Abstract

This article discusses the special manhaj in al-Razi's interpretation of Mafâtih al-Ghaib. This study is discussed to find out the methodology that is specifically carried out by al-Razi in his research. The writing of this article uses a literature-based descriptive-analytical method. This study concludes that there are 11 special manhajs used by al-Razy in Mafatih al-Ghayb. First, the writer is familiar with mas'alah, bahts, qaul, and ihtimal. Second, using imaginary dialogue to eliminate misunderstandings or sharpen the discussion. Third, using ash'ariyyah theology in theological verses and Shafi'i fiqh in legal verses. Fourth, strengthen the interpretation with various opinions of scholars. Fifth, put qira'at mutawatir in verse and reject it if it is contradictory. Sometimes hujjah with qira'at put forward by grammar experts, even accept qira'at if appropriate and strengthen it against a verse. Sixth, using the munasabah theory. Seventh, using asbab al-nuzul. Eighth, using nasakh-mansukh in the sense of al-raf'. Ninth, the hadith used is limited in fiqh matters. Tenth, using 'Arabic poetry. Eleventh, using Israel's history objectively.

Abstract

The discussion on the definition of thematic (maudu’i) interpretation or what is commonly called thematic interpretation is a product of interpretation that solves every existing problem. The periodization of the development of maudu’i interpretation is also an important thing that must be known and understood both among the academics of the interpretation of science and the general public. Especially among commentators, because by knowing the periodization, academics can find out the characteristics of the interpretation. There are still few articles that discuss the periodicity of maudu’i interpretations; therefore in this article, the author will discuss the development of maudu’i interpretations from time to time, where the forerunner of Maudu’i interpretations has existed since the time of the prophet. Still, Maudu’i interpretations that have been neatly arranged as new methodologies have been formed recently. Among the periods to be discussed are: Prophet Muhammad's Period, Classical/Mutaqaddimin Period (1-2 H / 6-7 AD), Medieval Period (3-9H/9-15M), and Modern-Contemporary Period (12th Century AD). 14H / 18-21 AD). What makes the difference in the development of maudu’i interpretation of the four phases is the methodology. More recently the science of interpretation is also growing, including maudu’i interpretation.

Abstract

This study describes the dynamics of the development of the democratic system in Protestants. This study takes the writings of Paul Freston in a book entitled Religion and Politics. The method used in this research is qualitative, with library research involving books and other references related to the research topic. Data analysis was done by the comparative method. In this study, it is found that the development of Western democracy is indebted to the Protestant system in the past. This study also explains that America is one of the countries that is still developing the principles of democracy liberally. Still, the role of Protestants is getting less and less visible due to competition between churches and differences in interests in society. The political system that teaches interests above all else has changed the order of Protestant democracy taught in the Bible system as discussed in this study. Pure democratic values are no longer implemented. This is in line with the writings of Paul Freston and the discovery of information in reference sources.

Abstract

Tafsir as an explanation for the holy book of the Al-Qur'an is one of the studies that never goes out of the way. The reason is that as an important branch of Islamic scholarship, it is one of the things that continues to be done considering that Muslims are obliged to understand the book of instructions. Overall the method of interpretation is divided into four in general, namely tahlili, ijmali, muqaran and maudhu'i. Among the tafsir books that use the tahili method in modern times is the al-Maraghi interpretation written by a mufassir named Ahmad Mustafa al-Maraghi. He has been devoting his skills in interpreting the Qur'an for 10 years with a distinction in it. Al-Maraghi in interpreting Alquan has a special method, namely classifying verses, explaining globally, explaining groups of verses in detail and presenting a history in explaining them. Then the interpretation of al-Maraghi is also away from the terms of science or science because the style of interpretation chosen is al-adab al-ijtima'i.

Abstract

This research focuses on the growing religious community in Bandung, namely Bandung Tattoo Council congregation, what kind of situation leads individuals to religion; that is the starting point of this study. This study aims to determine the motivation and religious expression of the Majelis Tato plural religious experience. This study used qualitative research methods. Data in this study were obtained through primary data sources coming from field information from administrators and members of the Majelis Tato and sourced from field information, from the surrounding community, and literature with documents, journals, academic research, articles, magazines, and books relating to the religious issues of the Majelis Tato congregation. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. Data analysis with data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion/verification. This study's results are the motivation of the Bandung Tattoo Council congregation, namely, experiencing the release of inner pressure so that it motivates them to join the Tattoo Council and have a religion (in the context of doing repentance). They feel that their life seems like that and feel the world makes them feel frustrated and makes them tired, so they think there is a need and urge to seek calm. As for the Tattoo Council congregation's religious experience, almost all of them depart from past behavior that they consider sinful to seek guidance through religion. Religious experience in deeds, namely, advice on reading and writing the Koran, guidance on worship practices, direction on memorizing Al-Qur'an, and personal recommendation.

