Journal Competency of Business is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year (July and December) by the Management Study Program at Universitas Cokroaminoto Yogyakarta. Abstract

The cosmetics and household goods sub-sector are industries that are fast and full of changes. These changes can be in the form of trends, types of products and also consumer profiles. The increase in the growth of the cosmetics industry by 20% in 2017 has an impact on increasing sales. Thus, production costs reduction needs to be done, so that it has a good impact on net income. Promotion is also needed so that the product is known by the wider community. Promotional costs used are also important to increase company profits. This study employed a quantitative approach using secondary data. The sample used was 6 companies in the cosmetics and household goods sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2019 period. The research instrument used was documentation. The results obtained are (1) production costs have a significant effect on net income with a significance result of 0.000 < 0.05; (2) promotion costs have no significant effect on net income with a significance result of 0.498 > 0.05; and (3) simultaneously production costs and promotion costs have an effect on net income with a significance result of 0.000 <0.05.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest CPO (Crude Palm Oil) producing countries in the world. In addition to producing CPO, oil palm fruit is also used as raw material for food and non-food production, alternative fuels, biodiesel development, and many others. SG's oil palm plantation, which is located in West Kalimantan, Sintang Regency, Kelam Permai District, is a company engaged in palm oil processing that was founded in 2008. In order to improve the quality of production, it is necessary to evaluate and analyze its business. So, the purpose of this study is to analyze the business model canvas using the SWOT method on the SG oil palm plantation company. The research method uses descriptive quantitative methods. The results showed that with a SWOT analysis approach, the SG oil palm company took advantage of the existing opportunities, namely the demand for fresh fruit bunches continued to increase in the market and government policies that supported the oil palm plantation business. SG's oil palm plantations must maintain the quality of fresh fruit bunches that will be sold to palm oil mills and increase the number of fresh fruit bunches harvested in order to remain competitive in the market. While the strategy for minimizing weaknesses is to improve good plantation maintenance techniques. As for the strategy, while maintaining good relations with partners, namely SG's oil palm plantations, the strategy for minimizing weaknesses and avoiding threats is to always cooperate with the Sintang Regency Government, West Kalimantan Province.

Abstract

Currently, the development of the Indonesian fashion world, especially in Yogyakarta, is growing rapidly, even though during the Covid-19 pandemic, online-based businesses actually grew rapidly. One of the e-commerce businesses involved is Bougainvilea. With an online sales concept, Bougainvilea provides a wide variety of the best products for the latest Muslim fashion. With the strength of its customers, this study aims to highlight the problem of how customer satisfaction and trust affect customer loyalty in e-commerce in Bougainvilea companies. Data was collected by means of a questionnaire to 195 respondents with a simple random sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using a quantitative method using SmartPLS software. The results of the study identified that customer satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, customer trust has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty and customer satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on customer trust

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengacu pada penelitian terdahulu Zarjani M. Banta dengan penelitian menggunakan analisis trend pada perusahaan Jasa PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia dan penelitian sekarang menggunakan analisis trend pada Perusahaan Kesehatan PT. Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk.Dari penelitian ini mempunyai rumusan masalah analisis trend dengan periode dasar 2018 dan periode pembanding 2019, 2020 dan 2021 dan Perkembangan Kinerja keuangan perusahaan dilihat dari segi Current Ratio, Debt to Asset Ratio, Return On Investment dan Total Assets Turnover periode 2018-2021.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai kinerja keuangan perusahaan PT. Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk periode 2018-2021, dengan menganalisi laporan keuangannya dengan menggunakan analisis trend. Penelitian ini menggunakan data dari perusahaan yang terdaftar di BEI dari periode dasar 2018 dan periode pembanding 2019-2021 dan kinerja perusahaan berdasarkan CR, DAR, ROI dan TATO. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan laporan keuangan pada PT. Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk yang telah diaudit oleh auditor dan komponen laporan keuangan yang diteliliti adalah neraca dan laporan laba rugi periode 2018, 2019, 2020 dan 2021 dan analisis rasio keuangan. Hal ini menandakan bahwa kinerja PT. Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk,dengan periode dasar 2018 dimana periode 2019 jumlah aset meningkat 105,97%, pada periode 2020 meningkat sebesar 114,13%, dan pada periode 2021 meningkat sebesar 120,80%. Jika ditinjau dari jumlah utang perusahaan ini pada periode 2019 sebesar 108,55% atau sebesar Rp. 472.191 (juta), pada periode 2020 meningkat sebesar 142,66%, sedangkan periode 2021 mengalami penurunan sebesar 135,42%. Pada periode 2019 kinerja PT. Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk mampu menghasilkan penjualan bersih sebesar 111,01%, sebesar 120,70% pada periode 2020 dan pada periode 2021 meningkat sebesar 145,51%. Jumlah laba bersih yang berhasil diperoleh perusahaan ini meningkat sebesar 140,70% di periode 2020 dan 189,94% di periode 2021. Analisis trend pada Current Ratio mengalami penurunan, Debt to Asset Ratio mengalami kenaikan, Return On Investment mengalami kenaikan dan Total Assets Turnover mengalami kenaikan.

