Abstract

The study investigated lecturers’ perception and adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in tertiary institutions in Ondo State. The study employed a descriptive survey research design. 150 participants were randomly selected from each of the schools sampled, resulting in a total of 450 participants across the three senatorial districts. A university was randomly selected in each of the three senatorial districts (Ondo South, Central, and North) in Ondo State. A self-developed questionnaire titled Lecturers’ Perception and Adoption of Artificial Intelligence Tools Questionnaire (LPAAITQ) was used to collect data for the study. Data collected were analyzed with the use of both descriptive and inferential statistical tools (Pearson Product Moment Correlation). The study revealed that lecturers’ perception of AI was positive. The study also revealed a very low level of AI adoption among lecturers. The study further revealed some of the challenges confronting lecturers in the effective adoption of AI tools in tertiary institutions in Ondo State. Such challenges include poor internet connectivity, poor funding, and lack of infrastructure to support AI usage in most of the tertiary institutions. The finding also revealed a significant relationship between the lecturer’s perception and adoption of AI. Abstract

This study, an extensive bibliometric analysis, was conducted to detect trends, collaboration patterns, and topic structures in the scientific literature on primary school icebreaking approaches. Scientific publication data was acquired from Google Scholar using relevant keywords. The investigation covered 2021–2025 article documents. This study used VOSviewer for mapping and visualization. Annual publication patterns, mapping author, institution, and country collaborations, and keyword co-occurrence analysis to identify dominating research subject clusters and emergent issues were examined. The finding indicated that from 2021 to 2025, 83 research articles examined elementary school icebreaking approaches. VOSviewer's visual map also identified three main thematic clusters: Cluster 1 (elementary schools, ice-breaking implementation and benefits, and the effect of ice-breaking implementation, assisted by ice-breaking, on learning interest), Cluster 2 (elementary schools, learning, the role of ice-breaking, and ice-breaking techniques), and Cluster 3 (ice, ice-breaking, and mathematics learning). This cluster discusses public elementary school icebreaking methods, roles, and implementation. The network visualization showed that icebreaking was the most explored topic. The density visualization term with the brightest color and greatest diameter is "ice breaking," indicating that journals commonly study this topic. Overlay visualizations and studies on primary school icebreaking procedures showed changes from 2021 to 2025. This topic saw a rise in research in 2021-2023 but a sharp fall in 2024-2025. Finally, this bibliometric analysis presents a clear and structured summary of elementary school icebreaking research, indicating underexplored subareas and prospective study goals. These findings help academics, practitioners, and policymakers construct evidence-based educational approaches.

Abstract

Educational change requires teachers to be more digitally literate due to rapid technology development. This adjustment is difficult for some teachers, especially elementary school teachers. This research is driven by the principal's transformative leadership and managerial talents in guiding this transition. The purpose of this study is to analyze the principal's managerial strategy, how the principal improves teachers' digital literacy, teachers' perceptions of the principal's transformational leadership style, and the obstacles faced by teachers in improving digital literacy. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects consisted of the principal, teachers at various levels, and administrative staff. Data sources were obtained through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. The research instruments were interview guidelines and observation sheets. The data analysis technique used was the interactive model of Miles, who plays, which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was maintained through triangulation techniques for data sources and methods. The findings of this study demonstrate that the principal has adopted a transformational leadership style by offering motivation, serving as a role model, and fostering collaboration among teachers. However, some teachers have encountered resistance due to age, time constraints, and a lack of confidence in using digital devices. School principals continue to make various efforts to overcome these obstacles so that teachers' digital literacy can improve sustainably.

Abstract

Asynchronous learning is important to worldwide higher education's digital transition. Despite extensive technology usage, issues about asynchronous learning media quality and pedagogy persist. Most studies have used the participants' final exam scores to evaluate the effectiveness of asynchronous learning. Consequently, this study seeks to evaluate the efficacy of e-learning media in facilitating asynchronous learning within the Officer Cadet Advancement Training Program (CATP or PASIS) at the higher education level. The primary focus of the research is to identify the level of participant engagement, their perceptions of the effectiveness of e-learning media, and the challenges faced by both participants and facilitators during the learning process. This research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data collected through questionnaires administered to 47 respondents at Poltekpel Barombong and qualitative data gathered through in-depth interviews with participants, instructors, and e-learning administrators. The findings indicated that most participants regularly access the platform, complete assignments on time, and feel comfortable with self-directed learning. However, forum participation and learning motivation vary, especially among e-learning novices. While most respondents say e-learning media helps them understand the topic, they still need direct instruction, especially for technical content. Internet instability, lack of two-way communication, and participant digital incompetence are the key issues. Improved material quality, facilitator training, and solid support mechanisms improve e-learning deployment.

Abstract

Islamic schools must increase quality and financial independence because traditional finance limits sustainability. Waqf is a clever, sharia-compliant approach to making money. This study evaluates the As'adiyah Sengkang Islamic Boarding School's successful waqf-funded education. No study has evaluated an integrated Educational Resource Management (ERM) model for waqf profits allocation for curriculum development, educator welfare, and facility upkeep, despite As'adiyah Sengkang's success. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to comprehensively analyze and describe the ERM model based on the utilization of productive waqf proceeds, as well as to identify supporting and inhibiting factors for its implementation at As'adiyah Sengkang Islamic Boarding School. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with administrators (nazhir), Islamic boarding school leaders, and financial staff; direct observation of waqf assets and educational activities; and analysis of documents related to financial reports and resource allocation policies. The results of the study indicate that As'adiyah Sengkang applies a cyclical MSDP model, where the results of productive waqf investments are managed through a special business unit and allocated proportionally, with the main priority being improving teacher welfare (remuneration) and financing flagship programs. The contributions of this study are (1) Theoretical Contribution: Providing a theoretical model of sustainable Islamic MSDP based on endowment funds (productive waqf). (2) Practical Contribution: Providing best practices and applicable guidelines for other Islamic boarding schools in achieving financial independence and optimizing educational resources.