Abstract

Al-Qur’an yang merupakan wahyu yang diturunkan kepada Nabi Muhammad Saw, diketahui memiliki bermacam jenis keilmuan yang memiliki nilai tinggi. Karena itu banyak para ilmuwan yang tertarik dan ingin mengungkap kodifikasi dari al-Qur’an. Berangkat dari hal tersebut, maka tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tentang sejarah lahirnya kodifikasi Al-Qur’an dan relevansinya dengan Pendidikan pada zaman sekarang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka. Dengan penelitian ini diketahui bahwa sejarah dan faktor yang melatarbelakangi lahirnya kodifikasi Al-Qur’an dikarenakan adanya keragaman dalam cara pembacaan Al-Qur`an (qira`at). Pada masa khalifah Utsman kebijakan kodifikasi Al-Qur’an dibuat yaitu membuat Mushaf standar yang ditulis dengan jenis penulisan baku. Dan seluruh mushaf yang berbeda dengan standar yang dihasilkan diperintahkan untuk dimusnahkan. Adanya kodifikasi AL-Quran merupakan salah satu tonggak sejarah penting bagi umat Islam.

Abstract

Understanding the holy book of the Koran, undergoes continuous changes, especially in terms of the interpretation of the holy text. Recently, the discourse of liberal interpretation has become something that deserves attention because it is considered capable of providing solutions to the problems of the modern era and raises many pros and cons. Several Muslim figures have even put forward a new offer to understand Islam liberally. This study intends to parse the background of the liberal interpretation in Indonesia and what methods it uses.

Abstract

Lautze 2 Mosque in Bandung was established in January 1997. The location of Lautze 2 Mosque is on Jl. Tamblong number 27 Bandung City. Lautze 2 Mosque is a branch of Lautze 1 Mosque in Jakarta. Lautze 2 Mosque in Bandung has its uniqueness, especially in the architecture of the building. Lautze 2 Mosque, conceptualized in the shape of a temple. The red, yellow, and gold paint colors that adorn the walls of the Lautze 2 Mosque reflect Chinese culture. In addition to the paint color, the ornaments that adorn the mosque also have a Chinese nuance. From 2016 to 2021, there were 151 who took the oath of faith at the Lautze 2 Mosque. In addition to religious activities, the Lautze 2 Mosque always held social programs. One of them is the iftar program and on the road a thousand dates. This activity was supported by various parties, one of which was the Salman Charity House. Not only Muslims who support this, but even many interfaith also donate to keep this activity. In writing this article, the theory used is the racial theory proposed by Murtadha Muttahari. According to him, the leading cause of historical progress is certain races.

Abstract

Abu Hayyan Al-Andalusiy compiled his interpretation in a very distinctive way through a linguistic approach as well as a steady and free interpretation. But on the one hand he rejects the categorization of interpretations carried out scientifically and bil ra'yi. This paper is structured to review how Abu Hayyan's method in parsing the interpretation of his work in the book of Bahrul Muhith analytically so that a pattern of his interpretation method is found, especially in relation to the category of special methods of interpreting the perspective of Abu Hayyan Al-Andalusy.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the steps of Maudu'i interpretation of the Qur'an. This method has steps in interpreting the Qur'an, and usually responds to the challenges of the times, is more practical, systematic, dynamic and easy to understand in its entirety by the general public. This method is relatively new and is considered actual in interpreting the Qur'an departing from a logical unity and interrelated with one another. The method used in this research is descriptive, a research method that seeks to analyze and describe something, such as existing conditions or relationships, developing opinions, and or ongoing processes. Based on this method, in this study, the author will attempt to reveal experts' understanding regarding the steps of maudu'i interpretation. From this theory, it can be seen that to get a complete understanding of the Qur'an according to a certain theme, we must take certain steps, starting from choosing or determining the topic of the Qur'an in a maudhu`i manner, collecting verses that relating to this problem, coherently compiling the verses according to the chronology of their descent, knowing the correlation (munasabah) of these verses in each letter, arranging the theme of discussion in an appropriate framework, completing the discussion and description with the hadith, and study the verses thematically and thoroughly.
