Abstract

This research investigates the role of strategic marketing innovation in helping startups navigate uncertainty by leveraging agility and creativity. Amid the dynamic shifts brought about by globalization, technological advancement, and events such as the COVID-19 pandemic, startups are required to develop unique and adaptive marketing approaches to remain competitive and sustainable. The purpose of this study is to explore how agility the ability to respond rapidly to change and creativity the capacity to generate novel and valuable marketing solutions jointly influence strategic marketing innovation in startups. A descriptive quantitative method was applied to analyze patterns, effectiveness, and interrelations among agility, creativity, and marketing innovation in startups operating within dynamic sectors. Data were collected through structured surveys administered to startup founders and marketing professionals, and analyzed using correlation and regression techniques. The findings reveal that marketing agility significantly enhances startups’ ability to adapt marketing strategies in real time, while creativity contributes to differentiation, brand resonance, and consumer engagement. Moreover, the interaction between agility and creativity produces synergistic outcomes in terms of marketing innovation effectiveness. Digital capability and market sensing were found to moderate these relationships, further strengthening their influence on startup performance. The study concludes that strategic marketing innovation, supported by agile and creative capabilities, plays a critical mediating role in translating internal competencies into performance outcomes such as customer acquisition, brand positioning, and market responsiveness. This research provides theoretical and practical insights for startup founders, investors, and policymakers aiming to foster innovation and resilience in early-stage ventures.

Abstract

This study discusses the maqāṣid al-syarī'ah approach in interpreting the verses of the Qur'an with a focus on two monumental tafsir books, namely Tafsir al-Qurṭubī and Tafsir al-Miṣbāḥ by M. Quraish Shihab. The background of this study is based on the need to understand how the exegetes apply the principles of maqāṣid al-syarī'ah in contextualizing legal verses. With a content analysis approach, the qualitative research method uses a comparative study of the two tafsirs. The results show that Tafsir al-Qurṭubī tends to emphasize the normative-classical approach with a focus on legal derivation (istinbāṭ al-aḥkām) according to the fiqh tradition. At the same time, Tafsir al-Miṣbāḥ prioritizes a contextual approach and benefit value. This methodological difference indicates a dialectic between the classical exegetical heritage and the needs of contemporary society. This research contributes to developing maqāṣid-based exegesis that integrates tradition and contemporary reality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the verses of the Qur'an related to the environment through the perspective of contemporary interpretation. The study focuses on how the ecological messages in the Qur'an provide an ethical-theological foundation for humans as khalīfah to maintain the balance of nature. The research method used is qualitative-descriptive with a library research approach, reviewing classical and contemporary interpretation literature, and the latest scientific articles. The results of the study show that verses such as QS. Al-A'raf (7): 56–57, QS. Ar-Rum (30): 41, and QS. Al-Baqarah (2): 164 provides a comprehensive picture of the importance of maintaining ecosystem sustainability and the impact of environmental damage caused by human actions. The analysis of ecological interpretation confirms that rain, plants, and the balance of nature are manifestations of God's grace and human ethical-spiritual responsibilities. Thus, ecological interpretation can be used as a new paradigm in environmentally aware Islamic education and an Islamic contribution to solving the global ecological crisis.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of women's access to Islamic financing products on family welfare. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method conducted on female customers of Islamic financial institutions in Ternate City. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The results show that access to Islamic financing has a positive impact on five main dimensions of family welfare: improving household finances, continuing children's education, improving health quality, household harmony, and women's empowerment. Islamic financing schemes such as murābaḥah, qardhul ḥasan, and microfinance help women increase business capacity, allocate funds for education and health, and create family stability. This study confirms that Islamic financing is not only an economic instrument, but also a social and spiritual instrument that supports the achievement of maqāṣid al-syarī'ah and holistic family welfare.

Abstract

This study examines how Indonesia and Japan, as influential middle powers, contribute to stability in the Indo-Pacific through complementary strategic frameworks. It asks: How can Indonesia's ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP) and Japan's Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP) be coordinated to strengthen regional security and peacebuilding? Using qualitative secondary data analysis, including policy documents, case studies, and media, the research applies Middle Power Theory and Strategic Narrative Theory to evaluate their diplomatic behavior and public messaging. The findings show that Indonesia's inclusive, consensus-based diplomacy aligns with Japan's economic and technological statecraft. Their partnership is most effective when policy coordination is reinforced by harmonized public diplomacy. Key areas for deeper collaboration include maritime security, sustainable development, and non-traditional security threats such as climate change and disaster response. By formalizing AOIP–FOIP coordination and expanding non-traditional security cooperation, Indonesia and Japan can enhance collective security and promote a rules-based regional order.