Abstract

Social media platforms like Instagram encourage word shortening and other non-standard vocabulary developments. This phenomenon is typically overlooked in Indonesian language morphology instructional materials, which emphasize normative principles. Therefore, an in-depth morphological analysis of these shortening forms and an exploration of their potential as authentic learning resources are needed. Therefore, this study aims to (1) identify and classify the dominant types of word shortening on Instagram, (2) analyze the morphological process of forming these shortening forms, and (3) formulate didactic implications for utilizing these findings as a source for learning Indonesian language morphology. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a content analysis method. Data in the form of text (captions, comments, and stories) containing shortened forms were collected from Indonesian-language Instagram accounts and analyzed based on morphological rules. The results show that abbreviations and contractions are the most dominant types of shortening on Instagram. The most active morphological processes are syllable fragmentation (apocope) and vowel deletion (syncope). The analysis shows that although many shortened forms are nonstandard, their formation patterns still follow principles of lexical efficiency that can be explained morphologically. This study makes a significant contribution by offering a contextualized morphology teaching model based on contemporary language practices. Utilizing Instagram data can increase student learning interest and bridge the gap between language theory in the classroom and the reality of everyday digital communication.

Abstract

Blind children in special needs schools struggle to learn the Arabic language without visual aid. Educational psychology must study how to maximize the learning medium for blind students' psychological and tactile demands. This study aims to explore and describe the effectiveness of using Braille media in teaching Arabic vocabulary to blind students, especially from an educational psychology perspective that includes cognitive aspects, motivation, and the language acquisition process. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were blind students at SLB-A YAPTI Makassar. Data collection was carried out through participant observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of learning documents to gain a comprehensive understanding of the implementation and impact of Braille in the vocabulary learning process. The results of the study indicate that Braille media has high effectiveness as the main tool in learning Arabic vocabulary for blind students. From an educational psychology perspective, Braille functions as a cognitive facilitator that allows students to activate tactile-kinesthetic memory, improve concentration, and build linguistic schemes in a structured manner. The use of Braille, integrated with appropriate teaching methods, has also been shown to increase students' intrinsic motivation due to their independence in accessing and processing vocabulary materials. Vocabulary retention is also more optimal due to multi-sensory engagement. This study adds to educational psychology and special education literature by examining how Braille media helps visually impaired students learn foreign languages. It helps teachers and curriculum developers create successful and inclusive language teaching tools that accommodate visually impaired kids' specific psychological mechanisms.

Abstract

Islamic intellectual literature is used to teach fiqh munakahat at As'adiyah Sengkang Islamic Boarding School. This program finds it difficult to prepare students for the challenges posed by millennial families, changing gender roles, marriage, and technology. This article analyzes how As'adiyah Sengkang Islamic Boarding School meets students' practical requirements through dogmatic textual understanding and mature (affective) attitudes. This study evaluates the As'adiyah Sengkang Islamic Boarding School's Fiqh Munakahat curriculum and ancient literature instruction. This qualitative study employs one case study (As'adiyah Sengkang Islamic Boarding School). Data was collected through classroom observations (deliberation and discussion), in-depth interviews with pesantren leaders (kyai), Fiqh teachers (ustaz/ustazah), and final-year students (santri), and curriculum document analysis. The study found that As'adiyah Sengkang Islamic Boarding School mediates. The pesantren successfully maintains traditional texts as the basis of law, including the Fathul Qarib and Taqrib volumes. Non-curricular initiatives, including premarital seminars, family psychology topic discussions, and home digital literacy halaqah (religious gatherings), include modern elements. This instructional change emphasizes legal validity and nullity as well as effective and practical capacity building (sustainability and harmony). This article improves Islamic boarding school curriculum and education research. These findings can help other Islamic boarding schools develop a holistic, relevant, and current Munakahat Fiqh curriculum that upholds Islamic science.

Abstract

The worldwide halal business is growing exponentially, yet Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTI) graduates lack the skills needed to handle sharia, science, and halal. Current courses typically overemphasize normative knowledge without appropriately integrating global industrial standards, accreditation, and technology. This study examines PTI's strategic role in growing global halal sector human resources and develops a curriculum synchronization model to meet market expectations in halal assurance systems, Islamic finance, and halal tourism. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach at several leading PTI with halal-related study programs. Data were collected through analysis of curriculum documents (syllabus, RPS), in-depth interviews with stakeholders (academics, halal industry practitioners, and the Halal Product Assurance Agency/BPJPH), and FGDs (focus group discussions) for data triangulation. The results of the study indicate that effective curriculum synchronization requires modification of three main pillars: (1) integration of professional certification courses (such as Halal Slaughterer and Halal Auditor) into the compulsory curriculum, (2) increasing the portion of internships and project-based Field Work Practices (PKL) in global halal-certified companies, and (3) implementation of the "Triple Helix Model" (Campus-Industry-Halal Institution) in learning design. It was found that PTI, that implemented this model, produced graduates with a much higher employment rate in the halal sector. This article enhances the literature on higher education and Islamic economics and proposes an integrated curriculum model for Islamic universities in Indonesia and worldwide to produce competitive halal industry human resources.
