Abstract

This research seeks to explain the systematics of tafsir al-Maraghi, which includes the background of interpreters, sources, and patterns of interpreters, especially in the particular aspect of Ahmad Musthafa al-Maraghi's method of compiling his tafsir. This research needs to be done considering that tafsir al-Maraghi is quite in demand by many tafsir researchers because it uses the technique of tafsir adab al-ijtimā'ī, a short writing style, and terms that are easy to understand. In the study of the tafsir, it was found that al-Maraghi deliberately omitted unimportant discussions, such as the grammatical aspect, so that the reader would not get caught up in the text but the context of the interpreter. This research used descriptive analysis methods based on library research. The results of this study reveal that Ahmad Musthafa al-Maraghi has at least eight unique methods in compiling the book of tafsir, with special procedures that have been designed by al-Maraghi to make this book acceptable and in demand by the public and popular, especially in the modern century.

Abstract

The Tafsir al-Mishbah can be said to be the greatest work of M. Quraish Shihab. The discussion of each chapter begins with an explanation of the main theme of the letter. Then the verses are grouped into certain sub-themes. The explanation of the verses is focused on explaining according to the theme and sub-theme. This makes it very easy for readers to be able to understand the meaning of the verses and letters being discussed. This paper is intended to analyze the interpretation method of al-Mishbah tafir, with more focus on his method. In general, the Al-Mishbah exegesis uses the tahlily method by interpreting the verses of the al-Qur'an from the various aspects contained in the interpreted verses and explaining the meanings contained therein. The interpretation of Al-Mishbah has two main features, namely social-culture (al-adabi al-ijtima'i) and the language aspect (lughowi). Al-Mishbah Tafsir is a bi al-ra'yi type of interpretation because its interpretation is more based on the results of ijtihad, whether ijtihad itself or by quoting the results of ijtihad by previous mufassirs. The presentation method adopted by Quraish Shihab makes it easy for the reader to understand the explanation presented. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the interpretation of al-Mishbah has a special method that distinguishes it from interpretations that use other tahlily methods.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the differences in the religious attitudes of Muslim women before and during the Covid-19 pandemic and to explain the various challenges faced by Muslim women in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic in Cinanjung Tanjungsari Village, Sumedang, West Java. The method used in this paper is descriptive-analytical with a qualitative approach. The process of data collection is done through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study uses the Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, and Latency (AGIL) theory from Talcott Parsons. The findings of this study are, first, the adaptation process carried out by Muslim women when carrying out religious routines during the Covid-19 pandemic is by implementing health protocols following the recommendations of the local government. Second, the challenges that some Muslim women face during the Covid-19 pandemic are the limited ability to operate technology as a medium for worship activities, work, and study. However, the 'force' to master technology has caused Muslim women to slowly get to know social media and start to be able to operate it. Third, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has caused changes to the religious diversity of Muslim women who are increasingly diligent and obedient in carrying out worship because of the unfavorable situation and conditions due to the pandemic. This study can provide insight into the extent of adaptation of society, especially women, to the Covid-19 outbreak in a suburban area.

Abstract

Secara umum, buku yang penulis review merupakan karya Dr. H. Ajid Thohir, M. Ag, seorang pakar sejarah dari UIN SGD Bandung. Sebagai seorang dosen, peneliti serta praktisi TQN di Suryalaya, kelengkapan karyanya begitu mumpuni. Daya tawar karyanya merefleksikan para pembaca untuk membaca dengan bahasa yang sederhana, segar dan nyaman untuk terus ditelaah. Terdiri atas 6 bab berisikan materi tentang (1) hubungan politik dan tasawuf; (2) spiritualitas dan intelektualitas Islam kaum tarekat; (3) gerakan tarekat di Indonesia; (4) ajaran TQN; (5) asal usul TQN dan jaringan politik; (6) serta bab utama gerakan politik kaum tarekat di Pulau Jawa adalah pembahasan segar untuk membedah dimensi agama dan politik pada jam’iyyah kaum tarekat di Indonesia.

Abstract

Hadirnya tafsir sebagai penjelas terhadap ayat Al-Qur`an sepertinya menjadi salah satu kajian yang sangat menarik dan penting untuk dilakukan. Pasalnya tafsir menjadi  salah satu legitimasi ummat dalam menjalankan kehidupannya. Karena pentingnya tafsir, itu artinya hadirnya para mufassir menjadi sangat penting pula sebagai orang yang menafsirkan. Seluruh metode mufassir dalam menafsirkan Al-Qur`an terbagi kepada empat metode umum. Namun diantara keempat itu masing-masing mufassir memiliki kehasan dalam menafsirkan. Tidak terkecuali untuk seorang mufasiir yang bernama Al-Alusi. Kitab Ruh Al-Ma’ani menjadi produk tafsir yang ia susun memiliki kekhasan meskipun bermanhaj tahlili yang juga dimiliki oleh mufassir lainya, namun kehadiran tafsir yang dilakukan Al-Alusi ini mampu menghadirkan metode khas yang memadukan sumber ma’tsur, ra’yu dan isari. Hal ini dengan apik dituangkan oleh Al-Alusi dalam kitabnya seperti contoh saat Al-Alusi mengkritisi riwayat-riwayat israiliyat. Penelitian yang dilakukan dengan liblary murni melalui metode deskriptif analisis yaitu menjelaskan tentang apa saja kekhasan metode yang dilakukan Al-Alusi dalam kitabnya.

