Abstract

The Drug inventory management in hospitals is a crucial aspect of operational efficiency and healthcare service delivery. Ineffective inventory management can lead to waste, stock shortages, and financial losses for hospitals. This study aims to analyze managerial strategies in drug inventory management at Mardi Waluyo Metro Lampung Hospital to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of drug distribution and utilization. The research employs a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques involving the head of the pharmacy installation and pharmaceutical logistics procurement staff. The analysis covers the processes of drug selection, demand planning, procurement, receipt, storage, distribution, disposal, and adjustment. The findings indicate several challenges in drug inventory management, including discrepancies between stock data and physical stock, a high number of expired drugs, and a lack of control systems for drug usage across hospital service units. To address these issues, this study recommends implementing a technology-based management system to improve stock recording accuracy, enforcing strict First In First Out (FIFO) and First Expired First Out (FEFO) methods, and optimizing policies for the disposal of unused drugs. The implementation of these strategies is expected to enhance hospital operational efficiency and reduce potential waste in drug inventory management

Abstract

The monthly Al-Qur’an completion (khataman) activity at SD BUQ Betengan Demak is a routine program that plays a significant role in fostering students’ character and religious values. This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic educational values—including faith (aqidah), worship (ibadah), and morals (akhlaq)—through the monthly khataman Al-Qur’an program at the elementary school. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, the Qiro’ati activity coordinator, and participating students. The findings indicate that the khataman Al-Qur’an is not merely a tradition of collective recitation, but also serves as a means of faith building through understanding the meaning of Qur’anic verses and instilling the pillars of faith by teachers and the activity coordinator. Additionally, the khataman activity effectively increases students’ enthusiasm for worship, both in Qur’an reading and other forms of worship at school and at home. The habituation of proper etiquette during the activity, such as sitting orderly, listening attentively, and showing respect toward teachers and peers, contributes to the development of noble character among students. This activity receives full support from the principal and teachers as an integral part of the school’s vision and mission to produce excellent, accomplished, and Qur’anic-mannered generations. Thus, the implementation of Islamic educational values through khataman Al-Qur’an at SD BUQ Betengan Demak has been proven effective in holistically strengthening the students’ spiritual and character development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare the use of waqf signs in the Indonesian Standard Mushaf and the Medina Mushaf, both in terms of selecting the type of waqf sign and the location of the waqf sign. The aspect of selecting the type of waqf sign has implications for whether or not the recitation of the Qur'an is permissible, while the location of the waqf sign has implications for whether or not the meaning of the Qur'an is intact. This study uses a qualitative descriptive and analytical approach with a library research method to compare the use of waqf signs in the Indonesian Standard Mushaf and the Medina Mushaf in QS. Al-Ahzab. The results of the study indicate thatThe number of waqf signs used in the Indonesian Standard Mushaf and the Medina Mushaf is the same, namely 6 types of waqf signs, the difference is only in the selection of the type of waqf sign and the selection of the location of the waqf sign. In QS. Al-Ahzab, the location of the waqf that is only owned by the Indonesian Standard Mushaf while the Medina Mushaf does not mark it is found in 8 locations, conversely the location of the waqf that is only owned by the Medina Mushaf while the Indonesian Standard Mushaf does not mark it is found in 2 locations. The most basic and real comparison of the two Mushafs is that the Indonesian Standard Mushaf offers more waqf options than the Medina Mushaf, especially in QS. al-Ahzab. This in turn technically makes it easier for readers of the Qur'an in terms of breathing regulation, especially among Indonesians.

