Abstract

One of the most common plastic wastes found around us is the cap of mineral water bottles. The waste of mineral water bottle caps as a filler on the basis is expected to reduce the impact of plastic waste it self and reduce rock waste in the quarry. Tests carried out by adding fillers of mineral water bottle cap waste as much as 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30%. The ability of mineral water bottle cap waste as a filler can be tested by looking at the value of the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) generated after addition. CBR testing is carried out by the laboratory CBR test method using a CBR penetration tool. From the examiners, the results show that; base A aggregate without the addition of mineral water bottle cap waste with a CBR value of 93.38%; the addition of 10% of mineral water bottle cap waste resulted in a CBR value of 98.73%. The addition of 20% obtained a CBR value of 96.55%; and an addition of 30% resulted in a CBR value of 87.65%. The addition of 10% and 20% of mineral water bottle cap waste filler can increase the CBR base A value, because it produces a larger CBR value without addition. Meanwhile, an increase of 30% will actually reduce the strength of the base itself because the resulting CBR value is smaller. The addition of filler of mineral water bottle cap waste can increase the CBR value of base A with the right composition. Utilization of mineral water bottle cap waste at base A will reduce the amount of plastic waste and reduce environmental pollution, as well as reduce the overexploitation of rocks for base A raw material.

Abstract

The supply of electricity and continuous indispensable to guarantee the operating room surgery went well, secure, and seamless. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of existing electrical installation systems in hospitals, such as electrical distribution systems, electrical installation system, grounding system and shrinkage stress occurs and light intensity on the field work in the operating room. The results of the calculations obtained for qualification In MDP incoming cables of 25.47 A using NYFGBY 4x50 mm2 cable types. Value In a cable from the outgoing to the incoming MDP SDP OK obtained at 15.32 A. In the security system at 152.09 incoming MDP A. In the security SDP of 25.47 A. Abstract

Abstrack The fin effect on heat transfer rate of a heat exchanger for laten thermal energy strorage system using the latent heat of fusion of a phase change material (PCM) has been studied. The head storage container consist of a double pipe heat exchanger, where the energy source (hot water) flows through the copper inner finned tube of 12,5 mm inside diameter with 1,75 mm thick and 1495 mm length, while the heat sink (storage PCM) fills the annulus gap (outer pipe consists of PVC of 78 mm inside diameter with thicknessof 6 mm) The PCM used in the experiments is paraffin wax of melting temperatur 44? C. Heat transfer rate and accumulated energy stored into PCM as a function of taim were determined for differentwater flow rates and water inlettemperatures.The experimental results have been compared to the one obtainedby the plaintu tube heat exchanger. The results show that substituting a seriesof fin on the surface of inner tube of heat exchanger significantly increases the heat transfer rate and accumulated energy in the system.

Abstract

Abstract The heat treatment process in metals is very useful for obtaining quality metals and having physical properties including better electrical conductivity, microstructure, density and mechanical properties, especially in terms of hardness, elasticity and workmanship of the nature of origin. This process is carried out at a temperature of 4000C for 15 minutes then cooled with a water cooling medium mixed with 200 grams of salt, 400 grams, 600 grams, 800 and 1000 grams. Test results with the value of hardness average results without treatment = 65.2, quenching water mixed with salt 200 grams = 57.8, quenching water mixed with salt 400 grams = 57.36, quenching water mixed with salt 600 grams = 76.48, quenching water mixed with salt 800 grams = 77, quenching water mixed with salt 1000 grams = 58, 42. Specimens that were subjected to heat treatment and quenched with water mixed with 600 grams and 800 grams had an increased hardness value compared to the specimen without receiving treatment, while specimens that received heat treatment of 400ºC with quenching water mixed with 200 grams of salt, 400 grams and 1000 grams had decreased hardness compared to specimens without getting different treatment. Based on the above test it can be concluded that the right amount of salt mixed with water can increase the dryness value in the specimen to be tested

