Abstract

The entertainment and leisure sector business is currently experiencing rapid growth, including billiards venues that have evolved from mere gaming facilities to social spaces for customers to gather, relax, and build relationships. In this competitive landscape, business owners must not only provide quality gaming facilities but also create a comfortable, attractive, safe, and customer-oriented environment that matches the preferences of local customers. Namrole's New Spirit Billiards operates with a distinctive open ventilation concept that allows natural air flow into the business premises, creating a cool environment without relying on air conditioning or fans, equipped with a strategic location in front of the district/city road, the availability of snacks, coffee, noodles, and bread, as well as a free game bonus 15 minutes after booking one hour. This study aims to analyze the influence of store atmosphere on customer satisfaction in Namrole's New Spirit Billiards business. This research used a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to customers. The independent variable is store atmosphere, while the dependent variable is customer satisfaction. Data analysis techniques include validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, simple linear regression analysis, t-test, and coefficient of determination. The results are expected to show that store atmosphere has a positive effect on customer satisfaction. This study provides practical implications for the management of Billiard Semangat Baru Namrole to maintain a natural, simple, strategic, and customer-friendly atmosphere as a strategy to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

Cinnamon is among the world’s most economically significant spices, yet the genus Cinnamomum is one of the most frequently adulterated food commodity groups due to price differentials between premium Ceylon cinnamon and Cassia varieties, compounded by the visual indistinguishability of powdered products. This review—Cinnamomum Adulteration: Scope, Detection Methodologies, Health Implications, and Regulatory Challenges A Global Review—provides a comprehensive analysis of Cinnamomum adulteration encompassing botanical differentiation, adulteration typology, detection methodologies, health implications, and global regulatory architecture, with special attention to C. burmannii’s ambiguous regulatory status. It synthesizes peer-reviewed literature, regulatory documents, and international standards from 2004 to 2025, systematically analyzing detection platforms spanning classical, spectroscopic, chromatographic, and molecular DNA-based methods. The 2025 EU JRC study analyzing 104 commercial samples found that over 66% failed quality standards or exceeded coumarin limits, with species substitution confirmed in 9% of Ceylon-labeled products. Advanced detection methods include Bar-HRM, qPCR, NIR, EDXRF, and HPLC-DAD, enabling comprehensive authentication across multiple adulteration types. Health risks center on coumarin hepatotoxicity (Cassia: up to 12.18 mg/g; C. verum: 0.005–0.090 mg/g), heavy metal toxicity, and allergen mislabeling. Cinnamomum adulteration requires a species-specific, risk-based authentication framework supported by regulatory harmonization among ISO, Codex Alimentarius, and national agencies. The Codex Alimentarius Commission’s 2024 decision to initiate cinnamon standard development creates a policy window for action. Future priorities include harmonized coumarin limits, mandatory species labeling, heavy metal surveillance, and capacity building for molecular authentication in producing countries.

Abstract

The rapid development of ICT has elevated digital literacy as a critical competency in education. SMP Widuri Jaya, an A-accredited private junior high school in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, faces challenges in digital literacy among its educators. The objective aims to examine the role of situational leadership and organizational culture in enhancing digital literacy among educators at SMP Widuri Jaya. A qualitative case study design was employed. Five informants were selected purposively: the principal, vice-principal for student affairs, head of laboratory and library, ICT teacher, and homeroom teacher. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation, then analyzed using open, axial, and selective coding. Validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results situational leadership is at a moderate level, characterized by adaptive but informal leadership styles with task delegation primarily directed toward full-time and homeroom teachers. Organizational culture also operates at a moderate level, marked by limited formal digital policies and mild innovation. Five integrated dimensions emerged: human resource competency, organizational communication and collaboration, member empowerment, organizational culture and work values, and organizational stability and conflict management. Supporting factors include Wi-Fi infrastructure, personal devices, training, leadership support, and reward systems. Inhibiting factors encompass unequal digital competencies, dependence on specific individuals, absent formal policies, incomplete library digitalization, and low educator motivation. Both situational leadership and organizational culture significantly contribute to digital literacy enhancement; systematic formal policy development and competency-based empowerment strategies are urgently needed.