Abstract

This study examines and compares the effect of using an endorser on purchasing decisions mediated by brand awareness. The endorsers used consisted of celebrity endorsers and expert endorsers. The purpose of this study was to examine 1) the effect of using celebrity endorsers and expert endorsers on purchasing decisions, 2) the effects of using celebrity endorsers and expert endorsers on brand awareness, 3) the effect of brand awareness on purchasing decisions and 4) brand awareness mediates the influence of celebrity endorsers and expert endorser on purchasing decisions. Research on the use of endorsers is important to do to assist companies in making effective strategic policies related to advertising. The respondents selected and used in this study were women in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The number of questionnaires used was 150 questionnaires, while data analysis was used to test the mediating variable using the path analysis method

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the marketing strategy is applied by Dm Coffea Nusantara in increasing consumer purchasing decisions. The population is a generalization area consisting of objects or subjects that have certain qualities and characteristics that are determined by researchers to be studied and then conclusions drawn. Meanwhile, this study examines marketing strategies in increasing purchasing decisions at Pamella One supermarkets. So that the object of this research is the person responsible for Dm Coffea Nusantara which consists of management. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers, it can be concluded that the success of the marketing mix of Dm Coffea Nusantara, namely the efforts made by Dm Coffea Nusantara in terms of providing the products provided, namely by maintaining product quality, from ingredients to the production process. With targets for all groups, Dm Coffea Nusantara must maintain the quality of its products so that consumers are not tempted by other batik products. DM Coffea Nusantara's efforts to set prices are according to the target market. Because this target applies to all people, so provide affordable prices with estimated expenses but by emphasizing costs on the products offered so that the prices that have been set even though they are cheap but still make a profit and can be used for business playback Dm Coffea Nusantara.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of Etawa Goat farming techniques in the research area, as well as to analyze the Etawa Goat livestock business feasible to be cultivated in the research area, and to find out the obstacles faced by farmers and the efforts made to overcome these obstacles. The results of the study concluded that the implementation of the Etawa Goat cultivation technique at TAMI FARM Ranch was carried out intensively, namely goats were kept in cages continuously, feeding was carried out three times a day with predetermined formulations, the goat mating system was still carried out naturally, and traditional medicine was given so that goats always healthy and free from disease. Some of the obstacles faced by TAMI FARM farms are limited land and supply of feed. As for the efforts made by farmers to face obstacles, namely planting various types of grass for goat feed, as well as renting land for goats or for planting feed for goats.

Abstract

Intrapreneurship is a strategy for fostering innovation through making better use of the employees of a company. When intrapreneurship goes wrong and is abandoned, it won't just spur innovation; it'll also assist those who have good ideas to help their companies raise money to create more innovative products. Pegawai can become an agent for business change by encouraging intrapreneurship within the company. The purpose of the study is to comprehend the role that expertise and work environment play in fostering intrapreneurship. As a result of the survey's use of 25 indicators for each and every variable, more than 150 respondents from the University of Amikom Yogyakarta responded. The research's findings indicate that it is possible to combine and simultaneously improve one's skills and professional network in order to foster intrapreneurship.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the business development of digital marketing services using the Business Model Canvas. The Business Model Canvas provides a comprehensive framework to understand a business, including its Customer Segments, Value Proposition, Channels, Customer Relationships, Revenue Streams, Key Resources, Key Activities, Key Partners, and Cost Structure. The study utilizes the Business Model Canvas as a tool to analyze a case study of a digital marketing services company and identify its strengths and opportunities for growth. The findings suggest that a well-designed business model can lead to successful business development and growth in the digital marketing industry. The research concludes by highlighting the importance of using a systematic approach such as the Business Model Canvas for analyzing business development in digital marketing services. The conclusion is that the development of a digital marketing services business is strongly influenced by internal and external factors of the company. Therefore, companies must continuously monitor and improve these factors to increase business competitiveness
