Recording is done every 15 minutes interval every hour of observation carried out on Monday, Wednesday, and starts from 07.00-09.00 (morning), 12.00-14.00 (noon), 16.00-18.00 (afternoon) From the results of the analysis carried out on traffic Traffic volume at Kompi intersection will be high when the entry and exit of school children and employees who will leave for office, namely at 07.00-09.00 with a volume of vehicles 3338 vehicles / hour or 2056 pcu / hour, then at 12.00-14.00 with a volume of 2677 vehicles / hour or 1684.3 pcu / hour, and at 16.00-18.00 with a volume of 2892 vehicles / hour or 1793.6 pcu / hour. For 6 hours the total vehicle research passing at Kompi intersection was 8907 vehicles / hour or 5533.9 pcu / hour. The highest volume and highest average speed occurs at 12.00-14.00 with a volume of 1684.3 pcu / hour and a speed of 17.67 km / hour. The performance of the Kompi Simpang service level at 07.00-14.00 depends on the service level C with a V / C 0 value, 5-0.41 while at 16.00-18.00 with a V / C value ratio of 0.43 indicates that traffic at the intersection of the company still depends on the level of satisfactory speed.

Abstract

Abstract The present paper is concerned with experimental study of performance of a vertical axis savonius wind turbine. Savonius turbine blades are made of PVC pipe and a fan to drive the turbine. The test was carried out with a different number of blades, namely 2 blades, 3 blades and 4 blades at air velocity of 3.6 m/s, 4.4 m/s and 5.8 m/s. The results obtained the highest maximum power efficiency is in the 3 blade test, namely at air velocity of 3.6 m/s of 0.156, air velocity of 4.4 m/s of 0.313 and air velocity of 5.8 m/s of 0.182. The maximum torque coefficient for the three air velocity also obtained the highest value in the 3 blade test. At a air velocity of 3.6 m/s, a torque coefficient of 0.641 is obtained, a air velocity of 4.4 m / s is 1.027 and a air velocity of 5.8 m/s is 0.745. The maximum efficiency in the 3 blades test with air velocities of 3.6 m/s, 4.4 m/s, and 5.8 m/s is obtained respectively 15.6%, 31.3% and 18.2% efficiency. In conclusion, the 3 blades wind turbine has the highest efficiency compared to the 2 and 4 blades tests. Meanwhile, the highest efficiency was obtained at a air velocity of 4.4 m / s with 3 blades, namely 31.3%.

Abstract

Abstract Pelton turbines are widely used for micro scale power plants, this research aims to study the performance of pelton turbines with blades from L bow paralon material used for power generation. The equipment used is a pelton turbine, turbine blade is made of paralon material with a width of 2.5 cm and a length of 8 cm and a height of 1.25 cm. runner diameter is 35 cm with a number of 8 blades and 16 blades. The study was carried out by varying the number of blades and the angle of blades and the flow rate with pump pressure with a slope angle of 750 and 900 and water pressure of 0.9 bar, 1.5 bar and 1.8 bar. To produce electricity, the turbine is connected to the alternator, the measurement of the power generated by the turbine is done by measuring the voltage and current generated by the generator. Pelton turbine with 8 blades with 1.8 bar pump pressure with 750 blades produces 7,343 watts of power with an efficiency of 87.18%, at an angle of 900 produces 7,06 watts of power and an efficiency of 89.11%. On the 16 blades with a pressure of 1.8 bar with an angle of 750 produces a power of 7.7418 watts with an efficiency of 91.98% and at a blade angle of 900 the power produced is 7.886 watts with an efficiency of 93.62%. So the greater the pump pressure and the greater the number of blades and blades, the greater the power and rotation of the turbine produced.

Abstract

Conveyor belt planning with a capacity of 6 tonnes / hour with a carrying distance of 12m and a slope angle of 200 for a rubber factory. The belt serves as a medium for transporting rubber raw materials, where the planned belt width is (L = 800mm) and the overall length (Ls = 24m) Where the conveyor belt is driven by a pulley whose width is 900 mm, the diameter of the pulley is (Dp = 625 mm), the driving pulley rotation (n = 24.45 rpm), the electric motor as the initial drive for moving the conveyor belt machine to move the pully is used a motor with torsional moment (T = 12906 kg / m), where the shaft material is taken from JlS steel. G. 4501. S. 45. C. Tensile stress 58 kg / mm2. Roll diameter (D = 108), the bearings used are closed type ball bearings with bearing number (6008), inner diameter (d = 40 mm), outer diameter (D = 68 mm), bearing width (B = 15 mm), Specific dynamic nominal capacity (C = 1310 kg), static nominal capacity (Co = 1010 kg).

Abstract

One of the methods in casting process is centrifugal casting. Generally, it is used to make a product in the form of cylinder or symmetric on spin mold. Thus, it is necessary to discuss further about the influence of rotation velocity variation on the quality of Aluminum casting product that enwrap mechanical characteristic and micro structure. The velocity variations that chosen are 175 rpm, 200 rpm and 235 rpm. This experiment is executed by looking at micro structure that is produced on each rotation variation especially the part of cross section of casting product. Then, it can be done a discussion about micro structure relation towards the hardness number on each rotation variation. In the observation of micro structure, grain structure that is produced by centrifugal casting is generally equiaxed and columnar with the orientation of direction in accordance with the direction of machine velocity. From the result of Vickers hardness test, it can be seen that rotation variation on 235 rpm show higher hardness number rather than another rotation variation.