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) remains a global metabolic disorder characterized by progressive insulin resistance, impaired pancreatic beta-cell function, chronic inflammation, and increased risk of systemic complications. Current therapeutic approaches primarily focus on glycemic control; however, they do not fully address the underlying regenerative and inflammatory aspects of the disease. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility, preliminary clinical outcomes, and safety of a combination intervention consisting of intravenous umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cell (UC-MSC) therapy and pulmonary-targeted inhalation of an insulin-stem cell mixture under the Vinski Protocol. A retrospective pilot clinical study was conducted using medical record data from 10 patients with T2DM treated at Celltech Stem Cell Centre, Jakarta, Indonesia. Clinical evaluations included changes in HbA1c, fasting blood glucose, fasting C-peptide, medication or insulin requirements, pulmonary observations, and safety outcomes. The findings indicated that the combination approach was clinically feasible and generally well tolerated, with preliminary observations suggesting potential improvements in metabolic parameters and patient clinical status. However, interpretation of outcomes remains limited due to the small sample size, retrospective design, absence of a control group, and potential influence of concurrent diabetes management. The integration of systemic UC-MSC therapy with pulmonary-targeted adjunctive treatment represents an innovative precision regenerative strategy for T2DM management. Further prospective controlled clinical trials with larger populations are required to validate efficacy, determine optimal protocols, and establish long-term safety.

Abstract

Regenerative tourism has emerged as a transformative paradigm capable of addressing the structural limitations of sustainable tourism by repositioning destinations as living social–ecological systems. Consequently, regeneration is often framed as an aspirational outcome rather than as a governed systemic condition. This article argues that the transformative potential of regenerative tourism cannot be realized without addressing the issue of structural regulation. Drawing on living systems thinking and political economy perspectives, this paper introduces community sovereignty as a regulatory membrane that governs selective permeability within a destination’s metabolic system. Employing a conceptual theory-building approach, this study develops an integrative analytical framework that reconceptualizes destination governance as an active process of metabolic regulation rather than merely a coordinative arrangement. The framework identifies four key regulatory dimensions—collective decision-making authority, institutional coherence, normative orientation, and adaptive enforcement capacity—which collectively determine the quality and intensity of tourism flows. These theoretical propositions are empirically illustrated through analytical vignettes that contrast the extractive tendencies of highly permeable systems with the sovereign regulatory architecture of the Binyan Customary Forest (Hutan Adat Binyan) (Wanaprastha) in Bali. This article contributes to regenerative tourism scholarship by shifting the analytical focus from participation toward regulatory capacity and by reframing governance as an active practice of boundary-setting. Ultimately, this framework provides a robust foundation for analyzing systemic vitality as a governable condition amid intensifying global tourism pressures.

Abstract

This research analyzes two issues: first, the harmonization of norms between the provisions of unlawful acts (PMH) Article 1365 of the Civil Code and the instrument for the protection of the right to information in determining the limits of legitimate educational expression; second, the qualification of a lawsuit based on Article 1365 of the Civil Code against financial educators on social media as onrechtmatige procesvoering/misbruik van recht. The research uses normative-empirical juridical methods with legislative, conceptual, case, and comparative approaches, focusing on Case Number 1206/Pdt.G/2025/PN Jkt.Brt, PT. Tunas Tangkas Primaraga Sakti against financial educator Apriliana. The results of the study show that Article 1365 of the Civil Code does not provide an operational definition of the element of "unlawful", thus opening up space for expansive interpretation that has the potential to override the constitutional right to information according to Article 28F of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in conjunction with Article 19 of the ICCPR. The a quo lawsuit meets three indicators of legal bullying: formal defects (ultra vires mandati and error in persona), disproportionate claim value (Rp3,654,182,500 without an accountable methodology), and indications of intimidation through a request for security confiscation of the defendant's private house. The mention of a trademark in educational content is qualified as a valid nominative fair use because it does not meet the elements of trademark use in trade according to Law Number 20 of 2016.