Abstract

Educational administration and supervision are two fundamental, interrelated aspects of educational resource development. Administration functions as a manager who plans, organizes, and oversees the efficient use of resources, while supervision plays a role in improving the quality of teaching and teacher performance through constructive guidance and evaluation. This study aims to identify the nature of administration and supervision and their roles in developing the professionalism of educators and improving the quality of education. Through a literature review, it was found that collaboration between effective administration and targeted supervision creates a conducive learning environment, supports the growth of teacher competencies, and contributes to the achievement of the educational vision. The results of the study indicate that administration and supervision are two important elements that serve as the main foundation in educational resource development. Administration provides a structure and governance that regulates resource allocation, planning, and organization that ensures the continuity of the educational process efficiently and in alignment with the school's vision. Supervision, on the other hand, plays a role in providing guidance, evaluation, and motivation for educators to continuously improve their competence and teaching quality. The synergy between administration and supervision not only supports the professional development of teachers and other educational staff but also creates a conducive learning environment and improves the overall quality of educational services. With structured administration and effective supervision, schools are able to achieve higher educational standards, meet community expectations, and contribute to the formation of a more qualified generation

Abstract

Tropical glaciers, such as those in Puncak Jaya, Papua, are among the most climate-sensitive ice masses on Earth, yet their small size, complex topography, and persistent cloud cover hinder accurate monitorin. Conventional threshold-based mapping methods, including the Normalized Difference Snow Index (NDSI), often misclassify debris-covered ice and bright bedrock, limiting their applicability in tropical mountain environments. This study develops and evaluates an integrated Linear Spectral Unmixing Analysis (LSUA)–Geographic Information System (GIS) methodology for high-fidelity mapping of glacier extent and surface composition in Puncak Jaya. Multispectral Landsat 8 OLI imagery was processed using LSUA to generate fractional abundance maps of clean ice, debris-covered ice, supraglacial water, and surrounding terrain. These outputs were integrated with Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) in a GIS framework for glacier area computation, elevation-based change detection, and spatial context analysis. Accuracy assessment using confusion matrices and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) metrics against high-resolution reference imagery demonstrated that the LSUA–GIS workflow outperformed conventional NDSI mapping, particularly in detecting debris-covered ice, with an overall classification accuracy exceeding 90%. Results revealed continued glacier retreat, with the most significant ice loss occurring at elevations 4.884 MASL. The proposed workflow offers a reproducible and scalable approach for mapping small, fragmented tropical glaciers, providing critical data for climate impact assessment, hydrological planning, and long-term monitoring in remote mountain regions.

Abstract

The Islamic tradition of aqiqah is normatively prescribed by the slaughter of a goat as a form of gratitude for the birth of a child. However, the people of Torosiaje Jaya Village practice the qukkor tradition by slaughtering a chicken as an alternative form that has developed through generations. This study aims to uncover the meaning and implications of using chickens in the aqiqah tradition and examine the implementation of living hadith in this local cultural practice. Using qualitative methods with an anthropological and historical approach, as well as thematic hadith analysis (maudhu'i), this study found that the qukkor tradition reflects the adaptation of hadith values in the socio-economic context of the community. In addition to preserving local culture, this practice strengthens social solidarity and the community's religious identity. Differences in community understanding between the slaughter of chickens and goats reflect the dynamics of the meaning of hadith in everyday life, making this tradition a concrete representation of living hadith that develops in the local cultural realm.

Abstract

The digital transformation in the Islamic finance industry presents complex challenges to the effectiveness of the Islamic supervisory system. This study aims to analyze the strategic role of the Islamic Supervisory Board (SSB) in the digital financial ecosystem and identify key challenges and policy directions needed to strengthen its supervisory function. The research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and case studies based on secondary literature, encompassing national regulations, policy reports, and recent scientific articles. Key findings indicate that the SSB faces structural, regulatory, and technological constraints that impact its supervisory effectiveness, particularly in the face of developments in financial technology such as Islamic fintech and digital banking. The lack of specific regulations, low technological literacy among SSB members, and limited institutional capacity hinder adaptive supervisory integration. The study also highlights the importance of utilizing real-time audit technology and strengthening regulations based on the principles of maqasid sharia to support the sustainability of the digital Islamic financial system. The study's conclusions emphasize that strengthening Islamic supervision in the digital era requires regulatory reform, increased human resource capacity, and technology integration based on Islamic governance principles. This study has implications for policy design and the development of an innovative and sustainable Islamic supervisory system.
