Abstract

This article discusses the application of ethical values contained in the Qur'an and Hadith in Human Resource Management (HRM) practices. Islamic values such as honesty, justice, trustworthiness, consultation, and benevolence are considered fundamental principles that can shape an ethical, fair, and sustainable human resource management system. This research emphasizes the importance of applying these values to create a harmonious work environment, improve employee welfare, and achieve organizational goals effectively and efficiently. This article also identifies the challenges faced in the implementation of Islamic principles in HR management, such as resistance to change, cultural differences, and limited understanding of Islamic ethics in the context of the modern workplace. Additionally, practical solutions and recommendations such as continuous training, the role of leaders as role models, and aligning policies with local regulations are proposed to address these challenges. In conclusion, the application of ethical values from the Qur'an and Hadith in HR management practices can result in organizations that are more just, productive, and oriented towards the welfare of all parties, as well as enhance the integrity and sustainability of the organization.

Abstract

Background: Waste management and pollution prevention in naval engineering operations are critical to minimizing environmental damage and ensuring regulatory compliance. The Sulawesi Sea’s fragile ecosystem and maritime sustainability goals necessitate an effective and structured waste management framework for naval institutions. Despite the existence of environmental regulations, challenges persist in compliance enforcement, cadet training, and operational waste disposal efficiency. Original Value: This research contributes to naval environmental sustainability by developing a structured waste management model tailored to naval engineering training institutions. Unlike previous studies that focus on commercial shipping waste, this study provides a specific analysis of waste generation in naval engineering settings and offers targeted improvements for pollution prevention. Objectives: The study addresses how an optimized waste management and pollution prevention model can improve environmental sustainability in naval engineering operations, while also identifying training gaps and regulatory compliance challenges. Methodology: The research employs qualitative analysis through expert interviews, field observations, and structured surveys to evaluate current waste management effectiveness, regulatory adherence, and cadet engagement. Results: Findings indicate that waste segregation and pollution prevention measures are effective (88-92/100), but regulatory enforcement and hands-on cadet training require improvement (85/100). The proposed model is feasible (87/100) and cost-effective (89/100), ensuring long-term operational sustainability. Conclusions: Implementing structured waste policies, enhanced training modules, and technological advancements will optimize waste management in naval institutions, reducing environmental impact while improving regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

Abstract

Background: The maritime industry is shifting towards sustainable propulsion technologies due to rising fuel costs, stringent environmental regulations, and the need for energy-efficient naval operations. Traditional diesel-powered naval vessels face operational inefficiencies and high emissions, particularly in tropical marine environments where heat and salinity impact propulsion system performance. This study evaluates the feasibility and efficiency of hybrid and electric propulsion systems for small naval vessels, considering their performance under extreme environmental conditions. Original Value: Unlike previous studies that focus on alternative propulsion in commercial vessels, this research specifically analyzes naval applications in tropical environments, addressing operational feasibility, environmental sustainability, and economic implications. Objectives: This study seeks to answer: How do hybrid and electric propulsion systems compare to traditional diesel engines in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact in tropical waters? Methodology: A qualitative-empirical approach was employed, integrating sensor-based propulsion performance monitoring, expert interviews, and cost-benefit analysis to evaluate fuel efficiency, emission reduction, and long-term maintenance costs. Results: The findings indicate that hybrid and electric propulsion systems significantly reduce fuel consumption (89/100), lower operational costs (91/100), and cut emissions (94/100). However, battery efficiency in high temperatures (85/100) and infrastructure readiness remain challenges. Conclusions: Hybrid propulsion emerges as the most practical solution for naval modernization, offering a balance between efficiency and cost-effectiveness, while fully electric propulsion is best suited for short-range operations.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has resulted in significant social, economic, and cultural changes that have taken place so quickly, making the world borderless. Especially technological advances in gadgets make it easier for us to communicate and do work. Internet access has become simple and fast, accessible anywhere and anytime. In this study, the author uses the Normative Legal Research method, research that focuses on legal norms in the form of laws and regulations. The transaction model in the marketplace has advantages compared to forums, social networks, or conventional advertising. Among them are the availability of joint account facilities without fees, the ability to determine minimum purchases by sellers, and the choice of a discount system for large purchases. In addition, the marketplace also provides automatic shipping cost calculations, online payment confirmation processes, and automatic checking of the status of goods delivery. The Consumer Protection Law (UUPK) provides rights for consumers, such as the right to receive goods according to orders, compensation in the event of default, and the right to file complaints. However, business actors also have rights, including the right to payment according to agreement and legal protection from consumer actions that are not in good faith.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in natural resources, yet it continues to face various complex environmental problems. Environmental degradation is not only caused by natural factors but also by irresponsible human actions. In legal terms, environmental protection is regulated under several laws, including Law Number 32 of 2009. However, victims of environmental crimes often do not receive optimal legal protection. The Indonesian criminal justice system remains offender-oriented, placing greater emphasis on the rights of perpetrators rather than victims. As a result, victims' rights are often neglected during legal proceedings. This research aims to examine the existing regulations regarding legal protection for victims in Indonesia and to propose efforts for optimizing such protection, particularly in the context of environmental crimes. The research uses a normative juridical method with a statutory and literature approach. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the improvement of a legal system that is more victim-oriented, especially in environmental crime cases.

Abstract

The problem regarding hadith as a source of local Acehnese wisdom in the qanun and special autonomy laws lies in the challenge of integration between the teachings of Islam and the dynamics of modern law that prevail. Its application in the qanun and laws often encounters obstacles in balancing the interests of religion, local culture, and the development of broader national law. This research uses the library research method, which focuses on collecting secondary data through literature studies. The results of the research show that: 1). The reason for using hadith as a source of local Acehnese wisdom in the formation of qanun and special autonomy laws is because it has moral and ethical values that are relevant to the social life of the Acehnese people, the majority of whom are Muslims. In the context of special autonomy, hadith is used to strengthen Acehnese religious and cultural identity in the formation of qanun and laws and regulations that are in line with Islamic sharia principles. 2). The role of hadith as a source of local Acehnese wisdom in the formation of qanun and special autonomy laws is that hadith acts as a normative basis in formulating qanun and laws in Aceh, by providing guidelines in policy formulation that includes social, economic, and legal aspects. 3). The form of application of hadith as a source of local wisdom in Aceh in the formation of qanun and special autonomy laws is seen in the arrangement that includes Islamic criminal law, muamalah, and education, by adjusting Islamic norms and local wisdom of Aceh. Hadith is used as a guideline in formulating fair rules, prioritizing social justice, and maintaining the morality of society according to Islamic teachings.