Abstract

Abstract Pantai Panjang is the leading tourism icon in the city of Bengkulu with an ever increasing number of visitors each year. Pantai Panjang already has special facilities in the form of roads intended of pedestrian. However for the criteria or standard of comfort for pedestrian paths in Pantai Panjang is unknown. In calculating the level of service using qualitative data analysis methods base on interpretation of actual condition. This research was conducted in two places in Pantai Panjang, namely the Spot Center Area and the Berkas Park. In each area devided in to three segment that is starting from 16.00 to 18.00 with the duration 15 minutes for each study. The results obtained indicate that the level of pedestrian infrastructure service are B (good) that the service level based on speed is 0.9 (seconds), current is 0.3 (people / m/second), density is (people/m2). The infrastructure availability for pedestrian in Spot Centre and Berkas Park still fill the road users need.

Abstract

Congestion is often encountered during rush hour every day, when entering the clock hours where the number a vehicles going towards a certain will be more. the traffic is crowded with students, college students, workers and employees leaving for schols, campuses, workplaces and goverment offices so often do not comply with traffic rules at the intersection, especially in the city of Bengkulu frequent congestion di simpang IV in the city of Bengkulu Data collection using survey method is by conducting direct observation of real field situation, that is by calculating the length of queue and the length of queue of vehicles on each of the intersectian as well as measurement of the width of the road in each arm reviewed. This is absolutely necessary in oder to Anow the actual condition at this time, so it is hoped that there will be no mistake in evoluation and planning. Abstract

Waste is the remains of a business activity. Garbage is more synonymous with industrial-smelling things. The results of industrial processes that are no longer used are called industrial waste. However, there is one type of waste that is the most dangerous, namely B3 Waste which stands for Material, Hazardous and Toxic. One solution is to build a wastewater treatment plant using aerobic and anaerobic bio filters in the installed wastewater collection pond area. The method of data collection was carried out using a direct survey method at a predetermined research location. The data can be obtained through a direct survey at the research site. The collected data is then analyzed descriptively, namely: Water usage behavior, Waste water sources, Calculating the wastewater discharge produced in m3/day, Planning for wastewater treatment systems. From the results of data processing related to WWTP planning at the tempe factory located on Jalan Padat Karya 1A, Sumur Dewa Village, Selebar District, Bengkulu City, the following are the causes of pollution in the river due to one of them from processing tempeh production. 2 The solution for this treatment is WWTP planning using a septic tank. 3. Abstract

In an autonomy region era which is signed with appearance many new district ( Kabupaten ) is in order to faster the increasing economic country society . This program should be supported with an existence of electric power The fact that electric power isn't enough for all society especially in the country. It could be understood because generally the distance between a country is far enough and a few number of people in village . All of that make a big invest. Amount complex, the electric power from PLN far from enough. In the village is existence potential water power; nature water fall and irrigation canal that have 2.5 meters height and 250 liter's/second quantities. If two of potential water power could be exist all years long , it can be utilized to move turbine as a micro hydro electric power generator that very potential' in small village.

Abstract

The results of the tensile test on a low carbon steel plate ST 37 with a temperature of 600°C for 30 minutes then Tempering with battery water, the average non-treated tensile strain results in the yield strain uy = 16.68 Kgf /mm2 ultimate strain ou = 27.54 Kgf /mm2 breaking strain uf = 22.57 Kgf /mm2. The average result of tensile strain in tempering with air is obtained yield strain uy = 20.42 Kgf/mm2 ultimate strain ou = 26.02 Kgf / mm2 breaking strain uf = 22.19 Kgf / mm2. Result rat.a the average dance strain in tempering using battery water obtained true strain uy = 10.92 Kg /mm2 ultimate strain ou = 19.48 Kg/mm2 breaking strain uf = 21.73 Kgf /mm2 .Worst battery water as a medium refrigerant that can reduce tensile strength compared to air cooling. The results of the photo of the microstructure of the ST 37 low carbon steel plate which were heat treated at 600oC were obtained with the microstructure results with the grain size, namely Non Treatment 12.85 µm, air 15.88 m, and Battery Water 11.53 µm. the highest is with air grain size of 15.88 µm and the lowest is water battery 11.53 µm which experienced a large decrease compared to non-treatment of 12.85 µm
