Abstract

Today, since products and services are so easily replicable, companies face a challenge to differentiate themselves to compete in the market. One of the most effective ways to create difference in the market is by creating a strong brand. A strong brand image is intangible asset for companies that are difficult to imitate. This study examines the relationship between brand image and customer satisfaction. A hundred customers were used as the research sample, and the data was extracted using online questionnaires distributed to Maxx Coffee customers within Surabaya area. The data was then be analyzed with Linear Regression and be processed using SPSS 20.0. The result indicated that brand image positively affect customer satisfaction at Maxx Coffee brands in Surabaya. However, the results imply that brand image has only little contribution to customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the effects of product quality and price on buying decision for coffee product by Strada Coffee in Semarang. Sample size in this research is 96 respondents, while data are gathered by distributing Likert-scale questionnaire to all coffee consumers of Strada Coffee Semarang. Variables studied in this research are product quality and price as independent variables and buying decision variable as dependent variable. The findings reveal that product quality has effect on buying decision, while price has no effect at all.

Abstract

Institute of Business and Informatics STIKOM Surabaya (STIKOM Surabaya) is one of the private universities in Surabaya. STIKOM Surabaya has two faculties namely Faculty of Technology and Informatics, and Faculty of Economics and Business. The Faculty of Technology and Informatics has six departments, while the Faculty of Economics and Business has three departments. The department handling academic administration of students from all departments is Academic Administration and Student Affairs Department (AASA). The problem arises is STIKOM Surabaya had a will to evaluate the service quality in AASA based on student’s perceptions which would be used as an input to improve the service quality of AASA. Based on the above problem, then this study was held in order to know the influence of service quality in AASA to student’s satisfaction. The method used in this study was multiple linear regression analysis which measures the influence of service quality in AASA section to the satisfaction of the students of Institute of Business and Informatics STIKOM Surabaya and which factors of the dimensions of service quality that need to be improved. Service quality dimensions include Tangible, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. The results obtained are the dimensions of Reliability and Responsiveness have no effect on student’s satisfaction, while the dimensions of Tangible, Assurance, Empathy of service quality have a positive effect on student’s satisfaction at Institute of Business and Informatics by 63% which has a meaning that any increase of physical display dimensions, assurance, and empathy will increase student’ssatisfaction . Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, it is found that "AASA staff performance that has been neat and attractive" still needs to be improved, while other indicators of service quality tends to be very good, so it needs to be maintained.

Abstract

This study aims to prove and analyze the influence of work stress and career path towards employee motivation of Bank Jatim Surabaya, then to prove and analyze the influence of work stress and career path towards the performance of employees of Bank Jatim Surabaya, and to prove and analyze the influence of work motivation on employee performance Bank Jatim Surabaya. This study uses the method of causal study. The population used is 75 employees of Bank Jatim Surabaya. The data were collected by observing and distributing questionnaires. The analysis tool used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Smart PLS software (Partial Least Square). The results of this study indicate that (1) work stress negatively affect the Motivation of Employee at Bank Jatim Branch Surabaya; (2) Working stress affecting the performance of employees of Bank Jatim Surabaya Branch; (3) Career Level affect the Work Motivation on the employee of Bank Jatim Surabaya Branch; (4) Career Level Affects the Performance of Bank Jatim Surabaya Branch Officers; (5) Working Motivation Affects Performance at employees of Bank Jatim Surabaya Branch.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether organizational commitment, leadership style, compensation, work discipline, communication, work stress, and organizational culture influence employee work motivation at PT Mitra Andal Sejati Jakarta. The analysis carried out with a descriptive and inferential approach using multiple linear regression analysis on 84 sample people who were employees of PT Mitra Andal Sejati Jakarta. Based on the results of the study note that are organizational commitment, leadership style, compensation, communication, and organizational culture has positive effect on employee motivation, work stress has a negative effect on employee motivation and work discipline does not affect employee work motivation. Built upon the results of the study, it is also known that compensation has a dominant effect on employee work motivation of PT Mitra Andal Sejati Jakarta, therefore, it is better to pay more attention to compensation given to increase employee motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine Service Quality and Trust in Customer Loyalty PT. Sarana Bhakti Timur Surabaya. The population in this study is the service user of PT. Sarana Bhakti Timur, numbering 106 customers. Samples taken were 52 people. used as respondents in this study. Data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis, validity test and reliability test, using classical assumption deviation test and hypothesis testing. Based on the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the variable quality of service (X1) had a significant relationship on customer loyalty (Y) with t count equal to 5.668 is greater than t table of 2.00958, stating that the hypothesis to-1 in this research is proven true or can be accepted. With a significance level smaller than 0.05, the customer trust variable(X2) has a significant relationship to customer loyalty (Y) with tcount 2.485 greater than t table of 2.00958, with a significance level of less than 0.05, and service quality(X1) as well as customer trust (X2) together (simultaneously) has a significant relationship to the dependent variable, namely customer loyalty (Y), which means that overall service quality and customer trust variables have a relationship to customer loyalty variables so the hypothesis the second in this study proved the truth.

