Abstract

This research shows that environmental problems in community development are still not fully resolved. For the Citarum River case, the government has already implemented the Harum Citarum Program. However, the local community itself determines whether or not the watershed is maintained. For this reason, educational and communication efforts from various parties concerned about this problem are necessary. Included in this are the clergy and religious communication. This is because the local community is religious. This sociological study explores public opinion on raising awareness of environmental literacy with a religious approach.

Abstract

This paper will discuss the Khilafah ideological campaign by Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) before the revocation of operational permits by the government in 2017. The opening of the tap for democratization after the fall of the New Order regime led to the proliferation of new mass organizations, including religious organizations. HTI entered Indonesia in the 1980s because of the opportunities due to the opening of the faucet of democracy. They are aggressively carrying out large-scale campaigns to ground their ideology and ideals, namely forming an Islamic state (Khilafah Islamiyah). HTI cleverly campaigns for the caliphate ideology through their significant events, namely in conferences, leaders' conferences, and the My Movement plan for teenagers. In addition, HTI also campaigns for a caliphate through print media, namely Al-Islam, Al-Wa-ie', and Media Ummat. In responding to the challenges of the times, HTI uses social media as another campaign instrument. They also managed to “advertise” their young figures who became new role models for Islam among the millennial generation through social media. The revocation of operational permits by the government marked the end of the offline HTI campaign, although their struggles on social media did not stop. Social media with the principle of openness became the main instrument of HTI's campaign after the government dissolved it.

Abstract

The idea of feminism in Indonesia originated in the Dutch colonial period at the end of the 19th century. We saw lots of young women in the struggle against the colonialists. Besides the Idea of Feminism, a movement of Indonesian feminism emerged during the Old Order era named Gerwani (Indonesian Women's Movement), which was founded in the 1950s. The Feminism Movement in Indonesia operates in several ways. Such as organizations, institutions, writings, seminars, and various movements. The beginning of feminist interpretation in Indonesia emerged after Indonesian independence and Islamic education and literature in Indonesia. During the Old Order era, educational facilities and Islamic literature began to be institutionalized, such as the emergence of the State’s Islamic Higher Education (PTAIN) and Islamic University of Indonesia (UII). In Indonesia, the development stage of women ' s interpretation which emerged around the 1960s when Buya Hamka wrote Tafsir Al-Azhar and began to develop rapidly in the1990s with the emergence of several writings by Quraish-Shihab, which were then by several theses and dissertations among Indonesian Muslim intellectuals, which discussed the concepts of the Qur'an. Abstract

Performing arts are not created by accident, but they are made based on the values, world views, and beliefs of artists and their publics as part of a socio-cultural activity of society. Artists create, package, and create performing arts as part of creative efforts carried out by a constructive spirit through symbolic actions. This study aims to determine the implementation of one of the Sunda Reak arts in creating a peaceful society following the values of Indonesian multiculturalism. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach to describe Reak's artistic values in creating a quiet life in society. In ancient times, ancient ancestors implemented peacebuilding in future generations through activities cultured as traditions in the community. The findings of this study indicate that Reak art is not just an entertainment show because some sources say that tradition is an ancestral heritage that is so sacred and becomes a necessity for social beings in living life.

In 1965 a translation of the Holy Koran of the Ministry of Religion was printed, consisting of three volumes. During the New Order government, 1972, a team of experts on the interpretation of the Koran was formed. Three years later, in 1975, published for the first time a volume of one-volume tafsir of the first three chapters of the Koran, 1980 this tafsir work was complete up to thirty juz. Also, the government also enriches the interpretation and translation of the Koran using local dialects and the treasury of the Indonesian Koran. For example, the translation and interpretation of the Sundanese Koran published by the provincial government and the West Java regional office of the Ministry of Religion. Besides, the Indonesian Ministry of Religion's Research and Development Center for Literature has published a translation of the Koran in Sundanese, along with the publication of a translated Koran using 15 other local languages. The formulation of the government's interpretation underwent changes that coincided with the transition of power from the New Order to the reformation. The difference is evident in the approach of its interpretation which has shifted from al-tahlîli (descriptive-analytical) with an hidâ'i (guidance) style to a method maudû'i (thematic) with an 'ilmî (scientific) style.