Abstract

The reliability of the electricity distribution system is a key factor determining the quality of service provided to customers. In medium-voltage networks, disturbances caused by external factors, particularly animal-related interference, remain a significant challenge that contributes to increased System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI) and System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) values. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of protective sleeve installation as a preventive measure for reducing feeder disturbances and improving distribution system reliability at PT PLN (Persero) ULP Woha. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed by analyzing and comparing disturbance data before and after protective sleeve installation during the 2024–2025 period. The findings revealed a significant reduction in the frequency and duration of disturbances following the installation of protective sleeves. Correspondingly, the improved SAIFI and SAIDI values indicated enhanced operational reliability of the distribution system. The results demonstrated that protective sleeves provided a practical and cost-effective solution for mitigating animal-related disturbances in medium-voltage distribution networks. The implications of this study include recommendations for PT PLN to adopt protective sleeves as a standard mitigation measure for animal-related disturbances across various customer service units and to support the development of more effective distribution network maintenance strategies.

Abstract

Hands are the body part most frequently exposed to environmental bacteria and play an important role in disease transmission. Handwashing with antiseptic soap is an effective method for reducing bacterial contamination on the skin. Antiseptic soaps containing chloroxylenol, povidone-iodine, and chlorhexidine gluconate are widely used due to their broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity. However, the comparative effectiveness of these three antiseptic agents remains unclear. This experimental study employed a group pre-test and post-test design involving 27 students from the Faculty of Dentistry, Trisakti University. The respondents were divided into three groups based on the type of antiseptic soap used: 0.5% chloroxylenol, 7.5% povidone-iodine, and 0.5% chlorhexidine gluconate, with nine respondents in each group. The number of bacterial colonies on the hands was assessed before and after handwashing using the swab method. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and the Kruskal–Wallis test. All three antiseptic soaps demonstrated a significant reduction in bacterial colony counts. In the chloroxylenol group, the median colony count decreased from 100 CFU to 22 CFU (p = 0.018); in the povidone-iodine group, from 11 CFU to 0 CFU (p = 0.008); and in the chlorhexidine gluconate group, from 200 CFU to 61 CFU (p = 0.008). Based on the percentage reduction, povidone-iodine showed the greatest decrease (99.74%), followed by chloroxylenol (79.30%) and chlorhexidine gluconate (51.97%). However, comparisons of bacterial colony reduction among the three groups showed no statistically significant difference in effectiveness (p = 0.481).

Abstract

Based on customer complaints in the Pilang–Sertayasa area, several issues related to suboptimal water pressure were identified. These issues were attributed to high levels of water loss. This study aimed to determine the level of water loss through the establishment of District Metered Areas (DMA). A descriptive-quantitative research design was employed to evaluate the level of Non-Revenue Water (NRW) through the implementation of a District Metered Area (DMA) in Pilang–Sertayasa, involving a study population of 217 active customers. The instrument used to assess water loss was the DMA method. Water loss analysis was conducted using data loggers, with the collected data analyzed through step-test calculations. The findings revealed that the water loss level, or Non-Revenue Water (NRW), within the Pilang–Sertayasa DMA reached 48.43%. The step-test analysis indicated that Step 1 (0.0125 dQ/Dsr), Step 6 (0.0206 dQ/Dsr), and Step 7 (0.0437 dQ/Dsr) were categorized as high-loss areas. Therefore, immediate interventions, such as leak detection and further evaluation, were required for these steps to reduce water losses and improve distribution system efficiency.

Abstract

Irrigation network maintenance plays a strategic role in ensuring efficient and sustainable water distribution to support agricultural productivity. This study aims to evaluate the condition of the irrigation network and calculate the Actual Operation and Maintenance Needs Index (AKNOP) for the Paniis Lebak Main Canal in Kuningan Regency, West Java, Indonesia. A mixed quantitative and qualitative approach was employed through field observations, water discharge measurements, assessments of irrigation canals and hydraulic structures, and maintenance cost calculations based on the technical guidelines of the Indonesian Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR). The results indicate that the irrigation canal remains generally functional; however, minor to moderate damage was identified, reducing the efficiency of water distribution. Irrigation infrastructure plays a strategic role in sustaining agricultural productivity by ensuring a reliable and well-regulated water supply to paddy fields. Optimizing the performance of the irrigation network depends largely on the effective implementation of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) activities, which must be carried out systematically and accurately. From a financial planning perspective, the Actual Operation and Maintenance Needs Index (AKNOP) serves as a critical instrument for estimating maintenance requirements. Accurate AKNOP estimation requires a comprehensive network walkthrough to identify and inventory the actual physical condition and damage of irrigation infrastructure, thereby providing a reliable basis for maintenance planning and budget allocation.
