Abstract

The Wali mujbīr is a guardian who has the right to marry off his daughters without their prior consent. Although Imam Al-Syāfi'ī supports this concept, the Marriage Law Number 1 of 1974 and the Compilation of Islamic Law do not explicitly recognize the ijbār right. This article examines the existence and implications of the mujbīr guardian's right in the context of Islamic law in Indonesia, considering the voluntary principle in marriage. This research utilizes a qualitative approach with primary data from the Al Umm book and Indonesia's Compilation of Marriage Laws. The results indicate that the ijbār right is not contradictory to Islamic law in Indonesia and does not violate Human Rights, although the guardian must meet certain conditions before forcing a marriage. This highlights the debate surrounding decisions made on the assumption that daughters are incapable of making their own decisions in marriage.

Abstract

The importance of early childhood multiple intelligences lied in the fact that every child possesses unique talents and potential. Various forms of intelligence, including verbal, mathematical reasoning, visual-spatial, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, kinesthetic, and naturalistic, enable educators to adapt learning approaches to meet the unique needs of each child. This study aims to enhance the numerical aptitude of children between the ages of 4 and 5 by utilizing the Sunda Manda number game at the Dharma Wanita Nadi II Kindergarten, Bulukerto. This study employs descriptive qualitative methodologies. The data collection process involved triangulation, including interviews with teachers from class A to gather information. Additionally, observations were made while the children were playing Sunda Manda numbers. Documentation was also done while playing Sunda Manda numbers to record relevant information about the children. The participants in the study consisted of teachers and pupils classified as class A, with an age range of 4-5 years. The research findings indicate that the Sunda Manda game numbers can enhance numeracy intelligence in children with auditory processing disorders associated with symbolic thinking, logical thinking, and learning and problem-solving abilities. Then, the game also promotes children's physical development through three stages: education, expansion, and development.

Abstract

The ability of young children to interact with others, control their own emotions, and recognize and react to the feelings of others are all considered social-emotional abilities in early life. Special needs children do not have the opportunity to play with appropriate play materials. Consequently, children with special needs frequently must fully explore their social-emotional development. Since play is a crucial component of children's growth and development, it is anticipated that using block play methods will enhance students' social-emotional skills and prevent boredom in the classroom. Children's social-emotional abilities, like focus and concentration, self-assurance, and cooperation, can be improved through block games. This study aims to describe how learning through block media is implemented, how difficulties arise, and how learning through block media is implemented to enhance children's social-emotional capacities. The classroom action research design was applied in this study. Data was gathered at TKIT A'amillah through interviews, paperwork, and filed notes from five kids. The study's findings indicate that one of the best approaches for enhancing the knowledge and abilities of kids with special needs is through the block technique; the usage of blocks supports the proper development of children's social-emotional skills.

Abstract

The introduction of English to young learners at an earlier age in foreign language settings has led to recognition of the importance of actively involving pupils in learning the target language. This study aimed to describe the utilization of poetry as an instructional tool to expose English as a foreign language to young learners. It further elaborates how its use could enhance and encourage active participation of the learners during the learning. This qualitative study was conducted at an elementary school in Langsa, a region in Aceh. A total of 25 pupils were purposefully selected as participants in this research. The data were collected through observation and interviews. The findings showed that incorporating poetry effectively stimulates learners’ engagement during the learning process. Students demonstrate enthusiasm and active participation in the classroom activity, as poetry's rhythmic, expressive, and musical elements prevent monotony in their learning experience. Learners demonstrate a favorable disposition towards acquiring English language skills through poetry, as seen by their active engagement in various classroom activities, including generating poetic content, vocalizing poems enthusiastically, and employing non-verbal communication to convey the intended meaning during recitation effectively. They were also exposed to the learning of vocabulary and pronunciation in an engaging way through the poem.

Abstract

The way parents raise their children will have a significant impact on how they develop. Caregiving errors will result in toxic parenting, which will hinder the emotional growth of the child. Parents who have toxic parents are accustomed to speaking harshly, making fun of, demeaning, and even imposing their wishes on their kids. Many factors contribute to toxic parenting, such as past trauma experienced by the parents, personal issues they are facing, an inability to regulate their emotions, and excessive expectations placed on the parents for their children. There are various forms of toxic parenting, such as parents who make much effort to mold their kids into what they want them to be, parents who are dismissive of their kids and frequently make fun of them, and parents who are disdainful of their kids and frequently make fun of them. There are many impacts resulting from toxic parent behavior. Children who experience poisonous parents will have a low self-image, get stressed easily, be pessimistic, have difficulty controlling their emotions, worry, lack self-confidence, depression, and other emotional disorders, which will have an impact until the child is an adult. Thus, parents are responsible for protecting their children from negative parenting styles. Positive parenting can be used by parents who observe their children's behavior, provide opportunity and trust, manage their emotions, and maintain open lines of communication with their kids. All of this can improve children's development, especially their emotional development. Parents can reduce or even stop toxic parenting, among other things, by making peace with themselves, being grateful for all the little things they have, being willing to learn about correct parenting patterns, and, most importantly, realizing that children are a trust from the creator who will be held accountable.

Abstract

This research discusses the pattern of exploitation of women by their partners as drug couriers. This research uses the study of participating victims, namely someone who unconsciously becomes a victim because of his attitude that encourages him to become a victim. The purpose of this study is to analyze the recruitment patterns used by men as crime planners involving women as drug couriers. Thus, the pattern of exploitation that has occurred is expected to be the primary step in limiting drug couriers who use women as intermediaries in their crimes. Over five months, this study was carried out at the Pondok Bambu, Jakarta, and Tangerang Class II A Women's Correctional Institution. The subjects of this research were four informants involved in the crime and one informant from the Community Legal Aid Institute in Jakarta, who handled the case. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative approach with primary data sources and secondary data, namely, the results of interviews with research subjects and informants related to this crime, then examined in the form of narrative descriptions and using secondary data such as news, books, and data related to the research. The study's findings indicate that women become involved in drug-related crimes when they meet their partners, and then the partners use these women's emotions as leverage to conduct the crimes. In addition, the factor of being a victim of violence is also very influential on the existence of women involved in drug crime cases. Women's involvement in this case shields the male spouse from legal obligations and is not defended based on the pattern of exploitation they get, but women are convicted based on the evidence found against them.

Abstract

Gender exists as a social construction that often positions women as secondary and has become an issue that has attracted quite a lot of public attention. Gender equity and equality must be pursued in social development, especially tourism management and development. This effort is to develop and strengthen the nation's progress in supporting gender equality in every line of life. This study aims to describe and analyze women's participation in the management of the Tukad Bindu tourist attraction and explore the equity and equality obtained by women in tourism development. The methodology used in this research is a qualitative-descriptive approach. The data collection techniques were non-participatory observation, in-depth interviews with key informants, documentation, and a literature study. Informants were determined using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative data analysis techniques. This research also uses data triangulation techniques to test the validity of the data. The research results show that women have a role and contribution to the management and development of the Tukad Bindu tourist attraction. Women have been given access to participate in public spaces, especially tourism management. However, the access that women have is quite limited, so women's participation and control roles are limited. This reality shows that gender equity and equality are not optimal in community-based tourism due to hegemony, which causes gender bias in tourism development.
