Abstract

The development of online transactions through social media presents convenience and risks for consumers, mainly due to the lack of regulations and legal protection mechanisms.  The goal of this study is to look at how Law Number 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection is applied to online transactions and see how much legal protection consumers get. The method utilized is normative legal and follows the law. The problem being studied is how customers are protected by law when they buy things online through social media The study's results show that although normative protection has been regulated, its implementation is still weak due to low law enforcement, a lack of information, and often irresponsible business actors. This study recommends strengthening regulations, consumer education, and stricter law enforcement.

Abstract

Trusmi batik is a national cultural asset that requires legal protection. Therefore, local governments must participate in maintaining this cultural heritage so that it becomes the pride of the nation. This study discusses the legal protection of the copyright of Trusmi batik from the perspective of national cultural protection, with a focus on consumer protection. The objectives of the research are to find out how to implement the Copyright Law and the government's strategic steps, especially the government of Cirebon Regency, to protect the cultural heritage of batik in Trusmi Village. This study will use the empirical Judicial method, which uses a qualitative approach through interviews and case studies to analyze the application of copyright in the batik industry.  The study's results show that even though the Laws and Regulations on Copyright have been implemented, there are still obstacles in law enforcement and understanding among craftsmen. On the other hand, consumers are often less aware of the importance of copyright, so they risk buying products that infringe copyright.  This article suggests the need for socialization and education about copyright, as well as cooperation between the government, artisans, and consumers, to create a better ecosystem for copyright and consumer protection in the batik industry.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in sales, operating costs, and net income before and after the 11% income tax rate increase. The population in this study were non-cylical consumer companies with a research sample of 24 food and beverage sub-sector companies eliminated by several criteria. The research method used is descriptive and comparative statistics with normality tests, assumption tests, and different tests, researchers use the help of SPSS software version 22. The results showed that there were differences in sales because the increase in VAT had an impact on the increase in selling prices. Then, there are differences in operating costs because VAT is attached to the price of raw materials that the company will purchase, resulting in an increase in the cost of goods manufactured. The increase in the cost of goods produced has an impact on increasing operating costs. Meanwhile, there is no difference in net profit before and after the VAT increase, this is because the company's profit is not directly related to changes in VAT because it has been considered at the time of charging operational costs and the company's profit is more dominantly influenced by changes in income tax.

Abstract

The development of international law reflects efforts to create a more just, peaceful, and stable global social order. Countries seek to protect so that people can enjoy fundamental rights, including intellectual property rights (IPR). However, in practice, violations of IPR are still rampant, including in Indonesia. The method employed is a normative juridical approach, involving an analysis of national laws and regulations, as well as international legal instruments that regulate the protection of IPR. The study's results show that, although Indonesia has a sufficient legal basis, challenges persist in aspects such as implementation, supervision, and coordination between institutions. The status of the Priority Watch List (PWL) provides pressure, while also presenting an opportunity for Indonesia to improve its laws, strengthen enforcement, and increase public awareness of respecting IPR in the digital era.

- This study aims to examine the extent to which safety motivation mediates the influence of full range leadership and safety climate on safety performance within the coal mining industry in Indonesia.A quantitative method was employed using cross-sectional and one-shot data techniques through a structured questionnaire distributed via Google Form. Data were processed using AMOS 23 and SPSS 26 software.Safety motivation fully mediates the influence of transformational, transactional, and laissez-faire leadership on safety performance. Safety motivation partially mediates the influence of safety climate on safety performance. Limitations and Recommendations – Future researchers may consider involving employees from other mining sectors such as nickel, sand, and gold or another industry. Respondents should also include individuals beyond staff-level positions. Originality/Value – This study investigates the influence of full range leadership and safety climate on safety performance, with safety motivation as a mediator. It presents a novel contribution by not merely replicating previous studies. Moreover, it incorporates both leadership style and safety climate in analyzing safety performance. The object of this study is the coal mining industry in Indonesia.