Abstract

Kajian ayat-ayat Alquran dalam klasifikasi qath'iy dan zhanniy memang bukan wacana baru. Ilmuwan muslim era klasik telah menginisiasi pembahasan qath'iy dan zhanniy dalam kerangka ijtihad dalam memahami teks-teks di era kontemporer, isu qath'iy dan zhanniy, meskipun pembahasannya telah didahului di era klasik, Disadari bahwa mereka masih menyisakan ruang untuk diskusi terkait kontekstualisme mereka daripada sekadar doktrin dogmatifnya. Dari perspektif otoritas keilmuan misalnya, ada pandangan yang mengisyaratkan bahwa masalah qath'iy dan zhanniy lebih tepat menjadi wacana ushul fiqh daripada ulum Al-Qurān dan bukan merupakan salah satu pokok bahasan. diskusi untuk muftassirin dalam proses interpretasi. Selain itu, menurut Imam As-Syatibi, pengkategorian ayat Alquran ke dalam qathiy dan zhanniy merupakan ijtihad ulama yang tidak harus dilihat secara dogmatis. Sehingga dalam pengertian dan penerapan qathiy dan zhanniy harus dipahami dalam pengertian yang lebih dinamis.

Abstract

Not infrequently, there is a gap between Sufi idealism and the reality between worship carried out in the Shari'a and Riyadah carried out. So it is not uncommon for lay views to show sinful acts. This is the background for researchers to focus on the interpretation of al-Qusyairi and al-Alusi on the word ithm in the Koran. This study aims to analyze the understanding of ithm in the perspective of two Sufi commentators more deeply. The approach used is the semantic theory according to Toshihiko Izutsu, the irfâni epistemology theory according to Abid al-Jabiri and the muqâran (comparative) method according to al-Farmawi. The results of this study are as follows: First, al-Qushairi interprets the word ithm in general, and focuses more on the context of the perpetrator. Meanwhile, al-Alûsi analyzes it in more detail with various contexts. Al-Alûsi interprets lafadz Ithm with the meaning of sin or a job that hinders the reward.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the role of Islamic community organizations in Indonesia's development. The method used in this paper is descriptive analysis. The discussion results show that Islamic organizations played a role in the struggle for independence in the cases of the Nahdlatul Ulama Jihad Resolution and the Muhammadiyah Jihad Mandate. The role of post-independence until now has been Nahdlatul Ulama Islamic Boarding School Education and Muhammadiyah Formal Education. Islamic organizations need to play an active role in Indonesia's development in terms of its role as a liaison between people's aspirations and the government. Also that Islamic organizations must increase their role in deradicalization programs to prevent terrorist acts and radicalism.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the Sufistic interpretation in Indonesia. The research method used is a qualitative type through literature study. The results and discussion of this article include an overview of Sufism's history in Indonesia, the style of interpretation, and its characters. This article concludes that the Sufi interpretation emerged in Indonesia in the 17th century AD due to historical wounds in the development of Islam in Indonesia related to esoteric Islam. The emergence of Sufistic interpretation in Indonesia was motivated by Hamzah Fansuri and Syamsuddin Sumatrani. Sufistic interpretation uses the Isyari and Nadzhari interpretations with a spiritual or esoteric style.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang rasio maudhu'i dan semantik. Tafsir maudhu'iy merupakan istilah yang masih tergolong baru dalam kajian tafsir al-Qur'an. Istilah ini hanya digunakan saat ini oleh para ahli tafsir, khususnya para ulama kontemporer. Tidak bisa dipungkiri meski terlihat berbeda, namun tafsir maudhu'iy tidak bisa dipisahkan dari tafsir tahlili, karena mengandung unsur tahlili. Berangkat dari latar belakang tersebut artikel ini mencoba mengungkap apa yang dimaksud dengan tafsir maudhu'iy. Sementara, semantik adalah studi analitis tentang istilah-istilah kunci bahasa dengan pandangan yang pada akhirnya menemukan pemahaman konseptual tentang pandangan dunia orang-orang yang menggunakan bahasa sebagai alat untuk tidak hanya berbicara dan berpikir tetapi yang lebih penting untuk mengkonseptualisasikan dan menafsirkan dunia. Semantik adalah teori makna, dan tentang hubungan antara pembeda linguistik dan hubungan simbol atau proses mental dalam aktivitas komunikatif.