Abstract

UD Gula Nirwana is a small medium business that reprocesses coconut sugar, cane sugar and white sugar into brown sugar or vegetable sugar, UD. Gula Nirwana produces every day, so that makes it an active effrort to produce brown sugar needed by the community in general. Therefore this business can continue when production costs can be reduced one of them is by using standard costs in calculating production costs. Determination of standard costs can be an alternative in planning and controlling production costs. This study aims to see how the standard cost method applies to UD Gula Nirwana. Standard costs are costs that are used as guidelines before the production process takes place. When standard costs have been determined and the actual costs are known at the end of the production period, the standard costs and actual costs rather than produce variance or difference. Based on the calculation that the comparative analysis of standard costs with actual costs, it can be concluded that in the production of brown sugar, the difference in the cost of production of profitable raw materials and factory overhead costs is still stable and the difference in labor is still a difference in limits even though it is not profitable

Abstract

Calculation of cost of production by using the Process Costing method is the calculation of costs for certain products that are produced from month to month are the same. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the calculation of cost of production from 2015 to 2017 in the business of Oyster Mushroom owned by Mas Kantak. This research uses descriptive quantitative method so that it can find out the calculation of the cost of production from the process of making baglog of oyster mushrooms. The results obtained from this study are that production costs increase every year, so the production costs in 2015 were Rp 5,648,800 with a perunit price of Rp 1,412, in 2016 amounting to Rp 4,741,707 with a perunit price of Rp 1,435, whereas in the year 2017 production costs amounting to Rp 5,941,403 with a perunit price of Rp 1,485.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze knowledge sharing roles in developing innovation capability in order to improve individual performance. This research uses causal research type by quantitative approach. The samples used in this research are 50 businessmen of Micro, Small, and Medium Enteprises guided by Surabaya City Trade Service. Data collection is conducted by spreading questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is SEM analysis by PLS program aid. The results in this research show that: (1) There are significant influences of knowledge sharing toward individual performance in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises guided by Surabaya City Trade Service; (2) There are significant influences of knowledge sharing toward individual performance in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises guided by Surabaya City Trade Service; (3) There are significant influences of innovation capability toward individual performance in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises guided by Surabaya City Trade Service.

Abstract

The Cooperative, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Sector (CMSME) is a business sector that has proven to play an important role in overcoming the consequences and effects of teh economic crisis. The objective of this study was to determine the effects if cooperative programs, human resource capabilities and member participation on the success of Sharia savings and loan cooperatives BMT Usaha Gabungan Terpadu Sidogiri Pasuruan. The study conducted on cooperative members who minimum has been a member for 2 years. The conclusions of the research results found the effects of cooperative programs, human resource capabilities and member participation in the success of the savings and loan cooperative of Syariah BMT Usaha Gabungan Terpadu Sidogiri Pasuruan.
