Ocean literacy is knowledge about the biophysical and ecological aspects of the ocean that have relevance to the topic of biology learning. This study aims to classify the profiles on ecosystem topics of t he ocean literacy of the high school students of SMA 1 Mataram. This study uses an observational approach with a purposive sampling technique, while the data analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis. Furthermore, the samples of this study are 186 of 848 students. The classification of studentsââ¬â¢ literacy on ocean ecological aspects in SMA 1 Mataram are: the percentage of correct answers on indicator 1 is 41.55%, indicator 2 is 68.55%, and indicator 3 is 41.40%. This study concludes that high school students at the study site have not had sufficient knowledge about ocean ecology. However, some materials, such as ocean ecosystems, can be a source of learning to improve students' literacy about ocean ecologies, such as tropical structures in a coral reef, seagrass, and mangrove ecosystems. Therefore, it is necessary to innovate learning resources from ocean environments, especially schools close to the sea, such as a high school in the study site and other high schools in other places

Papaya fruit has many benefits, one of which is papaya seed can be used as antifertility drugs, especially young papaya seeds. Young papaya seeds contain secondary metabolites of alkaloid glycosides and proteolytic enzymes such as papain which can interfere with spermatogenesis. The study aims to determine the effect of young papaya seed extract on the sperm motility and abnormality of male mice (Mus musculus). Mice were randomly selected to represent 4 dose groups: control group (P0), extract 30mg/grBW (PI), extract 60mg/grBW (PII) and extract 90mg/grBW (PIII). Each treatment group was carried out with six repetitions. The treatment was given intravenously by injecting it in the tail of the mice for 15 consecutive days. The observed spermatozoa quality variables included a percentage of motile sperm and abnormal sperm. Data analysis using one-way ANOVA test with a significance level of 5% (0,000) and continued with the LSD (Least Significant Difference) with a 95% confidence level. The study on the Quality of spermatozoic showed a significant effect at the doses of 60mg/grBW (PII) and 90mg/grBW (PIII). The higher dose of young papaya seed extract increasingly affects the Quality of sperm. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of guided inquiry, open inquiry, and tiered inquiry in biochemistry learning. The effectiveness is seen from the product-process perspective, i.e., by looking at critical thinking scores and responses ofÃÂ lecturers' teaching activities. This study involved three groups treated with guided inquiry (level 1), open inquiry (level 2), and tiered inquiry (level 1 to level 2). The number of respondents was 72 students spread over the three groups. Before being given treatment, the three groups were tested for prior knowledge, and it was obtained that the three groups had the same initial ability. The research instrument used was critical thinking questions and a questionnaire of responses to the learning process. The results showed that the group with tiered inquiry treatment had the highest critical thinking score, while open inquiry had the lowest score. It is in line with the respondents' responses related to the learning process. Students feel easier and more comfortable in the tiered inquiry process than the guided and openÃÂ inquiries. The results of the Mann-Whitney U test analysis on the three treatments showed that the three groups had significantly different critical thinking scores. It can be concluded that tiered inquiry is more effective in Biochemistry learning than guided and open inquiries.

The house toad (Duttaphrynus melanostictus) is a highly adaptable amphibian species, and is commonly found in urban areas. On Lombok Island, this species has the highest abundance in non-forest habitat types. In their habit, amphibians function as predators of various types of insects and various types of invertebrates. There are several research reports on prey items from Duttaphrynus melanostictus, but information regarding its role as control of harmful insects is still limited, especially on the island of Lombok. On the other hand, science learning aims to introduce the surrounding environment to students. Therefore, integrating the roles of species commonly found in these settlements is a necessity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the potential of Duttaphrynus melanostictus as a pest control insect, and its urgency in science learning, especially in elementary schools. The study was conducted using gastric surgery analysis method. The frog's stomach was taken continuously until the data was saturated, i.e. the data obtained were the same as the previous surgeries. The results showed that Duttaphrynus melanostictus preyed on 14 types of insects. There are 12 species (85.71%) of which are harmful insects. If classified, 9 species (75%) are insect pests, and 3 species (25%) are disease vectors. Information on the role of this species can be substituted for science lessons in elementary school. The appropriate topics are (1) the importance of balancing and preserving natural resources in the environment, and (2) the relationship between ecosystem components and food webs in the surrounding environment.
