Abstract

The aim of this research was to measure the impact of organizational commitment on the perception of organizational activity among members of the Indonesian Catholic Student Association (Perhimpunan Mahasiswa Katholik Republik Indonesia or PMKRI). This study used a quantitative approach with correlational research design. The population in this study was the members of PMKRI Branch of Malang, who have been confirmed as members of PMKRI from the 2018 to 2020 academic years, with totaling 346 students. The sampling technique used in this study was non-probability sampling with an incidental sampling design, and a sample size of n = 110 students (32% of the population) was obtained. Data was collected using Likert scales, they were scale of perception of organizational activity which had reliability score 0,795 and scale of organizational commitment with reliability score 0,772, then analyzed using simple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there was a significant relationship between organizational commitment and the perception of organizational activity among members of PMKRI Branch of Malang. To improve organizational commitment, members can participate in organizational activities, take responsibility for their tasks, believe in the values of the organization, and remain loyal to the association. Additionally, the organization can evaluate the performance of its leaders and programs, and members and also leaders can work together to find solutions to improve the performance of the leaders and encourage members to become more active in the organization. For future research, it is recommended to expand the sample size and references to generalize the results to other branches of PMKRI.

Abstract

Verbal aggression is rife among K-Pop fans who use social media to communicate. One of the things that causes verbal aggression behavior is the tendency of fanaticism due to excessive enthusiasm. In addition, excessive fanaticism makes a person deindividuated and unable to control himself. On the other hand, Indonesia is a country that applies religiosity as a guide for behavior. This study aims to determine the effect of fanaticism, self-control, and religiosity on verbal aggression behavior in K-Pop fan students in Bandung. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a significant influence either partially or simultaneously between fanaticism, self-control, and religiosity on verbal aggression. Subjects in this study amounted to 291 students with accidental sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis using SPSS 26 software. The results of this study indicate that there is a simultaneous influence of fanaticism, self-control, and religiosity on verbal aggression behavior with a contribution value of 41%, which suggests that the tendency of fanaticism is due to enthusiasm that controls excessive self-esteem, low self-control, and understanding of extrinsic religiosity through social media among diehard K-pop fans are significant factors in the occurrence of verbal aggression phenomena such as fan-wars.

Abstract

Based on a survey with several students, it shows students had a conflict, debate, disputes, feelings of annoyance, so that they cannot solve problems with friends. The existence of conflict will have an impact on the quality of friendship. This study aims to determine the relationship between similarity and the quality of friendship in students of Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. This study uses a quantitative research method with a correlational approach and uses a scale measuring instrument, namely the similarity scale and the friendship quality scale. The sample in this study was 336 students from a population of 9591 students who were taken using incidental sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using the Pearson product moment correlation. The results of data analysis show the correlation coefficient value of 0.358 with a significance of 0.000 smaller than 0.05, meaning that there is a positive and significant relationship between similarity and friendship quality, the higher the similarity students have, the higher the friendship quality students have. On the other hand, the lower the similarity that students have, the lower the quality of friendship they have. The effective contribution of the similarity variable is 12.8% to the quality of friendship. While the remaining 87.2% is influenced by other factors.

The research instrument used resilience scale and anxiety scale in the form of google forms. The research results show that the F value equal with 52.784, 0.000 smaller than 0.05, which indicates there is significant role of resilience toward anxiety of covid-19 survivors. Abstract

The psychological issue in knowledge management faced by many national and international institutions is on how to implement one of its elements, i.e. knowledge sharing behaviour in which it is not simple. This study aims to determine the direct correlation of helping behaviour and knowledge sharing behaviour and the indirect correlation of both variables mediated by Islamic work ethics. It involved the employees of private higher institutions in Yogyakarta with certain categories by using knowledge sharing behaviour scale from Yi, helping behaviour scale from Duang, Wong and Yue and Islamic work ethics scale from Ali and Al-Owaihan. The results of the direct analysis of helping behaviour and knowledge-sharing behaviour obtained the value of 0.001, meaning that they were positively related and very significant, but the F test results or their contribution only reached 13.2%. Meanwhile, the results of the indirect relationship analysis showed that the Islamic work ethic acted as a moderator with a significance value of 0.035 and an F-test result of 0.243 or 24.3%. It meant that, as a moderator, Islamic work ethics played a role in increasing the relationship between helping behaviour and knowledge sharing behaviour by 11.1%.
