Abstract

Recent breakthroughs in biotechnology have significantly advanced the potential to regenerate damaged human tissues. Innovations in stem cell science, genetic engineering, and tissue scaffolding have rapidly pushed the boundaries of regenerative medicine. Yet, numerous technical hurdles remain, particularly concerning the clinical application of gene therapy. Core objectives of gene therapy include enhancing protein synthesis within cells, suppressing overactive genes, and rectifying dysfunctional cellular mechanisms linked to disease. While viral vectors remain dominant in current clinical trials due to their effectiveness, they carry risks of immune reactions and pathogenicity. This has sparked increased interest in non-viral alternatives, which promise greater safety and versatility. Non-viral delivery methods utilize plasmid DNA systems and synthetic carriers to transport therapeutic genes and show great potential, especially when integrated with tissue engineering techniques. By combining these non-viral tools with regenerative approaches, researchers aim to more precisely control the spatial and functional behavior of introduced genes within the body. This review critically assesses the evolution and challenges of gene therapy within the broader scope of regenerative medicine, with an emphasis on emerging non-viral delivery systems and their translational promise.

Abstract

Weaknesses in a state administration system are a reproach for committing an evil act by taking advantage of a position or position. This research aims to describe the criminalization of corruption in public services in government institutions. We hear news about criminal acts of corruption almost every day, whether those who are caught red-handed (OTT) or those who are criminalized for committing corruption. Both the Government and the DPR have established joint regulations to prevent and prevent criminalization in public services that are transparent, accountable and accountable. Public Service is a pillar of a nation's progress which aims to improve the welfare of the people and is a reflection of good and authoritative good governance. This research uses The Gone theory put forward by Jack Bologne which views that the causes of corruption are opportunities, greed, needs, discovery or exposure. This study uses descriptive and library methods (library data collection) by conducting systematic analysis of all collected data as well as Normative Law, both statutory and conceptual approaches. The criminalization of corruption can be minimized with strict policies in public services by: 1. Using theories about Crime Prevention, such as Situational Crime Prevention. 2. Cultivate bureaucratic services, and always improve the time limits for processing permits, 3. Massively and systematically socialize the dangers of corruption to the public and State Civil Apparatus, 4. Establish an online-based integrated licensing system, 5. Strengthen ethics and morals in governance bureaucracy through good corporate governance,

Abstract

This study analyzed the carbon dioxide (CO?) emission factors of 27 coal-fired power plants in Indonesia using three different calculation approaches sourced from the scientific literature. This study aims to evaluate the accuracy and sensitivity of each method and examine the influence of the technical variables of the plant, namely boiler type and specification, unit capacity, and type of coal calories, on the value of specific CO? emission factors. Data were obtained from accredited emission verification institutions and analyzed in a quantitative descriptive manner with ANOVA statistical tests and correlation. The results showed that the energy output-based method (t CO?/MWh) was more representative of the actual generation conditions, with an average emission value of 1.18 t CO?/MWh. Units with supercritical technology and a capacity of >300 MW tended to have lower emission factors. In contrast, the use of low-calorie coal produces significantly higher emissions. This study provides important recommendations for direct calculation-based emission calculations, selection of low-emission technologies, and the formulation of low-carbon energy policies to support the achievement of Indonesia's NDC.

Abstract

In an agribusiness system involving agricultural supply chains, inventory recording is one of the economic resources that plays an important and strategic role, especially for the fresh fruit marketing chain, which is vulnerable to damage. Inventory is the main current asset for fruit traders in traditional markets with fast cash flow. This condition requires traders to manage and record inventory properly to maintain business continuity and minimize losses caused by damage or rotting of fresh fruit. However, in practice, fruit traders in the traditional market of Sayan Village have difficulty managing inventory, especially related to unorganized inventory accounting records. The purpose of this study was to analyze the inventory accounting system of fruit stall traders in the traditional market of Sayan Village, Ubud District, Gianyar Regency. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through a survey technique with interviews of 3 respondents, who were determined by purposive sampling. The results showed that all fruit traders selling at fruit stalls in the traditional market of Sayan Village do not record inventory accounting. This results in difficulties in determining the amount of merchandise at the end of the accounting period and calculating gross profit. To make more accurate records and improve the efficiency of agricultural businesses, traders are advised to implement a periodic inventory recording system and conduct inventory assessments using the FIFO method.

Abstract

Small businesses play a vital role in Indonesia’s economic development, yet many still struggle to meet the dynamic demands of consumers. This study aims to examine the factors influencing the marketing performance of small businesses in Bogor City by applying both descriptive and verificative research methods. A survey was conducted on 350 respondents to explore the influence of market orientation, entrepreneurial marketing, and marketing capabilities on marketing performance, as well as the mediating role of marketing capabilities. Data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with LISREL 10.2 software. The findings indicate that market orientation and entrepreneurial marketing both significantly influence marketing capabilities. In turn, marketing capabilities, market orientation, and entrepreneurial marketing each have a significant direct impact on marketing performance. Furthermore, marketing capabilities mediate the relationship between market orientation and marketing performance and partially mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial marketing and marketing performance. The novelty of this research lies in the proposed mediation model, which links marketing capabilities as a critical pathway through which market orientation and entrepreneurial marketing affect marketing performance. The implications of these findings suggest that to enhance marketing performance, small business actors must prioritize strengthening their market orientation, particularly dimensions related to customer orientation. Measurement results show that customer orientation has the strongest correlation with market growth—specifically with increased sales and market share. Therefore, business owners’ commitment to understanding and responding to customer needs should be emphasized, as it directly supports the most significant performance outcomes in small business marketing.

Abstract

This study assesses the infrastructure and service performance of the piped water supply system in Depok City, Indonesia, in relation to national and international benchmarks. Despite recent developments, the service coverage in 2024 only reached 22.33%, falling short of the RPJMN 2020–2024 target of 30%. Most residents (80.6%) still rely on groundwater due to affordability, accessibility, and trust issues. Projections indicate a substantial gap in water treatment capacity and reservoir storage, with an additional 1,250 L/s of treatment capacity and 40,000 m³ of storage required by 2045 to meet demand. The analysis also reveals a persistent Non-Revenue Water (NRW) rate of around 20%, indicating systemic inefficiencies. Institutional fragmentation and low community uptake of piped water services further hinder progress. Recommendations include infrastructure expansion, NRW reduction, stakeholder coordination, and community engagement. Furthermore, adopting smart water technologies and implementing a more integrated urban water management strategy are critical to achieving equitable access. The findings provide evidence-based insights for policymakers and utility providers to enhance water service delivery in rapidly urbanizing contexts while aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals and WHO standards.

Abstract

The material estimation process in construction projects is a crucial step in planning and cost control. However, conventional methods such as manual calculations often take a long time and have a high potential for error. With the development of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology, software such as Autodesk Revit offers a more efficient solution in performing Material Take-Off (MTO). This research aims to analyze the comparison of the results of the MTO calculation of the North Building structure (B.Ut.2) UT.75 in the LMS-02 Range Irrigation Project using Autodesk Revit and manual calculation methods, to find out the extent of the difference between the two methods in terms of accuracy, time efficiency, and effectiveness of their application in construction projects. The research method used is a quantitative study with a comparative approach to analyze that MTO calculations using Autodesk Revit are faster than manual methods, with a high level of accuracy in material quantification. In addition, the application of BIM in the MTO process can minimize the potential for human error and improve efficiency in project management.
