Abstract

Effective waste management in large cities requires integrated solutions based on improving infrastructure capacity, public awareness, and policies that support more sustainable waste management. To this day, waste remains a major issue for urban communities, such as in Tangerang City. This study aims to find solutions for managing waste so that it no longer becomes a problem but instead transforms into a commodity with economic value. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection conducted through a literature study. The findings conclude that both the government and society must change their perspective on waste, viewing it not as a problem but as a commodity with economic potential. This paper suggests that the Tangerang City Government establish a regional company with a core business in waste production—whether through biocycle farming for organic waste or by setting up an industrial processing system for inorganic waste based on its type

Abstract

A Police Security Intelligence (Intelkam) acts as the "eyes and ears" in early detection and anticipation of threats to security and public order (Kamtibmas). One of the main challenges faced is the armed criminal group (KKB) in Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua, which often terrorizes civilians and armed contact with security forces. KKB aims to separate Papua from the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. This research aims to analyze the role and strategy of the Polres Intelkam unit in handling KKB in Intan Jaya. The method used is empirical legal research, which examines facts based on interviews and observations of police actions in dealing with this separatist group. The results showed that Intan Jaya Police implemented a mobilization strategy by working with community, religious and traditional leaders to build social resilience against the influence of separatism. In addition, Intelkam carries out the functions of investigation, security, and mobilization in its operations, both open and closed. In conclusion, the Intan Jaya Police Intelkam strategy plays an important role in creating conducive conditions and stemming the influence of KKB in the community through security and community approaches.

Abstract

Small business financing in Indonesia faces various challenges, such as limited access to finance, low financial literacy, and lack of guarantees. Although small businesses contribute significantly to the economy, many SMEs have difficulty obtaining appropriate financing. Various financing alternatives, such as fintech, microcredit, and government programs, are beginning to develop to overcome these obstacles. However, education is still needed related to financial management and increasing access to financing so that SMEs can grow sustainably. This article discusses the current state of small business financing and provides recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the SME financing system in Indonesia.

Abstract

The difficulty of finding work in the country encourages many Indonesian workers to work abroad. To be able to leave Indonesia and be accepted in the destination country, one must have a visa as an entry permit and travel permit. However, there are still many people who do not understand the administrative procedures for visa processing, so service bureaus have emerged that offer document processing services. These service bureaus require operational and service fees. However, there are many cases where service bureaus receive money but do not fulfill their obligations, resulting in disputes that lead to police reports. This research examines criminal liability in visa processing fraud cases, with a focus on Police Report Case Study Number: LP/432/IX/2020/SULUT/SPKT. In addition, this study also analyzes the legal consequences of criminal fraud in visa management. The research method used is normative legal research, which examines legal norms based on a statutory approach. The analysis is carried out normatively qualitative with inductive logic, using the method of interpretation and comparative legal construction. In criminal law, fault is an important element in determining criminal liability. The principle of “no punishment without fault” emphasizes that a person can only be convicted if proven guilty. The legal consequences of the crime of visa fraud are criminal sanctions in accordance with Article 378 of the Criminal Code, which stipulates a maximum imprisonment of four years for perpetrators of fraud.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze consumer protection in online buying and selling transactions from a legal perspective, with a focus on the implementation of electronic contracts in Indonesia. In the era of e-commerce that continues to evolve rapidly, it is important to understand the legal protection mechanisms that can overcome challenges in online transactions, such as fraud and unclear product information. The research method used is a normative juridical approach with literature studies that include laws and regulations, legal documents, and analysis of various case studies related to online sales contracts. The results of the study show that although there have been several regulations regulating electronic contracts and consumer protection, the application of the law in practice still encounters various obstacles. Weak oversight and a lack of consumer understanding of their rights are major challenges. Other findings show that online sales and purchase contracts must comply with the provisions of the validity of the agreement based on the Civil Code. At the same time, the Consumer Protection Law and the ITE Law provide a strong legal basis for the protection of consumer rights. However, law enforcement still needs to be improved, especially regarding the anonymity of perpetrators and the diversity of international law. This research also highlights the importance of the role of the National Police in handling online buying and selling cases and consumer protection through prevention, investigation, and stricter law enforcement. Overall, this study suggests that the government should strengthen regulations and increase education to consumers to create a safe and reliable e-commerce ecosystem

Abstract

This study examines the impact of social media usage intensity on consumerism levels among adolescents in Tangerang. With approximately 99% of teenagers aged 13-18 actively engaging on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, the research highlights both positive and negative consequences. Social media enhances connectivity and provides easy access to information, yet it also exposes youth to risks such as cyberbullying, unrealistic beauty standards, and addiction. The findings indicate a significant correlation between high social media usage and increased consumer behavior, driven by targeted advertising and influencer culture. This underscores the necessity for financial literacy and responsible social media practices among adolescents to mitigate adverse effects while maximizing benefits. The study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing a correlational design to analyze data collected from 400 respondents through questionnaires. Results demonstrate a strong positive correlation between social media usage and consumerism, suggesting that increased exposure to marketing content influences adolescents' purchasing decisions. By addressing the psychological implications of social media on youth, this research contributes to understanding the broader societal impacts of digital engagement on consumer behavior. Ultimately, the study advocates for guidance from parents and educators to foster healthier online habits among adolescents, ensuring that social media serves as a tool for positive development rather than a catalyst for detrimental consumerist tendencies.

Abstract

The early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) is universally recognized as the optimal method of infant nutrition and plays a crucial role in promoting both maternal and child health. Early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD)—the practice of beginning breastfeeding within the first hour after birth—has been shown to provide essential health benefits, including boosting the infant’s immune system and fostering bonding between mother and child. The World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF emphasize that early initiation is critical for reducing infant mortality and morbidity, improving cognitive development, and preventing diseases such as respiratory infections and diarrhea. While the benefits of early breastfeeding initiation are well documented, significant barriers remain in its widespread adoption. These barriers are often systemic, ranging from inadequate healthcare infrastructure to cultural and societal attitudes. Public administration, which involves the design and implementation of policies, plays a pivotal role in overcoming these obstacles. This article explores how public administration approaches can promote EBI within healthcare systems, focusing on policy development, healthcare provider training, and public awareness campaigns.
